Awesome. The science behind the conservation is as interesting as the artifacts themselves. Many thanks to all the archaeologists and conservators who work so hard to preserve our history.
Oh man, oh man. Is this great or WHAT?!!!!! Love this segments!!! I use to think history was dull. I LOVE this!! Also, love the Welsh mask! Cymru am Beth!!!
Amazing! Makes me think of the patience that it takes to preserve something so fragile and precious. I visited while stationed in Hampton years ago. Hope to get back one day to see that pistol. Many thanks to the folks who have given their time and energy to preserving our history and heritage so we can see the real thing on display.
Preservation as found I understand. But the stock is out of alignment. The barrel didn't need that huge gob of glue under barrel. That's where the barrel was supposed to fit and the rust mass pushed it up out of alignment. I would have had it on display fitted back into its form as it would have been before finding itself down that well.

Great mask, greetings from South Wales 🏴

Great work! Btw, noticed your Welsh facemask, the mighty red dragon!
Great restoration, THANKS
The Vasa and Mary Rose were sprayed with PEG for decades, but they’re a lot bigger than a pistol…
Thank you so much for sharing this process with all of us! It's genuinely fascinating. Great work!
Like your mask Doctor, Really proud to be Welsh.

I love it, part 4 of a 3 part series. Fantastic
I was wondering about that!
What was the caliber of the barrel?

Excellent work, I would love to see a replica made
My dude looks like he could be an Owen brother.
Your presentations are always fascinating. There’s so much more to conserving our history then I ever realized. Thank you for all your hard work. Mary
