Dutchie here. I just want to know what the hell is going on with Joost Klein. The fact that we don't get any information makes us Dutchies very angry! It's on the main news and all the other programs in The Netherlands now. We don't know nothing!
The medias sayd it was a physical incident betwwen Joost and a photographer. Also mentioned a reported who is beeing really rude with some singers acusing them from being antisemits for not aproving the partisipation of Israel this year.
It does not have anythign to do with the press conferense in itself. But it can be connected too it but I doubt it. He has been violent against a photographer. I do not know much more.

This year is so bad. I was sad to see what happened today during Eurovision, especially around Joost. Personally, I think if he attacked someone, he must have had a reason. Eurovision was his dream, he put so much work into it, why would he just throw it away? It doesn't make sense to me. Why isn't it addressed how a certain delegation treats the other participants. And the fact that they added fake applause after the performance (14) and turned up the volume so that the audience couldn't hear, I'm not even commenting on... The performance for the jury is currently underway. Joost will not be performing and his recording will be used. This is so unfair. After today, I don't even want to watch the final tomorrow.
So how that CERTAIN participant treated others? Did she offend someone? Did she hurt someone? Did she hated someone? Did she run naked around shouting political slogans? She is same contestant as others. Applauses were volumes up because crowd started to whistle. Same technology was applied in 2015. What’s the problem?

Not sure, it's just what I read in all this chaos, but wanted to pass it on. The artist herself is also drawing a short straw in all of this. Can't be easy for her for sure

Hi Alex, it is a shame for Eurovision what the EBU had done to Joost. I followed the whole thing on vacation. But we are still proud of him. And he has the biggest hit this year! In the charts here he's back on nr 1 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks man for this reaction. It's good as always ❤❤❤
The organisation don't want Joost to win. Now two things are clear: 1: the Eurovision is political(Israël) 2:the organisation choose the winning country.
Joost was disqualified... Dutch newspapers stated that the 'incident' is laughable and something minor, but still he was disqualified. Very sad to do that to such a nice guy, such a great contender. Ruining his chances.
Good take on a tragic day, Alex. Joost's vocal performance was not great in the semis (as you noted too), so he really needed the jury session to do better. Now he will get even fewer jury points than expected. Maybe some more sympathy votes in the televote but as you say this will not be enough to win it. 😞
Joost has not been arrested, there was no violence and the Swedish prosecutor is not in any hurry (could take weeks). Nevertheless, the EBU has both convicted and punished Joost, as well as the Netherlands and all fans of Eurovision. I am from Sweden so this is all very sad. The protesters have been peaceful. The show have been well made and the hosts and scene is good. But seeing this it would be better not too allow Israel. And I am not touching the conflict in Israel since that is way to complicated and people always are way to involved in that conflict around the world. Regading Joost. I liked the guy but he does not seem to take pressure well. You can not assault a photographer. He also bring chaos in to this. And everyone seems to always want to connect it to Israel. But it does not matter. You have to be able to keep calm and focus at the task at hand. But this is not needed, Israel is not a port of Europe. Ukraine was and that was more of a uniting thing for Europe. This is just dividing since it is not about Israel but infighting with in the countries. It will only lead to countries dropping of the contest and artists not wanting to be a part of it.

When the host of the press conference, the Swedish journalist Jovan Radomir, broke in and said that Eden did not have to answer the question, Joost Klein said: - Why not? Joost Klein also covered his head with the Netherlands' flag repeatedly during the press conference as the Netherlands was placed next to Israel. Something that has been interpreted as a marking. There is also reports of some physical confrontations with a woman at the production. He is not disqualified, but the incident is under investigation.
