I saw the movie "Rome Adventure" back in '62 and thought "Al di la" was the most beautiful love song I had ever heard and now it still ranks that high in 2022.
@@jeannielyver2728 I first saw Rome Adventure back in the 60s and fell in love with "Al-Di-La". Rome Adventure played on TCM yesterday so I recorded it on DVR. Been playing the song over and over since yesterday. And, "Theme from a Summer Place" is another favorite song, as well, for me. "Summer Place" was one of the first songs I played on the piano (after playing nothing but classical music!) Love the music and the movies from the 60s. ❤🎶❤
I cry when I hear this song. I lived in Italy for five years and return often. Every note invokes wonderful memories of living there. There’s no place like Italy.
I've been waiting 50 yrs to go to Italy... hopefully in the spring . I'm an artist and want I see all I can. All my grand parents are from Sicily. If you have advice to visit Italy places dm me
This was one of the most romantic songs of my teenage years without understanding any of the words, I loved it and dreamed of future listening to it. Now some 50years later, the song is just as beautiful and breath taking.
Heard this song on the radio for the first time while driving in Palm Springs , Ca. years ago . It moved me to tears . tried to find 'Ci Sei Tu' . it was 'Al Di La' . mi piace tanto , mille Grazie .
Playing this song today, Columbus Day 10/9/23 while watching the Columbus Day parade with the great Joe Piscopo announcing. So many memories of my visits to beautiful Italy. Viva Italia❤
I play this Song almost every time I get into my car. He is saying that he loves her beyond this world. It is Such a blessing to have love beyond this world. A Love that only GOD ALMIGHTY can give. Yes when He is in it..... We have real love that only the threefold Cord gives us a heart to love beyond this world.........
Just finished watching 💗💗💗 “Rome Adventure” for the first time When this song started playing, I was captivated by its simple, but very heartfelt words and beauty🎵🎵🤍I’ll never forget it and will always think of their romance every time seeing a candelabra🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯❣️
I have just buried the other part of my heart, my husband. We danced to Aldila and with the love in our hearts and in our eyes we will be eternally together. I can not stop the tears, millions of them flowing continually. No love has been greater with the exception of the love Jesus has for us. I know it cannot be, but I would love just one more moment with him, his adoring smile, and gentle touch. Someday I will see this wonderful husband again, and we will dance on the clouds. Goodnight sweetheart.,Nina

I’m Korean and Puerto Rican. I lived in Italy for five years. IT’s everything beautiful that you can imagine. The landscape where I lived was stunning. The people were so gracious. It was the highlight of my life.
@@tonisumblin2719 Lucky you! And what memories! I like that Hemingway quote about having lived in Paris. I'll loosly adapt his quote to Italy: "If one is fortunate to have lived in Italy during ones youth it remains with you for a lifetime, for it is a moveable feast."
I'm an American woman born in America but have some Italian blood in me. Music from the Italians make you feel like love is made to you just through the music. Viva Ala Italiano
Was thinking of my dad singing this song....makes me cry. He died in a car crash when I was 17. I often wonder if my life would have been different with him growing up.
Listened to this fantastic song in the film Rome Adventure from the first time in 1963. Although i do not speak Italian, I do speak Spanish which is alike so I understood what the lyrics said.

This was my mother's favourite song, she was Italian. I cry whenever I hear it because I can picture her singing around the house while she was cooking our meals. Fond memories :'(
This was my fathers favorite song too. He passed away October 24th 2022 . I miss him like you wouldn't imagine I listen to this song everyday even before he passed away .we would listen to it all the time. I cry at the end of the song, I picture my dad smiling at me from heaven. I can't wait to see you daddy I love you and miss you. Why did you leave us why.
Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago that was one of our biggest hit I love love singing knew all the lyrics of this song even if I don’t know Italian but coming from a diverse country you learn quickly
Love this version with Emilio Pericoli's exquisite voice with that smooth & romantic tone of his. All the beautiful musical instruments combined & incorporated into this precious song. It reminds me my deceased parents. 😢😢💔🙏🙏
Just want everyone to know that you're comment on the song is the meaning of one of the lines in the song about his true love, about the 5th line: Al di la delle cose piu belle.
