Pyracantha have huge thorns. The berries on our bushes fermented and we ended up with drunk robins. They’d lay down in the middle of the street 😂. Good job taming that one😊
Mark, you are a rain magnet. You must stop dancing around that camp fire and retire the loan cloth and feathers! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Nice little job and I’m glad you cleared that window. 👍👍👏👏
Nice job! Piracantha is a nasty plant to maintain, but adds a nice flash of winter colour in a year that's good for berries. Question: what brand of gloves are you using for the piracantha? And do they protect 100% from splinters? Lovely job cutting out the dead wood from the choysia, and I enjoyed the cuppa-leaf blower multi-tasking 😎
Yes nice to look at but not to handle! Not sure what the brand of gloves are but no they don’t fully protect you from the spikes! I’m glad you liked the multi tasking 😄👍
@@mdgardenservices7819 thank you for taking the time to reply. I am yet to find gloves that are flexible enough to work in but also strong enough to protect 100% from piracantha or hawthorn splinters...
Another trim and tidy up done..Wind was a bit gusty. Its been very gusty down here, hopefully it will stop here soon.. Are you going to go back to your Grans house for more tidying up? I think the hedge in front of the window could be cut lower..jmo..Stay Safe from a Tasmanian Watcher ❤️🙏👍🤗
That pyracantha is still blocking the smaller window and from the camera angle it overhangs the wall leading to the front door. Why homeowners allow bushes to take over is a mystery to me. Nice result as far as it went.
Great lesson as always Mark. Ive just planted choisa, and was wondering where I could get advice on how to manage them, as Im aware they are robust growers!
At 21:48 the top of the smaller window is visible and the tiniest amount of the lower part of the window. The lower part is essentially blocked. I can’t imagine how you can say it’s not covered up by that pyracantha. I’m not trying to be critical, I’m just saying what appears to be undeniable “evidence” 😊
ohooo... Pyracantha can be terrible to trim. My house had 9 of them; the more I trimmed, the bigger and faster they grew. Plus, I got an allergic reaction to them... Finally dug them all out... I didn't use a hedge trimmer; doofus me... Great job... I will see you again.
Ooopsie Daisie! lol that wind is crazy. Thanks for taking us along.
It was a bit blowy😄
I’ve had some many sharp jobs this week lovely job on this pyracantha
I’ve had lots of bramble work lol
Have a nice weekend mark
Oh I’ve had enough of brambles this year😅
I need to finish watching you vid
Hope you are having a good weekend 😊👍
Nice save. Super windy. Hopefully, it will recover. Blessings.
Thank you
Yes was a bit gusty!😅
Glad you butched that bush ! It will fill in now that their is light. I've done it many many times😂
Exactly 😊👍
Wonderful job as always you always know what to do fantastic Gardner ❤❤❤😊😊
Thanks so much 😊

Oh yes ! I hate them because of the thorns 😩😅👍
Excellent job Mark. Pyracantha are no joke with those wicked thorns!❤
You are correct it is definitely not a joke😬😅
Looks tidy again. Very nice Mark.
Thanks 👍🙂
Hi from New Zealand.... good job, personally I would liked the hedge to be lowered about a foot but each to their own 🙂
Thanks
I think most people have the same opinion 😄👍
Very nice! I’m always so impressed with the care that you take ❤
Thank you! 😊👍
Beautiful done, have a nice weekend.
Thank you! You too!😊👍
Nice video, thank you.

Oh the rain!!😬
I hope it doesn’t continue for this winter!😩
Thanks for watching 👍
Magic ❤

Здравствуйте. В помещении теперь будет больше света. Отличная работа! Марк удачи Вам и хороших выходных. ❤❤
Thanks
You too😊👍
Cool!
🤗
Pyracantha 😬 they have all the thorns😅 blower in one hand cuppa in the other👌👍
I thought someone would appreciate the blower and tea😄👍

Yes I’m hoping to get back to my grandmas as her bungalow is up for sale now so I wanted to finish tidying up! 😊👍

Thanks
Same to you 😊👍
Nice clean up. Too bad you couldn’t have cut the pyracantha bush down lower. I really like lower bushes across the front of a house.
I agree with you but the customer may have wanted it only lightly trimmed and tidied.
Thanks
They seem to like it how it is😄👍
Definitely would have been better cut the same lower level
👍🤩
😊👍

It’s not blocking the smaller window but probably looks like it from the angle!😊

Great lesson as always Mark. Ive just planted choisa, and was wondering where I could get advice on how to manage them, as Im aware they are robust growers!
Just stay on top of it and be diligent!!!
Thank you
They are fast growing so just keeping it to the size you are happy with.
Best not to prune during the winter as the cold can effect them😊👍
High bushes near the house gives a thief a place to hide to break in
You wouldn’t want hide near this!😆
Nice job shame the hedge could not be cut lower.
I know but they seem to like it there🙂
✨🏆✨
🤗
Like how u are pruning that low bush. Square hedgings hide the beauty and the true shape of the tree
😊👍
Yep,a small job but a pain in the arse to do😂
Oh yes!😅
I really don't think I would have or want one of those by my front door.
No not everyone would😆
I got dizzy and passed out there for a minute! 😉
😄👍
i personally hate how noisy the petrol hedge trimmer is. in a small street it fills the universe with echo lol.
I love the battery gear now but sometimes you still need petrol power😅

I think it’s just the angle the camera was at😅
Don't understand the purpose of tall bushes blocking the windows?
I think it’s more to cover the wall and was obviously not so big originally 😅
🙂
If it were my home, I would just level everything. Looks odd with the left side so high.
Lots of people would have it lower 😄

I have a huge one In my garden that’s long overdue a trim!!😅😩
