I'm not a magician, but love learning how things are done. For me, knowing how is done and still not seeing the transitions because of how flawlessly is performed is as amazing as seeing a performance for the first time.
Open note: I made a mistake in this video... the first time I saw this effect was actually on David Roth's "Stars of Magic" VHS tape (which was published before the noted "Expert Coin Magic" Series). I posted the correct graphic to match the clip, but my initial viewing of this effect was in the mid 80's at "Classic Magic" in Dothan Alabama ... ah memories :)
Wow! You are so good! I could barely keep up at 9:14 when you had to walk yourself through the trick, even though you just spent the last 9 minutes showing me how it’s done! That’s real Magic right there 😂❤
This has always been one of my all time favorite tricks. It's a simple, but it's got so much charm to it, that you can't help but love it. Thanks Doug!
People are very lucky that you’ve posted this! This routine is one of my favourite magic effects of all time and anyone who chooses to learn it has something amazing up their sleeve!
Oh my gosh!! This is my favorite magic trick!! Its so neat to see how its done! I've been following you since 5K followers. It makes me so happy to see how much your channel has grown! You deserve all the success you achieve! Thank you for always making us smile, while you teach us some magic! 💜
Doug, it is incredible to watch you work! As a long time magic lover watching a true pro share their art while peppering in the history and contributions of others to certain routines puts a huge smile on my face. You’re doing it right my friend. Keep it up!
I learned this effect from Roth's book, then watched Ammar's Shadow Coins, and finally several of Doug's demonstrations. It wasn't until Doug explained the subtlety of rotating the hands, then pulling away slightly so the fingers are over the coins that I fully appreciated what this move accomplishes. Yes, Roth teaches it in his original "Expert Coin Magic" and video, but Doug's explanation made it sink in deeper. Well done, Mr. Conn. Thank you.
A Royal salute to Roth - what smooth skills - what a pioneering talent - Rest in peace, David & thank you, Doug - for your magnificent tutorials, so generous of you, in top-notch hands!
Tnx bud, I felt there was a few students that needed to hear me talk about this effect... *& it was this or an intricate card shuffle reverse (that I'll likely share with members :) So, yeah I chose this for the masses :)
Wow, merci Doug, c’est magnifiquement exécuté. Amazing done, I’m still believe that it’s really magic when you do it, well done and thanks for sharing with us your knowledge !
That is one of the best magic tricks, because of the overall impossibility of what you see. I am probably the worst magician in the world, but will give this one a go definitely. Thanks Doug.
😂😂Yeah, there was a weird effing glitch that I couldn’t figure out in that clip… Reduced my right side audio by 60%… no fix & I was too spent to reshoot It’s always something LOL onto the next one!
@@DougConn sincere and most felt words from a brother street magician - even if I have just started my adventure :) I'd love to meet you and have the chance to learn directly from you.
Amazing as always ! But could you do this trick if you were handcuffed ? Houdini/ sleight of hand, possibly propelling you to greatest of sleight of hand magician of all time ! Thx for vid your really amazing sir ;I’m just saying think about it.
hello my friend. Do you have the tuto - or know where to find it , - fot the one with the shell ( and magic wand ) ? Un grand merci et bonjour de Brussels Europe ! ;-)
I'm currently practicing this, but with the coins on my lap. I can't slide the coins anymore but I can more easily palm them. I've got the basics down and now am trying to make it look smoother.
@@DougConn Complete tangent: Got my final fruit order in the mail today, heartily recommend! Even knowing they are fake, you wanna take a bite out of them they look so good. Nice heft and nice tacky feel.
Honestly this is way too good to give away on youtube. 4k views.. we dont even have that many at conventions. It's not too late.. teach much lesser and beginner stuff at best
One day I’ll have a discussion about how/where/when/why I teach what I do here… Today is not that day I try to teach with respect to the art & guide students towards good learning materials … more… later
Iam so glad that when I went to “google” how to do this…you popped up to teach it!! I have LOVED your stuff since I found you during covid lol. Thanks!
