    For so long I thought putting gel in my hair was needed to have a bomb wash n go but I would come across the same problems you stated in the video like tangles. I then started just putting in leave in conditioners and curl enhancing smoothie and to my surprise my wash n go was frizz free and soooo soft. Definitely sticking with no gels from now on.

    I did a wash and go with out gel like three days before this vid😂 it was my very first wash and go without gel and I loved it soooo much I will never use gel again. I had less shrinkage and product buildup.

    Girllll I just discovered this too! I only use a leave in conditioner, Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie, and my coconut oil/she butter mix and my hair was super defined and had NO frizz! And I'm gonna being doing this from now on because I hated the hard feeling hat the gel makes my hair feel like. I think the protein in gel also dries it out a little bit as well

    Have you tried the Eden Bodyworks leave in? I was ride or die for As I Am, until I discovered the Eden Bodyworks coconut cowash, leave in and curl defining cream. Those are my staples now. I've never tried a wash and go with the products though. I was tempted to try it since Eden Bodyworks has the new curling jelly. I never thought the jelly would cause detangling issues, so thank you!! I still may try it, but I need a look that can last 6-7 days and not be a nightmare to detangle. My hair tangles very easily. If I do a twist out it stays defined longer and doesn't frizz as easily as it does in a wash and go style.

    I noticed that you work on small sections at a time within each big section. Which seems to be worth it, because your curls look awesome! But I'm curious, how long does it normally take to do your hair; from the time you start washing it until it's dry?

    your hair is my hair goals😍😍😍 I hope to actually reach that length and get the definition you have. I've been using leave ins but I feel like they don't seem to help my curl definition as much as gel does which is weird. I have heat damage which I'm gradually trimming out of my hair and that damage could be a factor into why my curls aren't forming as they should. I love your videos and please post more!!!

    I stopped using gels for my wash & gos & ditto. GREAT RESULTS. I jus put in a leave in conditioner *preferably one that has Oil inside it (Oil is one of the ingredients) and finger coil my hair. Results?.CURLS POPPIN👌🏾

    I noticed that gels would make my hair really dry after the first day and they also create more shrinkage in my opinion.

  • @b3autiful13
    @b3autiful13 7 років тому +1

    Right now I'm taking a hiatus from gel due to it weighing my hair downand giving my hair protein overload. I thought the conditioner only would not work on my type 4 hair but it was fantastic. It clumped my coils/curls just as well as a gel but it didn't weigh my hair down and my hair had more movement.

    Never clicked on a video so fast before in my life! lol Yayyy you uploaded an updated curly hair routine vid, I JUST requested one on the video before this! Hmmm my inner product junkie-ism is calling me to the Eden Bodyworks lol. I wonder how it compares to Cantu's coconut curling cream (which I already have)? Btw, how do you feel about strictly finger detangling your hair when doing a wash & go? A lot of naturals here on YT do so, but I feel like I can't thoroughly detangle my hair as well without a wide tooth comb or Denman brush....

    • @EbonysCurlyTV
      @EbonysCurlyTV 8 років тому

      +LaBeLLa MiSSDonna OMG You are too sweet. Really! Thank you for such a sweet comment. But yea, I never finger detangle only because I feel exactly like you do. I need to make sure my roots are all detangled too lol so I always use a wide tooth comb.

    My hair is at my shoulders so it's a lot shorter than yours. Can you please tell me if you think this'll still look good. My hair is a little shorter in the back and my bangs are also so my hair is like a bob. I'm really interested in this because I don't know how to braid and I'm sick of my "friend" ripping on my hair because I flat iron it. I've never relaxed my hair tho and it's a little thin.

    I found out that after eco styler wash n gos its easy to detangle and refresh my curls while I'm in the shower & the product is so thick that i can just finger comb and scrunch and i don't need anything but an oil or a leave in (if that) afterwards. In hindsight, eco styler wash n gos are pretty convenient once you're able to work around the cons lol
