difficulties with coming up with a fitting lyrics/melody. So I decided
to use Radix's lyrics, with this lovely orchestra arrangement!
I had to mix Cami-Cat's vocals in SOMEWHERE CUS I LOVE HER
VERSION ALOT OK? PLEASE. Anyways, the bridge? part turned

I got cringe. A good cringe.
In the Neutral and Pacifist Runs, Undyne isn't comfortable with slaughtering a harmless child. She doesn't feel like the hero she wants to be doing that, even if it saves everyone in the Underground if she does. She is better than that at her very core. So she holds herself back, either on purpose or unknowingly, giving you more of a chance.
In a Genocide run, she doesn't even recognize you as HUMAN, let alone a child. You're just a threat to every living thing, and if she has ANYTHING to say about it, even if it costs her her existance, you will not be taking another goddamn step. Not while she stands. Not while she can still hold a spear. And she is gonna give it all she's got.
A true hero indeed. This isn't YOUR boss fight against HER, it's HER boss fight against YOU. And if you pay attention, you find Hotland an awful lot emptier passing through after, implying that her sacrifice accomplished something: It gave Alphys plenty of time to evacuate as many monsters as she could from your path.

Toby fox did an excellent job at portraying a true absolute hero. Undyne is a hero right down to her very core.

I still love that last line "real heroes don't have to fight" it summarizes the game so well.
Not only does it shows that Frisk attains the best ending, not by fighting, and coiming out as a true hero but it also shows that the real goal of a true hero is to reach an ending where no fight is ever needed again!
It's definitely the most fitting line for this theme
It might just be me, but I don't know if that's what the line is meant to portray.
I think that line is meant to portray the conflict that one has to overcome within themselves. That your heart keeps telling you to stop fighting, to lay down your arms. But that overcoming that feeling, to stand up and keep fighting for your ideals and those behind you, is that makes you a hero, despite wishing that you didn't have to fight.
A true hero never seeks out war, but should always be prepared for it
Undyne is one of my favorite characters.
When you fight her, all she thinks about are her friends and protecting everyone.
She doesn’t even think of herself. Honestly, she deserves more than she gets from the fandom.
She has to deal with so many mental loads;
Protecting the entire monster kind while keeping good relationships and facing serious threats all at the same time.

When Undyne turned into the Undying. Chills went down my spine, I knew this was gonna be just as hard, if not harder than Sans (as I was already aware of the Sans Fight). She's *this* difficult. Sans had to break rules of the game to be super difficult,
Undyne doesn't need to do that, she's an honorable warrior who fights fair, I can only imagine what would happen if she did the same thing as sans and started attacking you when it wasn't her turn, and then activating KR on top of it. That'd be impossible for me. I only barely got past Undyne the Undying. and when I won, I took a moment to sit there and just admire their bravery, and naturally amazing Determination.
Toby Fox did a really good job at making these characters, Undyne's probably my Favorite Character next to Papyrus just because of this, Undyne is definitely a warrior one could count on.

I'm not usually really into the games I play, but when I killed her I genuinely screamed "YES!" so loud that my parents came to see if I was alright XD
I will point out she DID cheat once. Of course, not to the extent of Sans, but there is one attack that catches you off guard by highlighting arrows that aren't the "next" ones.

While listening to this song I thought of all those people who are in the military, I thought of my father and how he was one of the lucky ones to have lived to come home. These people have been through hell and back to defend what they stand for. As I thought about this, and listened to this song over, and over again, I cried. Thinking of all those men and women, just wanting to go home to see their family's, their children. And, even if they do live to see their family again, the pain still doesn't end. All the mental trauma that they had to go through, and always will. Please, if you bothered to read this to the end, listen to the song again, but this time, think of it from a soldier's perspective. I hope you will be able to respect them even more than you do now. Because, no matter what side they are defending, they deserve respect and nothing less. Because, they put their life on the line for what they believe in. If that isn't courage, I don't know what it. Thank you for creating this song.

My first playthrough, Undyne was my first kill. That one hurt terribly. I remember playing through the game feeling as though the monsters I was coming across in those moments were friendly and didn't deserve violence. Undertale is a game that subverts expectations and I was semi aware of it going in because I watched an intro on YT, saw it was cheap, and decided to play spoiler free.
But the way they wrote the Undyne encounter, it felt like a natural escalation, like she would be the catalyst to either kill me or capture me, either way ending my game. I attempted to run, couldn't, and thus thought I was locked in. That scene hurt.
People who fan art undyne being cute are very wrong. SHE’S SUPPOSED TO BE A BUFF FISHY!

I usually hate- NO, I DESPISE - when people add lyrics and vocals to the soundtracks that don't really have them. I mean, I appreciate the effort and the talent, but just don't fix something that's already perfect!
THAT BEING SAID. I'm IN LOVE WITH THIS. This is a perfect case where lyrics and beautiful vocals enhance the soundtrack itself, even further emphasizing the character in question.
This is something I could easily imagine being put into a tv show or an anime in a very critical moment in the story. Beautiful.

Wonderful lyrics! Just absolutely perfect for this theme as it fits Undyne's character to a 'T'. 00:00 to 00:57 is near 10/10, your voice strong and building up with the music, honey for my ears! However, 00:58 till 01:24 sounds a bit off note, with the last sentence ' Every single DREAM they had' being the best example. From 01:25 the music is a tad too loud and drowns your voice a bit, which is a shame. I also agree with a comment from dancingwholeness that some notes are sounding flat. Yet, for someone who is doing this for fun, you are one of the better singers on UA-cam.
*I am not bashing you, just trying to help you!* I mean, I am not even allowed to criticize you since I know next to nothing about music and can't sing myself! I am just telling you my thoughts in the hope it might help you grow to be even better and go from 'great' singer to 'amazing' singer.

Don’t get hit on the first attack, if you do just restart the battle
Use the Hot pan thing
Use the cloudy glasses
Use the butterscotch pie, face steak and snowman peace’s
When he spares you heal up
Once he starts slamming you into the walls with his eye glowing you win
I really like how clear your words are. I have this Bluetooth headset and I listened to this song without carrying my phone so I don't see the lyrics. I still haven't checked the whole lyrics too. But I still understand the words. Also, your voice fits Undyne very well!

i beat undyne in my first few tries, the music was amazing to me, until i got to sans i started to smash my pc because i raged so hard, it took weeks until i beat him. i never reseted, i stayed determined.
Wow, this was really great! Radix has some pretty great lyrics for these lyrical adaptations, and you used them for a great cover! Your and Cami-Cat's vocals meshed together well and made for some good harmonies. ^.^

Coming back to this a Few Years later, The subtle references and errors in Undyne really show here, You can tell she doesn't want to do this because she knows She stands no chance against a monster like you.
"Fight with honor or Run from Danger" Was probably the things going through her brain/told to her when you stepped into Waterfall. She knew you wouldn't be killed. Even if she gave it her all, You're unstoppable.
Alphys probably wanted Undyne to run away, But that's just not Undyne's Character. Undyne sacrificed herself so Alphys and Mettaton could evacuated Hotland, she gave them plenty of time to do so too. It also gave Alphys plenty of time to Work on Mettaton NEO, Sure it didn't go that well..But it gave her a bit of time to work on it.
As the song progress, Undyne's voice becomes slightly Shaky. As time goes on, she is slowly realizing that she's Dying on the Inside and Outside.
"Real Heroes don't have to Fight." that's definitely a reference to Papyrus. It's not like he didn't know What the human was doing.
He knew exactly what they were doing the minute the dogs got murdered. Undyne wouldn't let a royal guard die without her knowing + Alphys has Cameras in Snowdin.
I'm not surprised if she Evacuated Snowdin Town either. Papyrus's Puzzles were an attempt to slow you down & to see if you were still a little bit human. As time goes on, The Normal puzzles just don't work. They gave up trying to slow you down since they probably evacuated all of Snowdin too
Undyne probably wanted Papyrus to Evacuate with everyone else, Assuming Sans 'already left' Snowdin. However, Papyrus didn't want to evacuate. He had Hope that the human...was still human. He believed you had Hope that you were a good person
Why did Undyne let Papyrus stay in Snowdin? Because she thought if anyone could change the human, it would be him.
However, we all know how that turns out..Papyrus is killed.
Knowing how close Undyne and Papyrus were, it either in-raged her or broke her. Seeing YOU, the one who killed Papyrus and almost Killed her, she felt terrible. She couldn't save Papyrus from a monster like you. However, she pushed those feelings back because she had to spare some time for Alphys and Mettaton .at the end of the Song, the emotions are let out.
She still keeps her composure, but her voice because shaky because of the people she could've save.
She knows Asgore will fall to the human. But she just can't let that happen. So she fights on for the sake of Everyone to evacuate, and for the kingdom she's in
Could be enranged and broke her. I love this perspective on this song. I loved the lyrics but I didn't particularly notice the change in voice! Nice catch! I'm here years after as well

As a war veteran, I must thank Radix for being able to speak to me at certain points and touching on how complex fighting and dealing with the consequences of walking that path can be. That of course includes thanking Jenny for being able to articulate those words into a harsh melody from a game I enjoyed and a character I admire though I never got to encounter this version of the fight. Very well done Jenny, you made a lot of really good choices and I found myself resonating a little with your song in parts of me that are not moved very often.

+Ayumi Chan Undertale is a decent game, would be better if it's fanbase wasn't so bad that it gave me stage 4 cancer. And i even grew ovaries just because no other part of my body wasn't infected with cancer.
