Mirai owners must know something the rest of us don’t, because I don’t get it. At least these kin of videos can serve as a warning to anyone considering H2 life.

I've been getting 62 a kilogram. Limited model. It's all in the foot. 298 per refill

Consistently getting 88-90 MPGe the past few tanks. 2022 XLE. Running standard tire pressure (33-35 cold), 50/50 mix of city and highway (speeds kept 65 mph and below). The weather has been fair so I avoid using the AC whenever possible. Last tank fill showed 395 miles, but my actual range is about 470-480 miles a tank.

That's really good mileage per kilogram. Just got my Mirai 2021 out the door less than the gas card.

I've been getting about 318 now. All highway miles. If I used city I'll probably get around 355.

@@notmyfaultthisishappening3795 I heard the XLE gives much more miles. 88 is insane 🔥

I visited California for the first time last summer and I remember driving on I-5 and seeing a Mirai for the first time. I knew about them before, but there's something unique about actually seeing them in person. I'm moving there permanently this summer, I'm already a bit intrigued by seeing the expansion of the EV network, looking to see just what exactly the hydrogen network looks like. I salute your dedication to such a narrow but phenomenal platform!

    LOL @ limited refueling
I thought hydrogen was supposed to be the solution for EV charge times. Wasn't that the big selling point??? 😅

Diamond Bar is an older station design and goes into limited (or offline) mode frequently. I use the Baldwin Park station and it has not gone into limited mode in over a year.

Let her get this straight. You spent over $100 for only 270 mike range? Tell me again why I should convert to fuel cell?

AC reducing range by ~9% at 266 miles, results in 242 miles of range, but at 11 miles, a 9% reduction would only cut it down to 10 miles of range with AC - but near empty the Mirai (similar to most FCEVs and BEVs) tries to conserve energy so the AC will not cool/heat as much and will draw less power, so the impact is even less likely to reduce the GoM's range indicator.
E.g. if the Mirai thinks it has 11.2 miles of range left (rounded to 11 in the display), and is trying to conserve energy as it's below some threshold so it halves the output to the AC resulting in a 4.5% range reduction instead of 9%, then that will be 10.7 miles of range left, but again rounded to 11 for the display so there doesn't appear to be a difference. I dunno if the Mirai always rounds down, or rounds to closest whole number, but same principle applies.

I have the 2021 car, this car is good everything, but the only thing is suck, is to fuel up the hydrogen, you need very patient with this car, if not, you will burn this car ASAP. 😊

Approx. 47 cents per mile (Roughly price divided by MPGe - which is almost miles per kg). Had similar creaks from my Model 3, got it fixed just under the 3 year warranty, front ball joints were seized, they replaced the front upper control arms (FUCA), not sure how much it would cost outside of warranty. Been fine for a year now. Thanks for the MPGe (and time). Weird how the buffer time jumped around on the display like that.

That device at the very top that says “webasto” is a high voltage heater. I think 11 kW.

48¢ per mile. Not cheap dare I say... For those 48¢, 15 miles on electric (home charging). Where I'm from, money talks... What is the point of this technology?

Do not put it in your glove compartment. The car is basically unstealable without it. With it, it’s good for a few joyrides…or maybe you want it stolen…hahahah
