What makes the final gundown of the Nazis so satisfying for me is a mythbusters episode proved that the whole contraption and shoot down is 100% possible
lemme just explain another bit of symbolism. The final episode called Felina because it is the name of the Dean Martin song that plays in the car journey. In the song the character is in love and kills someone, forcing him to run away. Eventually it gets too much and he returns, only to be killed shortly after seeing his love a final time. This is massive foreshadow which I love and noticed as I am a huge Dean Martin fan lol
"Felina" is named as such for a couple reasons; mainly "Fe" being the chemical symbol of iron, "li" being lithium and "na" being sodium. Iron is a major component in blood, lithium a major component in meth production and sodium being a major component in salt, which itself is a component of tears/sweat. Combined it is "blood, meth and tears" which is a play on blood, sweat and tears. It is also an anagram for finale, obviously.
That song “El Paso” really describes the entirety of breaking bad in a way, it fits so perfectly not to mention that New Mexico is literally mentioned in the song. Love the triple meaning of the final episode “Felina”
@@fraserbeitzel3867 I remember reading so many goddamn people posting this back in 2013 that, at this point, it's like hearing someone say "the sky is blue" and I want to dip my head into a vat of acid every time I hear it.
Granite State will always be my number 1 favorite ending of an episode, such ego shatter filled with hate and he knew he still got things to do and so he left with the breaking bad theme INTO THE CREDITS actually felt into of how badass it was
fun fact: walt left his watch because they had filmed a scene that took place after he left NH, but he wasn’t wearing the watch in it so he had to just leave it somewhere to keep continuity. i love those explanations way more though
Fun fact: While recording this scene. Bryan cranston realized that he already knows what hour it is and didn't needed the watch so he left it there mid film. The producers liked this so much that they keep it in the show.
Agreed. Even though I think that there might be better written show than this (i.e. better call saul) i still think that its so unique in its presentation that it will stick to me till i die
it doesn’t matter how he was actually poisoned, all that mattered was that jesse thought he was. huell took the cigarette and so jesse realized that gus had been basically framed by walt
I thought it was because when Jesse was accusing Walt of poisoning Brock, he says that Walt got huell to lift the ricin cigarette off of him (which obviously he did). so when huell pickpocketed his weed off him, it was confirmation that huell could do it, so could have lifted the cigarette off of him. even though it wasn't ricin that poisoned Brock in the end, the cigarette was still missing when Jesse never would've misplaced something like that
In face off, you see huell pickpocket jesse. He does take the ricin cigarette. So for him to do it again means jesse has confirmation the first time could've been him taking the ricin.
I think it basically it very confident that Walt found the cigarette at Jessie house, when Jessie was looking for it before Walt did. Then he realized Huey lifted his weed, he realized he visited Saul right before he lost the ricin
I think he just connected the dots that Walt had the cigarette lifted so he could frame Gus for brock being poisoned, and that he was the one who used the lily to do it. Knowing that the cig was lifted by Hewell really only means one person could be behind the whole thing.
Lydia doesnt/didn't plant the tracker that part of your review was incorrect. She gets a pass because after a few minutes, you hear either hank or gomey call a separate office of the DEA where a different agent took it upon himself to plant the trackers. She had absolutely nothing to do with it besides spotting it.
56:30 one of my favorite details is that Walt Junior originally told him that in the beginning out of disappointment that he was giving up and now he’s telling him that because he actually does want him dead
Also, have you ever noticed how in both shows how often they say apples and oranges and how often you see oranges in particular goes spilling everywhere let’s talk about the things that matter beat rice
1. So glad you had rated ozymandias before doing the walkthrough 2. Two traits I had noticed Walt taking from those he killed was him in season 3 making a sandwich in and then cutting the crust off of it (krazy 8) and the way he answered and hung up the phone in 5x8 when he was talking with jack(Gus)
I just realized with the character trait theory, Crazy-8 got his nickname from a poker game while Walt used poker/gambling as a blanket of how he got his money 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Have any of you realised that walts pistol was disintegrated in guses lab when walt and jesse blew it up in s4. After Walt kills guses men he drops it on the lab floor.
Something I've always wondered about Vamanos Pest. They're just a generic pest control company under disguise, but aren't the homes they cook in... pest infested? Wouldn't that contaminate the supply more than that fly ever could? What brings?
My theory is that the fly is always bugging Walt in the previous season as a symbol of his guilt for what he's done to jesse, his family, and others. Now that he's this far into the game, he feels no guilt for any of his actions that he has done or will do. Working in bug infested houses, mentally saying vamanos to the pest (guilt)
To ‘hajiilee is probably one of my least favorite cliff hangers of all time. Especially knowing what happens next episode. When using a cliff hanger, you typically want to stop right before a major event or during suspension. (A.K.A the entire episode after it.) The timing of the cliff hanger in this episode always felt off to me, especially in the middle of a gun fight. In my opinion, having Jack towering over Hank laying in the sand with Walt’s distance screams coming from the car would’ve been probably the highlight of the series. The screen would cut to black and Walt’s screams of uncertainty and fear would slowly fade into the silent credits rolling.
Walt cutting off the crust was directly taken from Crazy-8, like that is a straight up copy cat maneuver. Can’t see it really being a theory, he DOES take from the ones he kills.
First off, I love and adore the show. From the amazing acting, directing, and just the whole scenery/dedication to muddy realism. But the show has massive continuity flaws especially with the main characters, Jessie being the most consistent. It also kinda drags by the third season, but it was still good and believable then. It started in season 2 for me with Skyler. She for a couple episode is completely 180 who she was in s1 and for no good reason. Overreacting when at this point she knew nothing. Their son even turning weird like Walt had done something after everything was blamed on cancer at this point. To where Skyler hid Flynn's name change and threw her smoking in Walt's face when she didnt know anything and after Walt was begging on hands and knees trying literally everything to make up for it, but for some reason she never wanted to hear it and gave her sister more of a chance to apologize for a crime she knew for sure about and almost getting arrested for it than she did to Walt.. for having a medical problem... It picks up from there and Skyler comes back into character. Then S5 happened, completely ruining and insulting the audience, changing the characters. It starts off with Walt saying theres gold in the streets and starts selling again, which literally makes no sense in his character. He starts getting careless and greedy which i believe is the point and what eventually I believe what gets him caught even though I havent seen the rest of the season. Completely debasing his motive which was his family and since he couldnt quit selling before cause of working under someone, his character would stop, especially since he literally put his family in danger. Throughout the series he didnt want to sell, he didnt want the money but for his family. S5 completely removes this motive for no good reason. Jesse breaks up with his girlfriend on a whim, not even showing anything just a mention to walt, despite his character would not do that and wanted to stop selling altogether. He learned his lessons in the show, otherwise there would be no reason for those scenes of him caring for kids just to eventually care for his own, getting clean cause of his other gf od'ing. All those scenes are just thrown out the window here and for what? Am I the only person who feels like this?
They only had the issue with the hazard pay because of the magnet destroying the pictureframe where all the bank accounts are written on the backside of the picture. Hank also states ,that they wouldnt be able to decrypt the laptop data in the first place.
I’m so late but now that the season 6 bcs list is out. I just have to say. I love bcs much more than Breaking Bad and I still adore breaking bad. But I think genuinely Plan and Execution is better than Ozymsndias. Ozymandias is Walt facing his actions he knowingly commited. It’s perfect. And Ozymandias is nearly as perfect. Second best breaking bad l universe episode imo
