To start off MerMay, Joshua takes a dive into Atlantica to blog the classic Disney film that began the Disney Renaissance, The Little Mermaid
Maybe in the upcoming live action remake of Disney's the little mermaid they'll make an extended version of "phathoms below" and "daughters of Triton" maybe.
The animation is really good especially underwater, the story is nice despite for few nitpicks, the music and songs are wonderful and catchy to listen to, the characters are great, and Ariel is my favorite Disney princess ever because of her design, personality, and beautiful voice both speaking and singing beautifully by the lovely Jodi Benson.
Overall The Little Mermaid is one of my favorite animated movies from Disney, there are nitpicks but I still enjoy it, so without further ado I give it a solid 4/5.
I really like this movie, even though there were some parts that make me feel dirty (like Ariel's first transformation into human at the end of the Poor Unfortunate Souls musical number) as well as that Part of Your World song making me cry for some reason. But overall, this is a great family film and a great start for the Disney Renaissance Era. I also prefer this over the original darker version by Hans Christian Andersen because this has a happier ending compared to the one in the original fairy tale.
Last year it was the 30th anniversary of the little mermaid
Now that Ariel is human max the dog could be her best friend huh.

I have an idea in order for Walt Disney Pictures in order to take a break from doing live action remakes and the idea is to release a theactrical big budget hand drawn animated film adaptation of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with the directors of Aladdin and the little mermaid John Musker and Ron Clements to direct, music by Alan Menken and Andrew Lloyd Webber while time rice doing lyrics of the songs, And here's my choice list of cast who would be perfect to play the roles in the movie

Jessica Espinoza as Mrs. Potiphar

Other brothers of Joseph should be played by Tom Kenny, Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, and Brian Hull.
