    Left this on his other youtube video a month ago: "just an update...after applying the coating and waiting 4 days for drying, I put my wing away in my stuff bag for transport to the LZ. After 25 minutes in the stuff bag, I found that the solution has left some serious oily residue in my stuff bag. Afterwards, I laid out my wing on a dirt field, and took off. When I landed, I noticed that my wing was COVERED with dirt that stuck to the fabric. You said that it wasn't sticky like Armorall, but i beg to differ. How am I now supposed to get all the crap off my wing? It turned my wing tips, in about 3 feet from the ends, from bright white, to a medium brown. I am happy to take pics of it for you. It might be protected from UV rays, and might extend the life of my wing, but it's now dirty as hell. Just like a new set of tires that were Armorall'd, and then drove on a dirt road. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but this is the truth of the matter and dirt is just as harmful to my very expensive wing, as UV rays are, and I am unhappy.
    "
    Update as of today: "My wing is still dirty as hell. I am going to have to wash it to get all that crap off of it. It's Armor all, and just like Armor all, It left a greasy residue. All you have to do is coat your white and orange wing with it, and presto! It's brown! Lucky me. maybe you should market it as a color changer instead. One last thing...Yesterday, I tried flying in a light rain, thinking it might return some of the original whiteness of the material. my wing absorbed the water, just like it did before I applied this "product." So far, it's had nothing but negative impacts to my wing." Don't do it.

    Well a few indicators would be an unusually slick feel on a glider that is really old. The other thing you can do is simply email us with the sellers name and we can cross reference it to see if he/she has purchased our product in the past.

    Hi there,
    I found this video quite late.
    Just wondering if this product is still being produced? If so, where can it be purchased?
    Thanks

    Hi! Is there a way to detect whether a glider has been treated with products like that. So that newbies like me, who want to purchase their very first glider, don't get fooled by the bright and crisp look of a glider with weak and thoroughly used fabric. Thank you.

    Do You have old porosity meter to sell???

      No I do not. you can find them for sale by looking for "Skywatch MK1 Porosimeter" online

    The material takes on a very silicone like feel after it has been treated. Very smooth and like new. Even if the paraglider has been treated it should be safe to fly- keep in mind that I have been in this business for many MANY years and havent seen a glider (even an extremely old one) just fall apart while flying due to age of the fabric.

    I'm interested in this. How does it hold up to dirt? One issue with AP103 is that it attracts dust and dirt too quickly that the weaknesses that the dirt causes outweighs the protection. Do you suggest just putting this on the inside only? Also how well does it work with Skytex? You mentioned some materials but I didn't see that one.

    • @BlueSkyPPGdotcom
      @BlueSkyPPGdotcom  7 років тому +1

      Im not sure what AP103 is- if the glider is dirty this product will seal it in unfortunately, however the opposite is true, if its clean it will seal out the dirt.It should be applied to the top surface of the wing. Applying it internally will defeat the purpose; the coating is on the inside and will merely flake off removing any trace of ParaShield. It is designed for Skytex and gelvenor but also works great with Dominico and F11 ripstop.

      @@BlueSkyPPGdotcomdoes this work on ZP nylon used in skydiving canopies? Would it hurt the factory coating on the stock ZP Nylon from say, a Performance Designs parachute? How about different fabrics from Porcher? Is there a data sheet for this?

    Probably Works similarly like Armor All, this Product will Keep Vinyl and Plastic looking new and Last Much Longer, have used it work years and will Continue to use it.....

      @BlueSkyPPGdotcom  6 років тому

      Funny enough its made for us by the company who makes Armor all- however the ParaShield product is made specifically for our sport. Armor all has similar qualities except the adherence to the nylon fabric and UV protection.

      A woo recomendou voar em fim de tarde por mais uns 50 vôos
      O tecido testado resistência passou em 600/800 gramas , e meu reserva mandei na baiúca , também passou nos testes , obtive laudo para 180 dias ,
      Pensei em dar um grau na vela
      Oque pode me dizer sobre isso tudo , conhece alguém aqui do Brasil que tenha usado ?
      Eu farei um porisimetro amanhã para testar um impermeabilizante a base de PVA ,ele é neutro ,nem alcalino nem ácido , usina anos em guarda-chuva e barraca de camping
