Hi Paul, The artwork technique used on the Slave to the Rhythm album was also used on another album called Sleep It Off by Cristina in 1984. I've been reaquainting myself with some Ze Records material, including Cristina, Was (Not Was), Material, and others. Sadly, Cristina passed away on 01/04/2020 due to Covid-19 aged 61. I have the 1981 Christmas album, and her song Things Fall Apart backed by Was (Not Was) is sublime. The album also contains The Waitresses' song Christmas Wrapping. Unfortunately, the singer for that group passed away at a young age. The album also features songs by Suicide and Alan Vega.
Here in the U.S. I've always heard Grado pronounced "gray/grey-dough". All I can think of with the trivia question is "Poseidon" but I get the Greek and Roman stuff mixed up. Note: Had to look up the other, and the Roman version is Neptune. I use to remember all of that in my younger days, sigh.
Those Fyne Audio floor standing speakers look interesting. Have you tried them Paul. I was fancying the Wharfdale Evo 4.4 but was wondering if they would be a better option? Will be in a regular living room but need to be in the corners of the room.
I knew the name of the god but forgot it. Shame as King Crimson is my fave artist by a long stretch. Im sure you are aware that Jeff Lynne is playing his last gig in July 2025. News from yesterday that Roy Wood found eight unfinished songs and is forming another band similar to ELO. It will be interesting to see what he does.
