- A few days ago, I came across some insanely cheap alcohol markers online. I was intrigued and thought that I'd go try it out. These markers cost $3 for a 48 pieces set! Will this prove that it's not the art materials but the skills that matter? Let's go and find out!

Wow,even in Bangladesh here,one alcohol marker is way more expensive then this ,12 markers cost 7 dollars of the cheap ones

honestly the fact that some of the colors actually look the name would be a win for me, cause i wouldn't really mind and also i use markers a lot, so if i run outta a color i like i could just use another, lets just say, for sort, i like similar colors lol, but yeah, i'll consider getting those, sense i dont have alcohol markers just yet :)

@@jelisnook Yes, I did some works before.
No offense, but no marker will perform well on regular printing paper or paper thats not suited for alcohol markers. As with every medium out there (no matter dry or wet), the paper quality is the most important part. Even the cheapest art supplies will look good on the right paper. On the wrong paper however, even the most premium art supplies will look bad.
Yeah, I did not have marker paper with me sadly 😞 so I had to just settle with ordinary sketchpad paper. Do you have any recommendations to work as a substitute for marker paper?
@@jelisnook Smooth Bristol paper works well. I'm using the Canson XL Bristol Smooth paper. Its also pretty affordable. Thicker, smooth Cardstock might work as well, tho I wouldn't recommend it for serious projects, just sketching.
But yeah, smooth Bristol paper, the Ohuhu marker paper and the Deleter Comic Book paper is what I use. Ohuhu also released a new "bleed proof" marker paper (basically an affordable Crescent Rendr knock-off). Might also be worth a try (I havent tested it myself, yet).
