Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 січ 2025
- This week, we’re exploring some of Scotland's most iconic spots, including Glencoe and Loch Lomond 🏴. We’re also sharing some of the challenges of living full-time in a lorry with our three kids, like the worry that someone might be following us after we notice some suspicious behaviour...
It's not always easy, but we wouldn't change it for the world 🌍

I enjoy your videos. If I would have known you can live in a truck with my family I would have done it 50 years ago. Now retired, old , and simi crippled I just have to enjoy my retirement through your eyes.. thank you.. you have a beautiful family ❤️
Absolutely amazing video 📹 👏 ❤️. Spectacular views. Thanks for sharing. Stay blessed and connected 🙏
Last time I went off coffee, a lovely gift arrived 9 months later 😂
I was thinking the same thing
Ha ha I was thinking he very same thing🤫😉
I haven't got the equipment for that but I still go off coffee.
I thought the same! Baby no 4?
Ditto…. Was thinking that myself 😧😊
Just a idea you should put cctv on the outside of the truck ( just like the buses do now ) then this way it any thing happen night or you to check outside you can look on your mobiles helpful at night times you will not need to go outside or look out of window just a little idea as you say you are on youtube so you will be spotted you can pick them up really cheap now a days also it will Rec so that more backup
How much power do they draw?
@@alanhat5252 Not really sure but I do not think it would be that much power my area all the local buses have them on the outside also I have saw other camper vans with them as well its a good way to check what happening live outside by mobile or table app (without going outside) also 24h Rec
The Urban Motorhome channel uses wireless /self adhesive ones powered via small rechargeable batteries. The data is saved either remotely cloud or hardrive, I believe!😊😊
@adrianmichell-z6o yes something like also most will run on a sim card as well also Sd card to Rec on a truck best to have two one of both sides and put in the middle if you get a drome one you can move it on your app of you can have it set on if someone in the truck zone it will follow them /zoom in
😮
This is stunning...
I live 15 mins walk from The 3 Sisters, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia... and they, and the scenery around them is just as beautiful..❤
Oohh how beautiful!
Loving spending time with your family. Glad I found you 🤗
Yay! Thank you!
Amazing to see a family living the dream life in the UK. Keep it coming
Thanks Debbie, glad you are enjoying watching
I saw a video a while back of 3 cyclists enjoying the solitude of the Highlands, when they came across the King out for a stroll. All on his own, with his stick and doing exactly the same thing. Not sure there are many places left in the world where the reigning sovereign stops for a chat with a few passers by in the middle of nowhere, but i think that it perfectly sums up the Scottish Highlands. Beautiful, peaceful and a natural environment where we are all equal.
All on his own with his security detail!! They are discreet though, we had a similar meeting a few years ago and he was very charming.
Many years ago a group of us walked The West Highland Way for charity.we had full packs and it took up 5/12 days.sleeping in youth hostels. We were all over 40 years old. Watching this video brought back so many memories. I’m now a 75 year old woman.Thank You for showing off my stunning homeland.❤
I ❤️U guy’s. I always look forward to seeing your next episode. I’m ready looking forward to the Portugal 🇵🇹 trip. I was there in 2019 on holiday with my two daughters. We loved it. Scotland 🏴 is absolutely beautiful. Shush Rick. I hope kiras not listening 🙉. I think a new build would be great. Love to all ❤️
Philip in Ireland ☘️🇮🇪👍
A little hack to help with condensation on your windows - when you wipe them down in the morning put a couple of drops of dish liquid (not too much) on your cloth. They will look a little soapy at first but will dry clear. We’ve been doing this for years in our rv’s. I learned this from my sister who used to spend a lot of time in their cabin cruiser along the coast of Newfoundland.
Waves hello from New Zealand, when you coming down under? Then you will see beautiful scenery.😊 And like you enjoy the solitude in Nature , nowadays more and more people explore NZ thanks to Y.T. I guess!!
We will share 😊
Great video guys ❤ Scotland is a place that we'd love to visit in the Boat Car. But we'll be heading back to the continent. We'll definitely be following you guys for inspiration ❤
Love you all. Be safe. Your videos are fantastic. Your children are rather well behaved. Good on you. I am in America in Tennessee. Blessings and love to you.
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed them 😀
Aye, that's the Highlands for ye; misty, moist and mild. With a glowering threat of worse to come! I've been through Glen Coe many times and only once have I seen it under clear blue skies and bathed in sunshine! I was heading south, an it was stunning. For once I was a passenger, so didn't have to keep my eyes glued to the road. Best views ever. You guys are brilliant; stay free, stay happy. Fowk like you are always welcome in Scotland.
I work with West highland way walkers in Glen Coe in the summer and one day between runs I was parked where you were and one day someone parked so close I couldn’t get out my vehicle yet the car park was nearly empty 🤦♀️. No logic, nothing as strange as folk 😂. Great video
You’ll be glad to know that landscape of Scotland which you’re enjoying, help us Scot’s to drive the Romans back south many times, the Romans were so terrified they built Hadrians wall to protect themselves 😎
Liked again
Also offer still stands about fitting you a diesel heater!!!
Brilliant as always.... " I dislike people " made me chuckle !!
Great timeing very funny
He's certainly a character!
In scotland, we call that weather - dreich. l remember the weather report said it many times, to perfectly describe the day.
Brilliant vlog guys 👍🏻
Thank you 😀
Oh, you're in such a beautiful place. Enjoy. I just noticed Rosie had her lead attached to her collar in her car seat traveling position, just a thought would a harness be better and the lead attach to that in the centre of her body, because if you have to break quickly it'll wrench her neck.
Have a lovely time in scotland 😊X
She usually wears a harness in the front, but on this occasion it was soaked through from her walk. We know it's best for her to wear one x
@Touringwiththekids Brilliant,it just caught my eye ,take care all of you 😘
Don't you have an extraction fan in the bathroom? That would help with condensation as well as a small dehumidifier. Might be worth getting a jackery or other power bank to run small appliances so as not to drain your main battery system.
Extractor fans, even tiny computer fans, dump an amazing amount of heat outside 😢
❤Welcome to our homeland.x
Record those idiots make sure you get their registration, Just incase those idiots start anything.❤
Thanks!
Love your video. Your children are a delight. Your home on wheels is just perfect. See you next week.
Thankyou so much Barbara
Thanks
Thankyou so much, you're a star!
Anne & Les watching from Lisburn N.ireland ( six on a bus) doing the darkness bus conversion. Other channel we watch

Great vlog again guys some lovely scenery up there in bony Scotland great viewing so until the next vlog take care the gowerz Portsmouth xx ❤❤
Thanks guys 😊❤️
Great video. We loved Glencoe was there in November and loved the turf house. If you’d gone half a mile towards tarbet. There’s a small converted church (Slanj) where you can park overnight if you have a coffee/breakfast etc! Enjoy the rest of your travels x
Thanks guys 🎉as always informed adventures of your family living the dream.
Loved your vlog brings back so many forgotten memories of holidays as a child with my mum & dad long gone now I’m 66 but we did all these places in a Morris 1000 and a tent. Dog too. Mum wouldn’t sleep in a tent so she made a bed up in the car. Love following your adventure. Stay safe.
That's awesome. Thank you for following along
Nixe adventure! Prob a very old road but the romans only got as far as Hadrians wall!
Brilliant video, I'm a class 1 tanker driver and regularly do a run to Skye and travel a82 through Glencoe and you are right it gets mighty tight in places glad you enjoyed it
As a scotsman that appreciates my beautiful country and I appreciate visitors: but we have a saying : look after Scotland and it will look after you : Please Please when in Glencoe you told us you left your lorry running while exploring :for obvious reasons please refrain from doing this
Love seeing your videos of places you go. My mom’s family are all from Scotland, Rollo from Cowdenbeath and my understanding are from the highlands. See your trip to the highlands the scenery even in the rain/fog are so amazing. You are really quite lucky to be able to have the chance to roam where you may. I am living in the states and you views are nothing like here along with the history.
Thanks for watching from the states 🇺🇸 glad to show you a bit of the highlands, and like you say even in the poor weather still absolutely stunning xx
to dry wellies and shoes, stuff them overnight with loosely crumpled newspapers, That's how they were dried over 80 years ago in a cold Scottish house with only one heat source that was NOT central heating!
And if still wet put feet in couple of (unused) dog poo bags
How well i remember Glecoe from my visit back in 1977.. i still dream about it every now and then.. very memorable.. from NZ.
Only just found you guys on UA-cam and am now subscribed to your channel.
Me too!
Did a cruise of Loch Lomond in the Maid of the Mist waaaaay back when I was 10 with my school then went on to do Loch Katrine on the Sir Walter Scott What a great trip
great video, look forward to see how far you've got before the weather changed to cold and snow in the north.
The old drovers road from Victoria Bridge over rannoch moor, my favourite path
Great video as ever. Looks great there, would like to go to those sorts places one day. I’ve only ever been to Aberdeen. ❤
If you buy a coach, you can put a slide out or slide outs into it to increase your living space when parked up.
Happy travels thanks for sharing
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching 😊
Enjoy watching your journey & enjoy watching you guys, awesome vlog guys 🌹❣️ xx
Thanks so much! 😊
The way you and the kids are travelling is amazing. the kids are learning all the time and as a long time watcher it is great to see them develope . Loved your loch lomond segment my wife and I have visited the area many times as campers but this year we will have our first trip in our campervan so we will try and emulate your adventures. The main difference is that we are both in our late 60's . But you are only as old as you feel so we will wrap up for walks and enjoy all the gorgeous scenery. Love your pup .
keep trucking and good luck to you all.
Another interesting video. Thanks CB x
YESSSS NEW PROJECT 😂😂😀😀😀😀😀 no use what a midi coach is but do it 😛😛
Gorgeous in Loch Lomand, enjoyed the video ❤
I was brought up travelling in a midi coach during the eighties! Best times of my life back then! Do it for the kids, they would love the space! On the subject of cold, my mum took a hot water bottle to Australia🤦🤣
That's amazing, and bless your mum! Got to keep warm x
A boot dryer is amazing, depending on your power at the time. But for winter they are great!
If you have room I'd recomend a desicant dehumidifier. I have a meaco one. Its not as big as a compressor unit and uses less power. I plug it in and run it wilst I'm driving and have power available. Great at getting humidity sub 45% which dries clothes, bedding etc pretty quickly. Cost a couple of hundred quid but well worth it in my opinion
Suggest you buy or use some old plastic containers with a lid and put some holes in them. Add some non-clumping cat litter.
Place the containers around your 'home ' under the bed, in closets and hopefully these will do the trick. I did this when I lived in Scotland and also where I lived in Costa Rica. Worked great!!!
Just saw that you are in Tarbert near where I used to live.
Yes, absorbs the moisture. Great tip.
Get a de-humidifier that will erase all the condensation you get ,save you from wiping all the windows down , you will probably end up taking 1-2 litres of water a night out of the air.
I did some research on buying a midi coach. Japanese Car Trader has many, Toyota Rosa's etc. You'd need to import it, but I still found the choice, low-mileage vehicles, to be my best option, even with the duty and transportation costs.
i prefer a bus /Coach. Because when the weather is really bad. You do not have to leave the bus like you have to do in a lorry. But thats me :)
Many people have a door through to the cab
@@alanhat5252 We are not talking about other people.
My favourite family I did a loch lomand cruise a few years ago it was beautiful but it was November and the weather was rough lol😅
Ohhh yeah I can imagine!
Could you get a crash proof harness for Rosie - worse case the leash or her neck could break. My dog has one from Kurgo but it is important any harness is crash tested. Great video again, I was going to do Scotland but got sidetracked and went to Ireland instead,
Great video thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you so much guys and happy new year 🎉 see you soon ❤
Thanks Susie x
feel free any time to go ask anyone doing that what they are up to to keep u safe great vlog chridtmas day i was on duty luckily no call outs happy new year
Greetings from the states. I'm going to bring you some sunshine, seems to always be cloudy and raining there. I'll be in Europe in November and you have some sun coming. Nice video and beautiful family. Safe travels. Ps; u have a new subscriber.
Great area to explore, thanks for sharing!
Hi guys, its been years since I was last in Glencoe, in fact late 1987 when I went there on adventurace training in the military, we stayed at a small hut owned by the military, don't even know if it still exists. Last week I think Kerra mentioned how to purchase one of your stickers, I'd love to, so I can add it to my sticker wall in my caravan, have fun and safe travels, Neil
Thanks Neil, great memory there! ✋ For stickers - Send £3 over Paypal, making sure to add your full name and address (UK Only) - www.paypal.com/paypalme/touringwiththekids
@Touringwiththekids sent funds and address, many thanks
We have a 10.60 meter coach and we like it very much
Glad you guys made it through the narrow roads south of Glencoe. I'm down near Avignon heading to Monaco with the big blue school bus, definitely time to find some warmer weather!
Absolutely ☀️ find that sunshine!
Try Ayrshire it's a lovely coastline home of Robert Burns
I'm fascinated with the Scottish Highlands. It looks beautiful.
If you did a midi coach conversion, you can put your bed in the back and then bunk beds for the kids. Would you have more room or less? Kids are getting older and you will need more room. You could even put a wood stove in it, so many floor plans.
I'm not sure it would give us that much more living space, but it would give us more storage space which would be beneficial
Just an Idea guys, get some shower rails and put them up in the cab to hang up your wet clothes and coats and leave the night heater on overnight. It should dry everything out. Leave the wellies on the dash or in the footwell of the truck too and they should dry out pretty good.
Our heater doesn't work in the cab, otherwise this would be a great idea!
Speaking of ventilation, you have to do the same with a house to prevent condensation and mould.... and heating ... give it a wee boost 🤭😁
I found your channel about 4 days ago and have been binge watching your videos from the very first video. I am still only up to 7 months ago, but I will get there, lol. You have a lovely life and family. Greetings from Cheshire.
your a lovely family really enjoy watching your adventures happy travels xx
Thanks so much! 😊
Dehumidifiers are great to dry clothes and heat the place up, if you have room.
Rich check out the american 5th wheeler entry steps. Spring assisted and just fold up.
Yrs, Yes, Yes, def a mini coach, I thought this months ago that a small coach would be a better option for your beautiful family....Go Rich...Sorry Keira..❤
😂😂
🎉🎉🤗🤗💕💕🇿🇦🇿🇦📽👍... we also got a Glencoe in South Africa!!
And it's near Dundee which is a city in Scotland too. 😊 Hello SA from Scotland. ❤
@isking1715 Yes, I'm staying in Dundee🤗🤗
So jealous, that your there, I absolutely love it there
It's so good!
Great video guys thanks again for sharing your journey with us. Can't wait to watch rick do his bus build 😅
Haha thankyou x
@Touringwiththekids safe journey guys x
Great video. The romans didn’t build the west highland way, Conception by Glaswegian Tom Hunter developed from 1974 🫶🏻🩵🏴
Love your videos❤greeting from Brisbane Australia ❤
That’s so cool, hello to you in Australia 🇦🇺
Ole lovely Fam and beautiful Rosie 💚💚💚.... have you considered a compact (counter top size) de-humidifier...they can run on low electrical current and can pull a litre or so capacity of moisture out of the air. This will make your heating more effective as well with less moisture in the air. 🔥🔥🔥 x
Hello fam worth a look at me aco arete 12 litre de hu mid ifier only 3p / hr to run per hr and has a hepa filter also. Aliah 🌷🌷🌷
I live 60km from Glencoe..... South Africa. A lot warmer right now, being summer here at the moment.
Drove through glennco with my departed partner on a motorbike many times absolutely Bonnie ( beautiful) place 👊🏻👌😍🙏🏻🤘🏻🤗✌🏻🥰👍🏻👋🏻🫶🏻
Beautiful Scotland
The Scottish Highlands are beautiful! What an adventure!
We loved it 🥰
if you go to Cornwall, top tip. When you ask a local can i get down there in my lorry and they say the dustman go down there. The dustman is in a transit van lol. Just tell them can a double decker bus get down there as they understand this. Don't ask how i know lol
26:08 We stayed in exactly the same place as you 2 years ago, pre the camping bays. We were pitched just the other side of those fir trees behind your lorry. There were 22 motor homes parked up along side us that night. Some locals were Not happy and at midnight, pounded on every van and at 12:30 & 12:45 drove down blaring their horn. It worked 😅 Needless to say, we will Never overnight there again 😁👍
That’s such a shame, behaviour like that spoils it so much
❤😊Hello to Keira &Ric,it's Jane from Ottawa Ontario 🇨🇦Canada,Ben &Zoe Sullivan,they have a you Tube Channel &live in 🏴Scotland Burghead 😊❤ they're a great community family !
Hey guys, am glad the stalker thing turned out ok as I was worried for a while. Its been years since I drove up the A82 past Glencoe but it's the most amazing place - reminds me of the Braveheart movie alot! Great start to 2025 so long may the good times roll 🙂
It's one of the best driving roads in the UK for sure. There's a Braveheart village is just south of Fort William. Pretty sure it's where they filmed part of it 👍
@@Touringwiththekids Ah I never saw that so will have to do some research once I do my van build. Thanks for the message and take care all 🙂
Hey , luxury coach will have full air-con.. make a fabulous motor-bungalow… 😊
Air con would be lush!
@@Touringwiththekids It's on now as it's 39C today and 41C tomorrow :)
Thanks for the two parkups.
No problem
Just found you have been binging you.caught up you went through many towns to where my mum and dad took me.i look forward to your trip through Scotland.
I am always chilly as well so I understand Keira's pain. lol
Thankyou!!! Don't like feeling the cold 🥶
Defo very very strange Love the school bus ps love you guys as well You could do with some CCTV around the van
😊 ❤ lovely video with beautiful ❤views ❤.
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Guy's,
Loving the trip so far.
Looks like someone's edging towards a midi coach conversion 😮.
Maybe the white audi was a subscriber who just wanted to say hello 🤞.
Do you have a reversing camera? If not we have one on our van, it's wireless and simple to install no hard wiring, its called autovox from amazon.
We are hopefully touring west Scotland ourselves later this year 😊
Take care and keep travelling safe.
Paul and Joanne 👍 ❤️.
Hope the wellies dried out 😅
Cctv needed guys .. excellent video 👍👍
We've thought about it. Any recommendations?
@@Touringwiththekids no sorry .we are still looking for our van build .
