You know what I LOVED about this? It showed how great we are when we work together, Amapiano, a South African genre, made viral by many Nigerian artists, Jerusalema started trending because of the guys from Angola, basically different African countries coming together without even realising it. It is a great way to show unity.
I didn't realize that, that's amazing. I'm from Caribbean and me a friend of mine always share the Afrobeats. It's nice to others are doing the same all over the world. I hope to see a collabs with a Trinibagoian singers soon 🇹🇹
I've lived in Kenya and oh my God! what a beautiful country, people, culture, music, food...I could go on and on. I miss Kenya so much. Now I'm in uae and not one day goes by when I don't miss beautiful Africa
You shoud be proud ALWAYS to be an african, not just now. Africans are the best of the best in the world in every way. Big respect from me, from Romania Europa. My husnand is african. Thsnk you mother Africa. God bless you all
I had an opportunity to live in Lagos, 🇳🇬 for a month, and ever since I’m back to India, I haven’t got over the beautiful songs from africa. I am absolutely in love with African songs. They have my heart🥰
🙏 BLESSINGS and Greetings from Dallas Texas USA 🇺🇸. Great list. ..LOVE WANATITI and JERSULALEMA are addictive songs...even when I 😴 sleep I hear them in my dreams 😁 BLESSINGS TO ALL MANKIND
As a Jamaican who is very proud about the impact now reggae has had on the world for decades, I believe Afrobeats will do the same. One of the beauties of Afrobeats is, it makes you want to dance.
Im a Nigerian American just found out in 2021 and immmm soooo PROUD, while we was fighting are way out of slavery the Carcassian stood still African Americans is blooming as Africa sure we has a ways to go but we're getting there i said that to say im sooo ecstatic of what my African brothers & sisters making these awesome songs & dances its wonderful to be living at this time to see what we our doing all around the world.......PEACE🌋
I needed this, as much as I am loving Afro music, your videos make it so much easier to find the songs that will go into my Favorites play list. Love it!!
Jerusalema is a spiritual, soul and dance all together. Amazing song. African people are masters of dance and movement, and singing and vocals are part of our daily lives. It's just that the world don't paid attention to us because of the negative media coverage of Africa. Our leaders are also busy persecuting the populace and stealing their resources.
Loved the video . Here in angola 🇦🇴 Jerusalema is a total hit , we really love the song and I even played it in my mums birthday 🎂 everybody was dancing
I love music period. But once I had access to African contemporary music! Changed my life lol I introduced to all my friends and family almost a decade ago. Black people from around the world are super dope! In America, the last group that was getting the love they deserve was Africa and NOW y’all blowing it up! Taking it to a different level of dopeness! 😁
@@andy_criola it wasn’t advertised at the time. Someone would have to come across it or make an effort to look for it. America may seem like it’s a free country but it is controlled to a degree. With the uncontrollable evolution of social media , it couldn’t be hidden but for so long.
@@andy_criola It's because in The US, it's mainly African Americans that are represented, africans from the continent were always overlooked while in Europe, the black people there are people who came from the continent, that's why Europeans are more connected to African music but also let's be specific, it's not really Europe as a whole that is familiar with african music, it's Western Europe because of their huge black populations. France and The UK are the most familiar for example.
I only heard of #1,2 & 7. I love #7, I am Jamaican American so I tend to listen to afro music they play on the NYC Rado Stations. Nice hearing these other songs as well.
Jersulame was quite popular in SA in December 2019...South Africans get over songs pretty quickly , so by 2020 Feb it was old news.Im sure everyone was quite shocked when it got so much attention later ..truly remarkable
UPDATE..... The song BUGA by Nigeria's Kizz Daniel and Tekno is actually the number one song now.... if you did the list today in June 2022, it should be Number one...and Love Wantiti from Nigeria, should either be one or two if we really want to be honest about the present ranking. I love the collaboration between different African countries in creating these hit songs. God bless Africa...so much talent and culture.
Kudos!!! We did not miss any song out.Ckays Nwatiti is still the biggest. You have great contents but there is a deliberate attempt to skew the numbers.Give flowers to deserving artistes,Beauty Queens or best dancers...........
