Another way to look at this is SunJoe makes a product that is very affordable for many people who aren't consumed with having the best pressure washer ever made in the entire universe since they don't make their living using it as their main tool. I think it's safe to say that many products are like this. Manufacturers seek out their market and try to fulfill a need while competing with other manufacturers who are doing the same thing. Your Krantzle washer just might be the ultimate for somebody is the business but it really wouldn't make sense for Joe Homeowner, who simply wants to wash his car or deck every now and then to spend $1500 or more on something that will get the job done nicely for under $200. He expects the $200 product to last a few years and if it breaks, no big deal because he got his money's worth. As a businessman, I'm sure you understand this so it is confusing why you pick on these cheaper products. You can see many videos on youtube where end users are thrilled with their SunJoe, Ryobi or Greenworks washers. I'm imagining some other person who loves Mercedes-Benz or BMW cars ripping Hyundais or Mazdas because their 0-60 mph time is .7 seconds slower or their stopping distance from 100-0 mph takes an extra 12 feet. I'd start to wonder about a guy like that if he took an axe to the cheaper cars, wouldn't you? What might be more normal and more sane would be for that person to let the viewer know that "for the money", these Hyundais and Mazdas are really great cars and although they may not be in the same class as the BMW or Mercedes, they get the job they were designed to do done quite nicely and they are affordable for many people. Hey...just a suggestion. If you want to beat up on SunJoe, feel free. I bought one myself a few years ago and have been using it without any problems. It cleans my cement, my fences, my cars and many other things and does a great job. For the money, I would say SunJoe is a great product and does exactly what it is supposed to do without any problems at all. Take care and keep that axe sharp!!
The SunJoe was least favorite of all of the pressure washers I tested. When you buy 75% of the pressure washers on the market, test them all, and figure out how to improve them, then you are allowed to say whatever you want. This is my experience with them based on quite a bit of facts.
This is a GREAT series Matt! Thank you again for taking all the painful hours to go through this 😉 I've watched every minute of all the videos, and thankful that I did because I changed my mind on getting a Sunjoe 3001 and ended up buying a Karcher 1700 off Amazon for cheaper than the SJ and am really happy with it after the first few washes! Granted I have the OG gun/wand/3.0 nozzles/cobrajet hose with all the SS fittings, so I've spent about double modifying the Karcher as I actually spent on the machine itself, but it all works well for around $400 total invested.
I disassembled a Cessna 172 and a LearJet 35 and found the Cessna 172 to be very inferior to the LearJet. In other words, not that this guy is a lunatic but, you just can't compare an inexpensive consumer product to an expensive product made for professionals. Why would you do that? I get the fact that he gets paid by "youtube" for successful highly watched videos but this is really out there. The one saving factor is he's always entertaining in that he holds nothing back. The man is dead serious when it comes to pressure washers. That's a fact, Jack!
@@ObsessedGarage what brand of electric pressure washer would you recommend? I have the sun Joe and I too have come to have intense hatred for this heap of crap.
Roy I 3 yr warranty, sun joe 2, AR1. I found a son joe on the side of the road and it has done great for the past four years finally took a crap on me. There was a craftsman unit that my great uncle gave me baby used twice it died during the third job just cleaning a deck. Although the craftsman looked a lot like the sun Joe I did not completely tear them both apart, the sun Joe outlasted every one I’ve had including gas powered so I think I might try them again even the Ryobi have the highest ratings and reviews I never thought much of any Ryobi product other than possibly a pressure washer. I know for a fact I do not want to be pulling in pulling in pulling while holding the trigger only to have it die once I get up the ladder, at least these electric ones work when you start them up. My biggest lesson is that you want to purge hoses completely not only of air bubbles but of debris including but not limited to dirt Dobbers and nests, wait until the water runs clear! I’m pretty sure this contributed to my unit demise. Thanks for the videos, cheers!
The lifts work well as a bench. You need a thick rubber mat to place on top. Help keep things in place and not scratch paint. Cut down cattle mat would work. Make a plywood platform with cleats to hold in place, mount rubber to it.
Wow! I would have never thought that the bigger pressure washer had a bigger pump than the smaller pressure washer! And that the bigger pump even weighed more!!! Fucking mind blowing!!!!
It's absolutely fantastic that you are eating the cost of these things in order to do this; it's incredibly valuable information for us "obsessed" type people. -- Since you always use your lift as a workbench for videos due to it's convenient location for camera angles, why not get some kind of tabletop made for the lift that you can add and remove when you need to use it for these type of video? It would be considerably more convenient than trying to just use the lift pad space and it would still allow you to put the camera where you need it.
My Sunjoe SPX3200 had a plastic fitting that cracked, that housed what appears to be a spring backed electric valve/actuator (the black thing going into the plastic tan fitting). It cracked right where the spring sits. For what purpose I have no idea. Perhaps to reduce the pressure in the main jet. But it pisses out water. So I’m looking for a replacement fitting or set screw to go in its place. But I can’t find the thread size. Appears to be 1/2-14 NPT but can’t be sure… Any chance that fitting is still intact in yours? 😂
@@ObsessedGarage No worries. I figured this thing actuated the lower pressure circuit. So I’m going to try plugging the fitting with a rubber stopper and if that doesn’t work, filling it with epoxy, and reinstalling it.
