hi. Im a Coach and trying to learn as much as I can about this formation. Really love the formation becuase it gives u so many options in attack and defence. Keep up with the good work dude.
I did run this formation. You don’t present it well. It is a very effective and versatile formation. But you are limiting its options with poor animation and bad information. When I introduced it to my U-19 boys, of whom never had tactics as part of their training, we went from a 0-1-8 to second in our group in one season with 5-2-2. An were the only team to make the eventual state cup winners struggle to barely beat us with a 2-1 in the last minute. Then fucking Covid. Yes, this is a winning formation when presented and played correctly.
I am coach of national Libyan youth team I use dictionary to understand more details about it I was former player played as CB in many local teams and national team I have experience but I want more information to be fit in common football formation like 41212 narrow and wide also 541 and 343 diamond that I use it when I face tough teams I use long high hall aginst them to beat their high rate possession and less opposing attacking . I checked your channel I founded more helpful to me , many thanks and Regards for you all ALSO I hope face you coaches in up coming international events 🎉
Thanaj Cheziyan it’s not used because the structure of the formation automatically puts teams at a disadvantage in the middle. Most teams play with 3 in the center of the pitch. Also, all professional coaches know the fundamentals tactics of the 442 so they know how to play against that. It’s a great formation and if done correctly it can be used to win matches but at the end of the day, teams want to win and the 442 hasn’t had a winning reputation in a while. Currently, Atletico Madrid are doing well with that formation but they seem to be the only team. If they manage to win La Liga, you will begin to see some teams use the formation again. For now, the 4231 seems to dominate the football world.
@@ousmanedembele1845 specifically - two strikers, who are great in pair: Yorke-Cole, Phillips-Quinn, Koller-Barosh, Shevchenko-Rebrov. The Golden age of paired strikers
I am coach from libya i found 41212 narrow more effective it is good formation if you want draw result but if you want draw or win use 41212 narrow it is heavy weight formation 😂
There is a lot wrong here: defensively, the full backs fall in to be a back for and compress the box, while the wingers handle the outside threats. If a fullback is drawn wide, it is the winger that falls inside to cover the space if the #6 or #8 cannot. Attacking, the Ingres ARE OUT WIDE! you keep them compressed and never available to exploit the field. The #8 or #6 is going to explode into the center freeing the #10 to roam into other open areas with the striker. This is the poorest example of how to run an effective 4-2-3-1 ever.
@@seanmmccarthy, there is, but this explanation is lacking too much. It isn’t tactically sound. It is the worst representation of this formation I have yet come across.
What are your thoughts on the 4-2-3-1 Formation Tactics? Do you play or coach with this formation?

I am a coach of U13 and today i win the first game of the seson 6.1 with the 4231 total domination if you have good midfielders and realy fast wingers

Coach why nowadays traditional 442 is not being used frequently
