That is so awesome you have that connection and met up with your relatives! I went to South Korea when I was 27 to meet my mom's side of the family having only met them once when I was 5. They were excited as was I to meet and I was treated like a rock star. Haha.
you probably dont care but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend lately xD
How wonderful you had the opportunity to meet more of your family. Looking forward to seeing more. The city is so beautiful and it's amazing they rebuilt it like they did. I remember going to movies as a youngster in the late 50s and early 60's when they would show newsreels from WWIi and all the bombing in Europe. Those images have stayed with me all my life.
we dont care if we knew each other before hand because i went thru this myself just in reverse, i met cousins from america that i never knew i had, it was actually pretty cool. years later i came to the states and still see them here and there at family parties etc.
Amazing Ruth! I have relatives in Norway as my Grandfather immigrated to the US. I have never met them, just have 2 or 3 names. You have inspired me to search!
Family history and genealogy is fascinating and exciting. And, to add to that, you have been able to meeting members of your extended family...WOW. Again, thanks for your posts.
I'm from Canada. I have a lot of aunts, uncles, and cousins in Poland. My family in Poland only speaks Polish so I'm trying to learn the language so that one day I can communicate with them. I've met some of them in July 2019 for the first time in my life and some of them I haven't met yet. My grandmother is originally from Poland but she never taught anything about her culture or native language.
Serdecznie pozdrawiam.
It's always a lift to the spirits in our household when a new "Ruth Vlog" is posted. The excitement coming through meeting your Polish family was heartwarming. Annette said: "I didn't want it to end."

If your grandfather was Polish, it means that you can apply for a Polish passport. I think.
yes! It in the process :D
EU citizenship can be really useful. You should definitely try to get polish citizenship.
