Posing as a hangman, Mace Bishop (James Stewart) arrives in town with the intention of freeing a gang of outlaws, including his brother, Dee (Dean Martin), from the gallows. Mace urges his younger brother to give up crime. Sheriff July Johnson (George Kennedy) chases the brothers to Mexico. They join forces, however, against a group of Mexican bandits. Oh and did I mention the glorious Raquel Welch stars as a Mexican beauty who can handle herself and a six shooter!

Don’t remember this film. So thank you for reviewing it. George Kennedy was the go to character actor of this time up to the mid 70s. He seemed to be in every thing. My favourite James Stewart is Harvey. Be good to see you have a look at that. Best repeated line “ what do you have in mind “ 👍
I was genuinely surprised at how this film ends. Can't say more, but I can't think of another movie with two major established stars that goes to this conclusion. Nice score by Jerry Goldsmith.
Not up there with the all time great Westerns but still an enjoyable film. A good way to kill an hour or two on a rainy day :) Another good, little known Stewart Western is Firecreek, have you seen that yet?
I haven't seen that one! I'll make an effort to check it out. Thank you 👏📽
Great movie.
Looks pretty good 👍 some great actors in this!
I actually saw this in the theater as a kid. The Mexican bandits with the machete kill early in the film- never forgot it. This film gets most of its criticism with the brothers not looking much alike. that never bugged me. Enjoy the film if you get the chance. I wonder if my dad took us to the movie to just see Raquel? :-)
Haha shootouts and Raquel Welsh isn't the worst cinema combination 😆 Yeah, I agree it was quite brutal in places, but I suppose the Wild Bunch was only a year away, so things were a changin... 👏📽
Hey! It’s been 6 months since your last collection update, is there a new one coming soon?
New one coming very soon! 👏 💿 💿
Hi mate, I’ve never heard of this before but oddly enough I picked up an Andrew McLaglen film made the same year called The Devils Brigade and a western last week which starred Raquel Welch called Hannie Caulder, this sounds like my kind of movie, hopefully 88 Films will pick this up and releases it in the UK. Nice one mate👍😃👍
I do enjoy the devils brigade! I was actually looking at that release of Hannie Caulder this morning in HMV, I’ve not seen it but certainly interested. I’ve got a dvd copy of this, but there is a twilight time blu ray that’s pretty pricey now. Well worth checking out though buddy. Thanks for watching mate, hope you’re having a great weekend 👏 🎥

Hi Steven
Fantastic review as always, & totally agree on your thoughts on “Bandolero” while it may not be considered as one of the greats from the genre there’s enough going on in this entertaining movie to keep the western fan & average movie fan watching, great western movie regulars in Stewart, Martin & Kennedy & the ever easy on the eye beauty of Raquel Welch 😍makes this a interesting watch 😎
Thank you as always Carlos! Yes Ms Welch's name on the poster automatically gives the film extra credit! But for the rest of the cast it's amazing that this isn't as well known. I think there's an old Twilight Time blu-ray out there but his needs a new UK release so I can replace my ancient studio classics dvd! Cheers mate, take care. 👏📽
@@ReelClassicFilmReviews I have the German blu ray of it .
