Chelsea have appointed Enzo Maresca as their new head coach.
The 44-year-old, who succeeds Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge, moves from Leicester after leading them back to the Premier League by winning the Championship.

I got a good feeling about Enzo Maresca, I think this one will stick and build something good for chelsea....Only time will tell...
So Marseca lost 8, drew 2 and won 10 of his last 20 games with Leicester - in other words he was found out in that league by the better teams (just think about that!). Most of the Leicester fans I've seen commenting elsewhere aren't that bothered that he's gone and many called his football style the most boring style they'd seen at their club with most of the passing and possession at the back! This is going to be a worse appointment than Potter.
As long he is Italian.chelsea has history with italian coaches.he will succeed but given time by board and patient fans.
Many people are mentioning Maresca's possession based "slow" football. I think he was doing this to suit the players he had at Leicester. He will be inheriting a host of explosive and technical players with Chelsea and he will definitely tweak how he plays. Let's wait and see.
Maresca will definitely have to humble himself for this club and squad. He'll have to create a working plan for Enzo - Caicedo. Mudryk is expendable.
Very interesting how nowadays teams are appointing managers almost entirely based on their tactics rather than their experience (Kompany, Maresca etc)
We need to give him chance but I think his going to be a very good manager

Marseca is on half the wages Poch was. So a 5 +1 contract for Enzo was the same as giving poch his 2+1.
Kills two birds with one stone. The long contract shows trust in the manager, while still having some relative financial protection if we need to sack him before the contract is over.
I hope he succeeds, but if he has a slow start i hope the board will stick with him and give him time to implement his ideas.
This constant changing of managers is ruining the club. Maybe it would be better to sack those who select the managers?
Ideally Enzo Maresca saying he likes Sanchez and willing to work with him doesn't mean he will be first choice goal keeper😂

He will face troubles..the tactics require huge responsibilities and almost none of our players are as disciplined.
To be coach for Chelsea it means to be risk coz every coach appointed is good but not stay along time just mind potter, pochettin , thom those are good coaches but doesn't concluded his job
We've been garbage since Conte left. He needs top 4, it's long overdue. That's a big ask.
One of the craziest appointments ever. Very little on his cv and 10m compensation to get him. Chelsea have the players to challenge for top 4 but owners ensure its one step forward and two steps back. Would love to be wrong of course, but next season will be worse than potter in my opinion.

If he makes Sanchez his No.1 he is already showing that he is not that smart and is already digging his tomb. Anyone who has watched 2 matches of Chelsea with Sanchez this season and 2 matches of Petrovic would know that Petrovic is above Sanchez in all aspects including his passing.

Another humungous payday coming his way before spring and yet another failure for the King of Failure Toad Boehly.
I am happy with the board on this. Realistically no top manger would like to be associated with Chelsea at this moment.
Why?
-This guy knows what it takes to win trophies, not always as the main man but as an assistant.
-Got Leicester promoted.
-Knows how to deal with players at the highest level.
- Worked with Palmar, Sterling and Lavia
- No ego, happy to work with a young and talented squad.
- We needed a guy that is happy to be just a manager and not interfere with other aspects of the club.
Suggestions
- Keep Corner and Trevor
- Get JT amongst the coaching staff we need a true blue in the set-up.
I believe it's just a matter of time before this young and talented group of individuals starts fulfilling their full potential.
