In this video I will show you how I made this one of a kind LHM 32 Split Keyboard. It’s 90% handcrafted and so I am taking the opportunity to share with you my whole process as well as my train of thoughts when it comes to prototyping. and I hope this will give some of you an idea or two when it comes to prototyping anything you desire building and not only keyboards, but other electronics, cases or whatever gadgets or mechanical gizmos you are trying to build.
I made this video for all of you crafters and hobbyists out there. If you like to get your hands dirty, I hope that some of the steps I took in making the case will inspire you. Just take what is good from my process as my work ethic is not always the best, but also keep in mind that what I am building is meant as a prototype.

Indeed 😃. This is a How to video. I am thinking about also making another one but more like a presentation to show the finished keyboard from more angles. I hope you like how the project evolved so far. And thank you for staying close !🙏🏼

Great craftsmanship. I wonder ia a GMK or ZMK dual controller approach would not make the wire loom easier.

Do you have a wiring and hardware guide for this keyboard?
Or could you point me to some resourde?
    What chip are you using?
    What wiring advice schematics? :D
Not sure what to ask, but i want to build this thing myself :)

There are useful links in the description of the videos. There are 3 videos regarding mechanical keyboards on my channel each has some useful links in the description.

do you get any pain after using this for a year?

No. I still use it successfully and love it. I all honesty though, I don’t use my desktop as my main computer anymore so I can’t say what it is like to use it intensely. However when I made it I would spend 1-2h / day typing on it. I did this for more than a month and it felt great to me.

@@LifeHackerMax i enjoyed it and apparently really need to learn to sculpt some clay. seems like a tool I've been sleeping on. i am horrible at organic design in cadx so forming shapes physically might be what i need.

I made them with regular wires and thermal housing. The one that shrinks when heated.

hi, what is the model of the chair? thank you

      @LifeHackerMax  Рік тому

I don’t know to be honest. It is very similar to the POANG Chair from IKEA but is either an older model or different brand because IKEA has full wooden frame.

I am curious as what are the possible/potential Support on this
Can it be used on a Console and a handheld pc like Valve - Steamdeck or similar thingw
But either way That looks so confortable to use on a chair like you used 😂
You did a really good job on the design

Thank you 😊!!! As far as I know It works as any Bluetooth keyboard. I tested it so far on Windows 10 pc, Lenovo Tablet, iPad, MacBook and iPhone. The compatibility is awesome so far. It is very comfortable until you get stiff on the chair and you have to get up 🤭. But drinking coffee in the morning and browsing online is great!

it really is beautiful. I was thinking of using clay myself but it really is a labor of love and I don't have the time for learning how to wire these things.
But 100% this is the best possible keyboard one could have, it's custom. Unfortunately I'll probably end up buying some other split keyboard but I just wanted to point out how good this is.
