From pants-soiling sirens to gentle, polite beeps, we're looking at some of our world's EAS alarm systems. I figured this would be fun to do as I've always been fascinated with these and how different they are.

Here's something I find chilling about the Chinese one. It's someone counting down the seconds in Chinese. For example, if there was an earthquake, it would be counting down the seconds until it impacts the threatened area.

The Finnish EAS doesn’t have an acoustic guitar in the background, its just the beeping you here. But it played over a tv show that was on that had an acoustic guitar playing as the music of the program.

They are designed using a Shepard tone which is an audial illusion that sounds like it’s constantly getting deeper and deeper which makes you anxious and on high alert.
