Seems like you lot are really keen for this to become a series! Thanks for all the support, I will be making this a more regular thing going forward. Lots of superb racing titles to get through!😊
When you drive stickshift you lose drive as you're pressing the clutch, but you're not actually decelerating....I shift that way when I have a slow down and find it reduces to zero without having to back off speedwise, I just accelerate slower, I don't decelerate, but the slow-down still goes away, so I reduce speed loss
I love raceroom just wished more people played it consistently, iRacing is going to be king until someone steps up. For now I’m okay with iRacing especially since the adding of the “F4”
True. When you leave rookies in RaceRoom the game kinda stalls because the other classes have far rarer races. But that's not the issue, the big issues, as you mentioned, is the playerbase being too small
Yeah, NA peak hours hurt. I was only able to enjoy it as long as I did when I played because I works 3 days a week, 12 HR shifts. That left me 2 weekdays to participate on the Euro servers.
Fantastic film > enjoyed watching thank you, really similar to my own Race room experience + I'm new to SIM racing and have AC + ACC and RF2 but Race Room is where I feel at home and where I decided to put my cash having got all the DLC when on offer recently and I'm able to enjoy race room on a hardware budget I have a Dell Optiplex old office machine with a i5 + a 1050ti and 16GB RAM and a £30 Facebook market place Thrustmaster force feedback wheel and I'm running with graphics turned up on a 27" screen, it's a really good place Race Room not just to start out but it's for me the all to often unsung hero of Sim racing so thanks for giving Race Room a really nice intro for others > just need the player base to build.
Really glad you are enjoying it! We agree, it’s a superb place to go and do simple, straight forward sim racing with minimum fuss. Under-rated in my opinion! Best of luck with your own racing.
I just started playing R3E last weekend. I've got a TMX wheelbase and I'm floored by how good the FFB is in the game. Even on my potato laptop on low settings. Might not even need a DD at this point to be faster than I am in any other game. The AI is amazing and I convinced myself that the Starter Pack is going to be worth my money (I *love* driving at least 70% of the cars in there). Raceroom Raceway is an outstanding track. I can't believe how much fun it is to drive. The off-camber corners are sooooo good. I'm going to definitely going to try the MP this weekend and see how good it goes for me.
Hey @tarushdei, I'm here just to say that a DD wheel will not make faster lap times. It will at most make you more consistent ( make less mistakes). And for a DD you also need a good base for the wheel, more investment. So maybe you will find better ways to spend money like buy more cars and tracks that you like 😉
I was obsessed with raceroom multiplayer for a while, and you can get some great races. The problem I had was there just isn't a large enough population to have regular large lobbies outside of European time or enough people to make rankings truly meaningful. Also, instead of have one large sign up and breaking it into splits based on rank when they do have enough for multiple lobbies, you just get two or more random lobbies, making ranking superfluous. Also as an American, I can't participate in the major broadcast events, because I have to work on Wednesdays. Missing the broadcast Bathurst 100 because I couldn't get off work with the late notice took the wind out of my Raceroom multiplayer motivation. I think Raceroom is still my favorite Sim to jump on and do leaderboards, even if they are sparsely populated. Plus my favorite driving experience. I cameon after they redid the FFB.
@@cg-keuka it wasn't major. My meaning was a major event for Raceroom. It was ranked racing broadcast officially by RaceRoom on youtube with actual commentating. I believe they are still doing it. Something fun to participate in, and even watch later. Something cool to share with friends.
Great video! Just bought all raceroom content a week ago and need to say that after i tried raceroom and got back to acc, i like raceroom ffb more, of course tried the different class cars on raceroom but acc ffb feels like on the ice after it and like you have plastic tires and on raceroom like rubber tires:)
Currently doing a touring car league on this sim, I like that you can door rub without it spitting everyone off (look at you PC2) VR performance however is pretty poor as I believe it's heavily CPU bound being old and single threaded, so for me it doesn't look as good as it feels especially for the relatively high end hardware chucked at it, soon stop caring after your in racing though, force feedback is good, car feel is good, close racing is extremely fun without huge consequences, to think I've had this sim since something like 2014 I think and never played it until now.
I'm a big fan of Assetto Corsa. The pain problem is that as a beginner, it's almost impossible to particapate in an online race due to the low exp points. And it takes far to long to gain enough points to finally join a real big multiplayer race. Just one small mistake, and you will loose your exp point (i don't know the right name), making at again not being able to join. I hope this game will takes thing a littlebit more easy with beginners.
Funny he filmed this today for me but because they are ahead time wise. So when he said that I got a lil confused for like a hot second cuz it shows 1 Day ago on my youtube.
What is the player count like? I remember ages ago after Simraceway shut down, I tried RaceRoom (this was like 2016-ish). The racing was fun, but the servers weren't that populated. Has it improved?
As someone who's just getting into sim racing, would you reccomend this over ACC? The only thing I wish I would have access to which ACC doesn't is a variety of car classes. I feel like as a beginner I would benefit more from first using slower cars
ACC does have the M2 Cup car and GT4's, but nowhere near the variety you are right. RaceRoom is a superb place to start in my opinion, then if you are enjoying it you can always try out some other things down the line🙂 Welcome to sim racing!
Unfortunately raceroom suffers from iracing, people see raceroom player base and insta changes their feeling for the game, making them migrate to iracing with big player base
i never understood the gloves , the reason Race drivers ware gloves is mostly for protection , as you see them exiting the car you will see they have a suite not only gloves and halmets . Why would a racing driver ware something that will make him see less and put a strain on his breathing and neck in G forces as well as comfort lowered . Why . SAFTY , that is why they ware gloves and if its rally they use it for grip but they turn wheels that have no power steering , and do it very fast for very long time , they need it . Taking a PC wheel and putting gloves on is like taking a game pad and putting gloves on , its just stupid , annoyingly stupid because you gain nothing with it , you lose sensitivity if anything and look dumb , my mom has garden gloves better then those , but no i wont ware them , nor will i ware a suit and helmet because this a game , its not a simulation , Sim Racing , that does not exist . Those are all arcade games , not a single one reacts or feels like a real car .Oh they told you racing drivers use them , yes they do , and without gloves . The irony , but they use it under contract , they have to , makes them money . But it doesnt say they have to ware gloves and helmets so they dont .

Their current schedule, with the number of players they have its just too big.
Plus they're using the same 3-4 tracks over and over again.

Raceroom is fantastic. You can get plenty of racing In with just the $10 starter pack. I just wish it was more populated during NA peak hours.

Id love a series of multiplayer sim games. Thats my main focus and Im struggling to find good racing outside of iRacing. Great video!
Eyes emoji! We're hearing a lot of people say this too, might just have to make it into a series
Let’s go RaceRoom! Love this Sim! More RR please!
Raceroom is by far my favorite for driving experience I wish their were a few more ranked races like iracing though
Nice, informative video, keen to get into raceroom once i add a pc to the setup
I love this series, showing the multiplayer of different sims, we have good sims with low players base unfortunately
keep up the great work
Thanks, glad you are enjoying them!
Please make it a series!!
Leaderboard challenge shows you the other players ghost, a unique and fantastic feature.
Superb,, Bathurst is my favorite track ,, Would like to see you race on that 🙂

good work, keep it up! and it would be great if you can try lfm next time.
Can you do a video that fully explains how FR2 and LFM races work. Thanks
Not sure about video but we're looking to make an article on our website about it.
you want abs on and other stuff that the car has. Most cars now a days and track cars have some short of traction control. leave them on

I have 800h in Asetto. Raceroom psyhics, feeling, handling is way better.
How is it that there were only 30 people online spread between 6 servers on the whole game but on your races you had 20?
Make it a series please!
3 episodes in total so far and more to come! Glad you enjoyed 😊
can you use a controller ? I don't have a wheel and want to just do single player races to learn sims
Are you(the group) finding the Race Room take a long time to load. I know there is a lot of content, but is it just my connection. Thanks
This game generally has quite long loading times. But connection issues can make them even longer, too.
which headset are you using ?
I can't turn right in this game. Is it just because I'm using my keyboard?
Great vid Ty
You're welcome! Thank you for watching
this was great!
Can we change camera angle
The game does not open, I uninstalled and installed three times and it gives error... That's after I put some money into it.
Fix the error!
Is the M2 dlc?
Make it a series!
can we play private match with friends??
too bad it doesnt have true endurance with day/night cycle...that is my only game mode for racing
Can I play it with my friends?
Yes absolutely! You just need to join the same server. :)
great game, great review
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching
is this better than forza motorsport8?
does it get mods
try old school LFS good sim
