- Al di la which in English means "Beyond" is a song originally recorded by Betty Curtis. This version, sang by Italian singer Emilio Pericoli, was used in the 1962 film Rome Adventure. Hope you enjoy!

I cry when I hear this song. I lived in Italy for five years and return often. Every note invokes wonderful memories of living there. There’s no place like Italy.
I saw the movie "Rome Adventure" back in '62 and thought "Al di la" was the most beautiful love song I had ever heard and now it still ranks that high in 2022.

I first saw Rome Adventure back in the 60s and fell in love with "Al-Di-La". Rome Adventure played on TCM yesterday so I recorded it on DVR. Been playing the song over and over since yesterday.
And, "Theme from a Summer Place" is another favorite song, as well, for me. "Summer Place" was one of the first songs I played on the piano (after playing nothing but classical music!) Love the music and the movies from the 60s. ❤🎶❤

This was one of the most romantic songs of my teenage years without understanding any of the words, I loved it and dreamed of future listening to it. Now some 50years later, the song is just as beautiful and breath taking.

I was born in 1965,for some reason i am attracted to all these beautiful, hard to explain, maybe i lived a few decades before.
This was my fathers favorite song too. He passed away October 24th 2022 . I miss him like you wouldn't imagine I listen to this song everyday even before he passed away .we would listen to it all the time. I cry at the end of the song, I picture my dad smiling at me from heaven. I can't wait to see you daddy I love you and miss you. Why did you leave us why.

This has been my favorite 'love song' since I first heard it watching Rome Adventure in 1962. I even know all the words.... and I don't speak Italian! I know others sing this but Emilio Pericoli, in my opinion, sings it the best.... and, such a romantic movie :-)
