Laws have changed sense my first flight. I sat in the cockpit with the pilots during landing and taking off and in flight. There was no door separating pilots from passengers just a curtain. It was in 1953 and I was three. What a great experience
1. No Listening to Music 2. No Personal Conversations (gf, bf and stuff) 3. No Eating the same food (First Officer and Captain) 4. No Eating at the same time (both FO & Cap.) 5. No Clicking Photos 6. None can be alone in cockpit (2 are must) 7. No Cabin Crew in the cockpit 8. No Sleeping on short flights (can be done but after lot conditions) 9. Cannot fly manually at high altitudes 10. Cockpit door cannot be opened! Thank me later !! 🙂
I work for an airline , pilots can stay alone on the flight deck as per CAA regulations. Also cabin crew ARE allowed on the flight deck jump seat for takeoff / Landing. So there you have it!

first of all HI! i am the same guy who sent you memes on Instagram......amazing video as always..well i think cockpit video is harmless...if we take out history none of the plane crashes happened from making videos in the cockpit ( as far as i know ).....if not video then at least clicking images should be allowed during cruise....In Europe it is allowed.Our aviation watchdog is stricter than most still FAA downgrades us..
Photos should be allowed and and recording landings and takeoffs should also be allowed for the experience of other people to watch as pilot perspective like other countries do. BTW the recording camera can be put on the cockpit nose to record not necessary to take in hand so pilot can fully focus on his/her job.

I feel that the most pointless rules among these is the photography rule and the no cabin crew in the cockpit during take off/landing rule. The latter rule for normal pax or others makes sense, but not for cabin crew. Talking about photography, clicking a pic shouldn't take more than a second and it must be allowed atleast between FL 29 and 41.
The no cabin crew in take off and landings is because that’s the two parts of the flights that the pilots are in control of, and if there is a distraction or the cabin crew member has a problem or interferes… you’re fucked

I agree with DGCA of not allowing photos to be taken in the cockpit. Its best decision for safety and as we say precaution is always first.
