- Using Solid Element Operations (SEO) on a Mesh to create a road or path with the Slab Tool. Any changes to the Mesh, the Slab will automatically follow.
As a bonus tip, using the new AC23 Opening Tool, to create a platform.
Great technique! I t had never occurred to me that I could SEO the elements twice! Thank you!

Hi James, with the second option using the opening tool, Is it then possible to calculate the volume of the removed area. i.e. volume of ground excavated for building platform
Volume is calculated from the model, so if you need the before SEO you'll need a copy of the mesh without the SEO
I did a Terrain, subtract an Element, but it doens't show on the plane cut. Why is that please? Thx :)
Mesh is symbolic, so it's quick. You'd need to have it projected, one method you can use is the 3D Document from Floor Plan - helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/137249/
Can you use different shapes for the Opening Tool?
In AC25 now you can, with the new polygon opening shape. helpcenter.graphisoft.com/user-guide/136650/
For those listening, you might want to mute the video between 0:30 - 0:33. Still nice vid tho.
kre4ito yeah some issue with my machine, not sure why.
Got a slight heart attack but I'll live...
