This was phenomenal! I am an 82-year-old Black woman. Undergrad education in nursing (RN). Graduate education in divinity(MDiv). I am so proud of Jasmine Crockett. Her outspokenness has been echoed in my life in my two daughters who are close to her age. Her knowledge and her standing for the truth and own the truth. This is what we, as African Americans, need to support and promote in our children. I also want to applaud her mother for the rearing of a confident young lady who is not afraid to take a stand. I was with you until your reference to her as an "African American." The use of that term shows you're either of foreign-born ancestry, or you aren't able to embrace your American-Ness. I am a black women, single mom, working in a non-profit organization, and under the Biden Administration my student loan was 100% forgiven. I am voting Biden economics, and now can help my children. That’s my story ❤️.
German here. Things here may be a little different, but the principle is the same. I got a good education too ==> meaning I got money, I had to repay later. But I never got the good job ==> meaning been payed accordingly to my education (so it would be easier to pay back).
But I still had to pay back my loan.
If a 100% of your loan was forgiven AND you are able to work in a good paying job...that is a somewhat injustice advantage, isn't it?

The provision of forgiveness falls within the student loan forgiveness program for workers of qualified non profits. Black women in America get paid about .67 to the dollar compared to white men. Latina women even less.

I am a 42 year old white woman, single mom, registered nurse who worked her ass off through the pandemic (and always) caring for the public. But serving the public in this way doesn't count for pslf because the organization I work for is "private." As much as I would love to work for a not-for-profit/county/government facility, they are just not available. But I barely make enough to support my family, living paycheck to paycheck, and student loans looming over my head.
I am thrilled for everyone who got forgiveness, I think its an absolutely wonderful thing that's been done for the millions who received it. But these Republicans who continue to block forgiveness for all of us are so damn frustrating.

It is very refreshing to watch an interview with a real person serving real people in Congress who does not give us false stories to promote her party but gives authentic information that helps us to understand the political system in congress and how the decisions affect our daily lives.
She broke down in simple terms and easy to digest format, the history behind support for Isreal and why it is not as basic as what most people think.
She highlited the importance of foreign aid and helped us to understand that only 1% of the country's budget goes to foreign aid. Therefore, we should be asking where the 99% of the budget goes instead of fighting over the 1% that is going to foreign aid.
Jasmine is very intelligent and caring. She gets my vote for anything she runs for. What a rare gem.
