- We Make Good (WMG) promotes equality, sustainable production, and Social Enterprise as a way of doing business that is good for people and the planet.
WMG exists to achieve two key goals, the first is about social inclusion and the second is environmental. WMG creates job opportunities and skill development for marginalised individuals, including those with incarceration experience, refugees, and people with disabilities, by providing workplace training and social support.
They promote Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISE) in Ireland through high-end product development and national marketing, while also contributing to the circular economy by offering repair services and using recycled materials.
WMG’s second key objective is to foster the circular economy in Ireland, aiming to reshape perceptions of this sector through high-quality services. They actively contribute to Ireland’s commitment to the European Union’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). WMG is currently implementing a new uniform repair and upcycling program, partly supported by the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC), and is developing repair services for the general public.
The primary social causes that We Make Good seek to address are:
• Specific Community
• Environment
• Disadvantaged People
• Disability
• Mental Illness
• Prisoners / ex-offenders
• Unemployment
• Addiction
• Migrants, Refugees, Asylum
• Education
