The guests explode because it's a safety mechanism to the golf clubs. You see, when the guest leaves with the golf club while not walking in close proximity to the golf course, it explodes to prevent them from stealing it. This is why they seem to "wander" near the exit before leaving, since they are putting the clubs back and not exploding. They really want to steal the golf clubs.
A totally reasonable precaution. Considering guests are strong enough to snap stone benches in half with their bare hands, imagine how devastatingly powerful one would be if they had a *weapon.*
To be fair the robotic way he does the other videos kind of adds to the humour for me. Like a super serious and in-depth explanation of some old kids game.
I got the opposite impression. For live streams it’s fine and expected, but for normal videos it’s jarring to hear his “video voice” and “um”s in there together. I’ve gotten so used to how tight his videos usually are, it just sounds like he lost his script, or worse was deliberately adding them. It reminded me of some stupid marketing or instructional video I saw years ago which was obviously pre-recorded but *deliberately* added a couple mistakes in demonstration and some umming to make it sound more “personable”, and it only had the opposite effect and turned me off the whole video. That didn’t happen for this video, but it was still a bit jarring.
I just tested this in oRCT2 and I think it might get some of the bonuses. I'm seeing a 0.43 excitement boost that I can't account for. i.imgur.com/TJ6LSzx.png
The guest crashes because the car of the minigolf is actually invisible and contains 1 gust and when a car from or a coaster or from any other ride comes off the track, it explodes and kills the guest, which in this case kills one guest.
Could you imagine being everyone else on that golf course? I mean, after the first guy explodes, but you're still forced to complete the damn course and explode yourself? It's like "nope, the only one to get out of the golf course is to follow the path. It is literally impossible to just cut across the lawn and leave"
Because they noticed the landmines surrounding the course and a sniper that prevents you from going backwards. So really, if you're gonna die anyway, you might as well at least finish the course. Why not?
i think unscripted explanations are good for less serious videos like these, but your formula for your main channel videos should be kept as it is, as it works great. fun video btw; i think the guests crash because the game treats the incomplete golf course (or any incomplete ride) as an incomplete rollercoaster, and since it's an incomplete rollercoaster, the "train" gets off the track and explodes (except in this case, the "train" is our lone guest)
How did I make them crash? "it's surprisingly simple" When the ball gets in the hole a hidden contraption triggers a p switch turning the queue into shiny yet deadly coins This is literally a troll ride
Do we like this? Do we like exploding mini-golf? Do we like a fun, family-friendly activity where SUDDENLY YOU EXPLODE? Man, what in the HELL are you even ASKING? Yes, yes we like this. Very much yes. Very yes. Explode yes golf much explode BOOM VERY GOLF MUCH YES. Please continue to make more videos of this type. Please.
I enjoyed the casual conversation style of this video. You're edited / scripted videos are succinct and efficient, but this is definitely a welcomed alternate style.
I'd also like to chime in that the more casual tone suits this silly video. I'm a big fan of your professional-sounding scripted videos, though! So don't change your style =)
If you're worried about sounds like "uh", "eh", and the likes just edit them out later. Record your microphone audio on a separate track and just cut out what you don't want later in post-production.
I hate it when I'm playing mini golf and I explode into a ball of fire and bits of metal. P.S. I like this style of unscripted videos and would be happy to see more of them.
This is one of the first videos that I've legit laughed out loud at. I think that I've laughed for about 3 minutes upon seeing that explosion. Great job!

More ! This is great ! It's nice to see you construct this kind of stuff
Your ingenuity is amazing and talking through these things live sounds fine (especially considering you’re doing these in your second language!) - you’ll have fewer pauses and so on as you do more of them :)
Haha awesome video 😂. You got me to start playing RCT again after 10+ years! I think you should keep the videos on your main channel very professional sounding and stick with its serious format. But this channel just chill out and have fun and show us some of the dumb funny stuff we could do in RCT 😄. Anyway keep up the awesome work on both channels!
There's a bunch of OpenRCT2 servers that advertise these, and I've often wondered how they made that work. Interesting that in the code it settles it by exploding the guests rather than crashing the game- what an awesome video game I tell ya! As for the videos, it all sounds good sir! Whatever you make I'll watch!
I love this style, I think it depends on the subject of the video. For a ride overview or something similar I think I prefer the "old" style because you need that clear explanation in order to really take in all the info. For fun videos like this, this style really works.
???? No interlocked loops? I thought you were good at this game e: Regarding the video being unscripted, I'm on the fence. It feels more "familiar" or "friendly" but less professional, and one thing that draws me (and others, I think) to your content is your professional and straight-to-the-facts style of video making. Maybe a mix of both is a good way to do it, but I'd steer clear of unscripted for things like Ride Overviews or major "12 years of suffering" style videos
You're right that this style isn't fit for those videos and I wasn't planning on using it for my main channel. With the question I meant if only if you like the style for videos like this that are a bit a less factual.
I think it suits non-factual videos perfectly. Also didn't realize we were on the second channel here. Just know that whatever you do, I will enjoy it Mr. Vos
4:36 If I had to guess, the guests on the mini golf are technically "trains" with a capacity of 1. They crash because that's what happens when a train isn't on the track and is touching ground.
Doing a short video straight to the point without cutting is absolutly ok. As long as you dont pause too long and try something out and correcting it. But like this its totaly fine and nice.
And now, after a leading streak with two pars, Bentsen Jensen just have to traverse the final tile to claim his price... of, you hate to see that happen.
This more open format of video feels more natural and more entertaining, please do more quick little unscripted idea videos like this, really enjoyed it.
You have enlightened me to the answer to part of a mystery, which was, "Why do the slide dingy crash with a fiery explosion?" They don't. It's the guests that explode. Still a question of why but at least I know it's not the dingys. Still wondering why the dingys are made of metal panels though.
Mini Golf 1 is too intense for me
😂
Mini Golf 1has crashed!
THIS gave me a good laugh 🤣 thank you!!
killer queen already touched the grass?
I'm not going on Mini Golf 1 - It isn't safe!
Guest: *literally combusts into a fireball of shrapnel and horrible screams*
Marcel: "He's dead"
@Rina Quartz wow me too
That's a dead kid

(You brought back memories, thanks...)
What? What? What?
Oh no! Anyway...
Guest: *Trips on a misaligned seam, falls through the floor, and explodes.*
Just like real mini-golf.
"When the guest gets to the end right about now, something happens."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAA" *explodes*
"He's dead."
Well exiting any holes and the guests teleport to their deaths
LATOM🙏
6:01 dude is so happy to get 2 hole in ones at the end and his prize is spontaneous combustion xD
good work
RIP :D
Hevwas so happybhe exploded

They really want to steal the golf clubs.
I'm unfamiliar with RCT2 and have no idea if you're kidding.
Gibus Wearing Mann he’s kidding
superior melee weaponary
A totally reasonable precaution. Considering guests are strong enough to snap stone benches in half with their bare hands, imagine how devastatingly powerful one would be if they had a *weapon.*
The only thing more boring than playing golf is watching golf
Marcel Vos: Allow me to introduce myself.
+10 points
Akademee “Hello Everyone!”
+!0!?
There goes par...
at 0:36 I realized this was going to be the best RCT video of all time
Not to mention the guest who just entered who was like "Yeah, fuck that." and just went straight for the exit.
He's dead.
The unscripted videos are great... It's like you're more personable with your audience and less robotic. Nice work!
''It's like you're more personable with your audience and less robotic''
Exactly! I also like this videoconcept a lot. More please!
To be fair the robotic way he does the other videos kind of adds to the humour for me. Like a super serious and in-depth explanation of some old kids game.

If you do interlocking loops on the minigolf, does it get an excitement bonus?
You joke, but I am legitimately interested in seeing if mixing and matching parts from different rides has such stat implications!
Def gets a bonus from being close to the loop
I just tested this in oRCT2 and I think it might get some of the bonuses. I'm seeing a 0.43 excitement boost that I can't account for. i.imgur.com/TJ6LSzx.png
Or will the excitement rating go up if you put a path through the vertical loop?
The guest crashes because the car of the minigolf is actually invisible and contains 1 gust and when a car from or a coaster or from any other ride comes off the track, it explodes and kills the guest, which in this case kills one guest.
Water slide rafts also explode like this. I've got to remember to stop filling them with hydrogen.
I'm trying SO HARD not to lose my shit laughing but this is just SO FUNNY with the sheer absurdity of it all
1979: in the future we’ll have flying cars and live in space!

sweesbees technically it’s more like 2005
And this is why you don't play "a gentle game of Mini Golf" in a minefield!
Could you imagine being everyone else on that golf course? I mean, after the first guy explodes, but you're still forced to complete the damn course and explode yourself? It's like "nope, the only one to get out of the golf course is to follow the path. It is literally impossible to just cut across the lawn and leave"

Me: "why did you do this?!"
Why not?

land mines make any minigolf course more challenging
How did I make them crash? "it's surprisingly simple"

This is literally a troll ride

"I'm not going on Mini Golf 1. It isn't safe."
Next video: a flying 4D Cinema
I'm 26 and I laughed harder than I should have at the exploding guests.
That second guy in the minigolf, sweathing as he makes his last putt while watching another guy completely explode
Yeah, these videos are quite chill and the unscriptedness of it actually goes very well with the silliness shown.

VERY GOLF MUCH YES
Guest: I don't get why this is called the mini-golf of doom.
Guest: *trips*
*Help! I've fallen down and can't get up!*
0:36 Killer Queen has already touched that pathway
Nice.
Marcel just trying to live a quiet life
This about sums up my experience with mini golf
I enjoyed the casual conversation style of this video. You're edited / scripted videos are succinct and efficient, but this is definitely a welcomed alternate style.
I love that it's still possible to come up with new ways to kill people
Spontaneous human combustion.
This one in particular is fully deserving of main channel, honestly.
I'd also like to chime in that the more casual tone suits this silly video. I'm a big fan of your professional-sounding scripted videos, though! So don't change your style =)

ABC’s extreme mini golf has nothing on Marcel’s Mini Golf 1.
*“Geez bro, it’s only mini-golf, no need to get so angry!”*
This is one of the first videos that I've legit laughed out loud at. I think that I've laughed for about 3 minutes upon seeing that explosion. Great job!

Yes, loved this style of video! Would love to see something on guest routes(How guests get lost so easily)!
Ah, the grass must be covered in nitroglycerin. When they’re walking, it’s fine, but when they fall from the tiniest height it explodes.
I love this kind of content! Please don't stop making those silly videos, scripted or not
There's a bunch of OpenRCT2 servers that advertise these, and I've often wondered how they made that work. Interesting that in the code it settles it by exploding the guests rather than crashing the game- what an awesome video game I tell ya!
As for the videos, it all sounds good sir! Whatever you make I'll watch!
geweldig video Marcel, kan niet wachten op de volgende in deze series!
great video marcel! enjoying it a lot
Please continue this.
For some reason the guests exploding had me rolling with laughter.
Next: exploding Merry Go Round
"Please stay on the designated paths of the mini golf course for your own safety."
"Pfft, what's the worst that can happen?"
You gotta make more man, I love this!
I fear no man
But that thing,
That thing scares me
What a treat. You're a naturally funny dude.
0:36 the best part is all the other guests in the queue as well as the guy who just walked in all just NOPE outta there
That’s pretty awesome would love to see some more rides like this
Lmfao. This is incredibly funny and dark. The scream that accompanies the explosion is so comical. XD In a game about theme park building!!
Make everything explode. The mini golf, the go-karts, even the concession stands.
Thanx for making me install this game again!
I could watch nothing but that coaster for hours.
"It's just a fun little thing I thought I could make"
*screams of pain as a guest explodes*
0:38 exploding person, that's so funny!
I love this style, I think it depends on the subject of the video. For a ride overview or something similar I think I prefer the "old" style because you need that clear explanation in order to really take in all the info. For fun videos like this, this style really works.
I read the title as Explaining Mini-golf and I was like “ah finally” but no my eyes have deceived me
This made me laugh way harder than I would like to admit :D
well I was in Pony park slagharen yesterday and it had a mini golf with a looping, 3 corkscrews and a big looping!!!!
While your channel isn’t primarily meant to be comedy, your comedic timing is impeccable in all videos.
YES, more of these videos. awesome pannekoek exploding videos.
Okay but the best part has to be the scream right before they explode
I liked this one! Just keep the main channel like it is, content like this works better for this channel
This looks like the ultimate golf player's execution.
???? No interlocked loops? I thought you were good at this game

That was too funny to watch, and I really didn't mind that it wasn't scripted. I'd be interested in more videos like this.
Thank you Marcel, very cool!
I wonder if rotating works on mazes?
Imagine, maze minefields :)
I like how the guests keep slowly walking to their doom despite seeing the people in front of them literally EXPLODE
Killer Queen has already touched that guest.
toad23567 nice
This is hilarious. I gotta get back to this game
Killer Queen has already touched the golf ball.
I love the guests; it's like WOW minigolf is so exciting and really good value to I really really don't want to go on minigolf. I'm terrified! lol
This is hillarious :'D
Loved this haha :)

*AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH* kuuuuhf
Roller Coaster Tycoon Mini-golf: It'll blow your mind!
This more open format of video feels more natural and more entertaining, please do more quick little unscripted idea videos like this, really enjoyed it.
ooh, I can think of neat applications for this in creative parks, like a minigolf that teleports people around the park to different scenic locations.
This is magical
Nice video marcel.
I feel this minigolf track is a life analogy
Golfer: *explodes*
Guests in queue: noooope nope nope
Mini-golf course :Why are you running!? Why are you running!?
I didn't even notice this video wasn't scripted. Now that you mentioned, I guess it feels more natural. It gives us time to let the info sink in.
Love this!!
Oh! That explains all the weirdness with the guests! They were robots all along!
You have enlightened me to the answer to part of a mystery, which was, "Why do the slide dingy crash with a fiery explosion?"
They don't. It's the guests that explode. Still a question of why but at least I know it's not the dingys. Still wondering why the dingys are made of metal panels though.
I like this style of video too.
This was fun :D
This is what the game was meant for, thanks for showing us!
