SH Figuarts Leonardo Figure Review and Comparison w/ NECA Leonardo TMNT Cartoon Line

- Today we take a look at the S.H. Figuarts Leonardo compared to the NECA Leonardo. We look at size as well as accessories and design to see if the Figuarts figure could potentially be a substitute into the NECA cartoon line.

I'm really happy that the SHF Turtles scale so well with the NECA figures. Like you, I was lucky enough to grab the SHF turtle set during their sale, but the NECA toon turtles are long gone for anything close to retail. I'm grabbing what I can of the NECA offerings lately, so them all scaling together is a nice treat. Honestly, I'd probably grab the NECA turtles, too, if they found a way to make them more accessible in the future.
I have seen some comments from the Neca twitter account hinting at a possible option in the future to get the turtles!! Fingers crossed the re-release the darker green color versions!!

Great time to be a tmnt collector! Lots of choices.
I’ve been looking to pick up the SHF TMNT, because I just don’t wanna deal with the headache of the NECA line. And I know that SHF quality is 10/10, love all of their Super Sentai/Power Rangers stuff.
max cooljazz your exactly right on the 10/10. For the price and the quality you get, the SH has got to be a top consideration if ur looking to grab cartoon versions of the turtles! I’ll have to check out the SH ranger stuff. Do u have that line??
ManCave Collectibles I’ve had a bunch in the past and sold them when I quit collecting 5 or so years ago, but I’m dipping my toes back in with some DBZ stuff that I missed and it’s still just as good as I remember. For me, SHF is just one of the best brands out there, man. It’s consistent and it’s consistently good.

In my personal opinion (and a lot of my tmnt groups online) the darker color NECA are the top of the crop for the original tmnt series fans. If you are going for the lighter colors as in the video...in my opinion the Figuarts all the way. Being the same size and the great quality of Figuarts you can’t go wrong. I personally enjoy the first darker tmnt for my neca collection and the Figuarts for fun poses and a different look for pics when needed. Bottom line if u had too choose one set the darker NECA are the way to go....if u can’t spend that kind of $, Figuarts #2. I am glad you made this video, will help a lot of folks out. I haven’t seen one comparing the light neca and the Figuarts. 👍
I would have to agree with u. I had the SDCC 2017 8 pack and sold it for the lighter color turtles and now I wish I woulda kept those and got the SH Figuarts for the lighter color as u said above. Well said and thanks for the comment!!
Man great review I love the neca but man there over price now in days but I did find all SHF figures for a nice price for all of them so will go with SHF figures there both nice too
Agreed!!! Getting into Neca turtles late is a beast. SH could def fill that gap for a period of time for a better price!!

Why don't u have the arcade turtles in time figs ?
I like em, but they are just repaints of figures I have in the cartoon line. Hard to justify buying two of virtually the same figure. But I totally understand why someone would.
Quality wise, Figuarts all the way, as same reasons in the video, especially @ $40 each brand new from B&N...Didnt get the Neca versions, except Leo because of Shredder 2 pack, w/c I was glad he came w/ since Leo's my favorite turtle..Neca's arent bad, Figuarts are just better.
gerrysabron being new to Figuarts myself, and what little experience I have had.....they seem to be as good or better than ANY 6-7” line out there!! Thanks for sharing ur thoughts also!!

The logo was like that because that was the logo of the brand "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" back when they realese these Turtles, the logo is from de Nickelodeon 2012 TMNT series

Wrong! You did not have the option to buy the Neca figures individually so you still paid $100 for it
Does anyone know if the figure of shreder in sh figuarts has already gone on sale?
As far as I can tell, it’s been delayed indefinitely. I tried to find info on it and had no luck. If it is still coming, they’ve not released any type of update on it.
Sh looks very plasticicky necca better except for the top of the head.
Neca version looks horrible with those cartoon lines, it looks like a child painted it.
