      Yep it will be, I'm in no real lush on this one either. Each leg should be interesting and it take me to places I otherwise woulnt probebly fly. I'm currently at Sydney (Two hops ahead of this one) Im guessing it will take two more to get to far north Queensland where I'll hop to Papua New Guinea. Then I have to decide if I'm gonna do a pass around the South Pacific Islands or head directly for South East Asia.

      @@MagzGTV if your going to island hop the Pacific islands you should do it in American or Japanese warbirds, just an idea

I don't know if timezones and latency and whatever will make it possible but if you want a wingman/piss-poor amateur historian to join up with when/if you make it to British Columbia let me know. @@whiskeytuesday I tend to fly at all sorts of odd times so it's more than likely one of those will line up. Will be a little while before I hit British Columbia but It is my pass through to North America. I plan to poke around the pacific, fly up through Japan and make the jump at the Bering Strait before heading south into the Americas.

    Hey Magz, glad to see you flying MSFS again! I'm very excited about this little undertaking, it's always fun and educational.
    The Waco YMF-5 is a nice plane, they did a great job. I'd also recommend the ATSimulations P-149D and the JustFlight Piper Arrow and Turbo Arrow. Also PMDG released their DC-6, if that's close enough to a DC-3 for you.
    Cheers from Canada!

  • @tacticalbacon7386
    @tacticalbacon7386 3 роки тому +2

    When you hit the U.S., I recommend hitting Stuart Powell Field in Danville, KY.
    If you go further west, definitely hit Monument Valley in Arizona, and then Grand TetonNational Park in Wyoming/Utah, then Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, and Glacier Park in Montana. There's a pass called "The Trench" that you can take through Canada in order to get to Alaska, if you're going that way.

    I know I will enjoy this series, because the taking some smaller airplanes around the world is exactly what I would do if I had the sim. I don't (yet), so I'll watch this instead. Also: I love the information you gae us during flight

    I'm doing a round the world trip in the F-15 at the moment but it is a bit of a cheat really. It's like flying an airliner but even faster and ludicrously easy to land. Also the module isn't great and it's not really a fun thing to be in. I'm looking forwards to the free Rhino later this year. As long as it has waypoints working like the old F-18 I'll be happy.
    I might do a round the world trip in the MB 339 though (which is fantastic). I wouldn't have the patience for doing it in a general aviation aircraft though. I occasionally mince around my local area in a Virus or something but honestly I just get bored quickly.

    If your doing a world tour, you could always island hop to asia, fly across west do africa, back upto UK, then all the way across to Laguna Uellen, Russia then fly over to WAA in Alaska then you could do all the america's.
    It was my plan to do around Australia then island hope to asia then follow that plan when I get a proper joystick

    I was lucky enough to complete several promotion, weapons and training courses at Point Cook/Laverton (no flying courses unfortunately) during my time with the AAFC (Australian Air Force Cadets) so it was cool to spot some very familiar looking roads and buildings during your opening shots of the base, kinda strange to see a road you've marched down or a building you've slept in represented in a video game. Looking forward to following your around the world trip, just try not to lose your bearings as you approach Howland Island :P

    Really enjoyed that. Haven’t had MFS loaded for a few years now (FSX Gold Edition as was), but now I have a shiny new gaming laptop, I might be tempted again. Lovely area - my late mum and I visited ‘stralia’ in early 1991 to see my brother and his wife who emigrated to Melbourne in 1989. We went to Bendigo (his sister-in-law lives there) and had a day trip to Echuca (so we could claim to have visited NSW (LOL). Happy memories. 👍
