    Sir when the value of ( n and k) is not given..and only codes are givenn.. to generte parity matrix so what value should be taken..of n and k...?

    5:38 is that multiplication or xor operation or we are doing multiplication at first and instead of adding it we are using xor totally confusing .

      Divide the generator matrix as I : P by drawing an imaginary line. The right side of the line will be parity matrix

      I'm fairly sure I'm right here, not taking away from the video it's a great explanation and has helped me a lot but (and I've to correct myself here too) .
      The final example, 2^3=8 codewords to be found..
      c0 = 000000
      c1 = 001110
      c2 = 010011
      c3 = 011101
      c4 = 100101
      c5 = 101011
      c6 = 110110
      c7 = 111000

    Where did the matrix P come from? My professor said we will have to create our own P on a test, how do you do that?
