You must be refering to the english subtitles of the Hindi speech. And of course English is the international language of commerce and diplomacy in general. The last 2 global hegemons have been English speakers, so basically since around 1700, the global superpowers and most prolific economies on the planet used English... you think that just because they don't like the west, they wouldn't use the most effective tool in their toolbox? Again however, nowhere aside from loaner words (words found in every language that derives or is the word FIRST coined in english (esp things like names for technology) in the video but the English subtitles targeted towards the English speaking viewers was English spoken.

I’m not sure sure who which nations are included in this organization. It seems that India is more aligned to the United States and the EU.
BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The remaining nations generally are from the "global south", the middle east, Africa. Ideologically, yes India may align more with the west but BRICS isn't about ideology or military strategy per se. Its more about creating a multipolar global financial system that is NOT completely beholden to the all mighty United States Dollar/petroldollar system. They want an alternate mean to transact globally outside the dollar system. As it stands now, ALL COUNTRIES MUST USE THE DOLLAR for trade or else you get bombed (Libya & Iraq both tried to use gold and oil for trade) or if you do something the US doesn't like, such as invade Ukraine, the US unipolarely uses the SWIFT payment system to cut you off from the global economy (Russia currently and China under threat). Hence BRICS, they want a multipolar financial system not directly controlled by the US and only the US (the UN and Europe are effectively seen as vassal states of the US in this regard)

They haven’t achieved anything it’s more or less true. None of these brics countries actually agree on anything practical. The only thing they agree on is they don’t want the US dollar having a monopoly on world trade, but they’ve never managed to actually implement anything meaningful because they’re all led by autocrats, dictators and scumbags who don’t care for anything other than their own riches.

At the end of the day though, you are right they haven't really seemed to make a huge amount of headway but shifting global monetary systems are generally measured in many decades to a century or two not just 10 years. Look at the transition from Pound Sterling to US Dollar that transition took at least 50 years in earnest and it is 100% driven by the global hegemons strength in economy. The Brits went into decline after Queen Victoria and then got hit with WWI, depression, WWII and then they lost it to the USD post WWII when the US became the new hegemon but the Sterling to USD transition started happening in the late 1800's with the rise in US industrial power putting downward pressure on the sterling.
