I keep wondering how the series will diverge from the books here. I have always loved the chapter "Rather Messy." The description from Lord John's viewpoint is some of the best writing regarding Claire in the entire series. He refers to her as a great bird of prey, talon poised, referring to Claire with her scalpel. She reminds him of a general marshaling her troops, and he squares his shoulders as tho ready to obey her orders. He says she is the most unladylike woman he has ever met.
Did you watch it last night? Roger is looking for his son and in Season 7 Episode 8 he went through the stones expecting to arrive in the time period he, Brianna and the children left when they went to the future. Instead much to his surprise, he's arrived several years before the Battle of Culloden, which is why we see Geillis. Quite a surprise for all of us! 😬😳🤯
Why does Roger say that Gaylis killed 5 husbands? I count 3. One in the 60's before she went through the stones. Then the guy when Claire goes through and the one in Jamaica.
didnt she also poison the one she was married to in season 1 and that's why they came to take her to the witch trial? I just remembered as i wrote it...she poisoned him at a dinner, in public, at the Mackenzie's castle i guess i'm forgetting someone else, but Roger doesnt XD
He read about them in her journal when Claire broke into the Univ. and stole them from where Geillis had done her studies of the stones. Show people won't get this, but book readers do.
Yeah the other 2 were left unsaid. We don’t know anything about them, we just know that they existed and were killed (presumably by her). Roger is a historian.
I did wonder that considering it used to be a 2-3 months journey from UK to US by boat in the 1700s. Not to mention John had been writing to several places in search for her - a letter, even within the army could take upward of 6 months to get somewhere. By then the lad would be dead..
@@Kiina312 it was possible for a person to survive for several weeks or months with one or more musket balls lodged inside their body if the muskets didn't hit any major organs. Super uncomfortable and painful though. 😢
Who’s ready for Claire to cheat on Jamie for like the fourth time??😂😂😂it’s always hilarious to watch fans defend her being quick to have sex with people other then her husband by saying things like she did it because she loved Jamie so much and was so distraught and missed him so thats why she sleeps with other men😂😂
Starz, I hope you are judicious with the upcoming previews. You're very bad a keeping spoilers under wraps. Many won't watch them anymore because they prefer to be surprised. That's not good for your publicity. Just sayin...
You call them spoilers...the rest of us call them previews. Besides, the story has been around since June 1, 1991. It's hard to "surprise" book readers.
@@radicalreactions1633 FYI I've read all the books. Several times. But I do know people who haven't. I'm advocating for them. I'm done with this and your mean spirit.
“Am I a Shocking Sight To ye, Sir ? Lol. You gotta love her 😂😂😂 geillis lol.
I don’t love her … she’s like a thorn
Best show ever, thank goodness there will be season 8 too.
