@Rusty Shackleford - this is great enthusiasm. Loving it. I use Spotify myself more than other apps so I've had it on there playing since midnight last Thursday and I have a premium account. But in the FB group there were questions worth asking (I think from Made and also maybe Pontus himself) as to what get's counted by Spotify as a play.? Is having the Free Spotify a/c going to benefit the plays count? I hope so as not everyone will want to go premium. Also, useful to note, as was mentioned in that same chat, the FREE Spotify app on a mobile doesn't allow you to auto loop 7th Heaven (not the end of the world but nice to have) but if people download the Spotify desktop app if they have a laptop of desktop pc then in there it is possible to auto loop. :-)

A thousand views, and thumbs up are great, but if we expect to see Angelina on the charts this time, we have to stop listening to her over and over on U Tube for free, and get out there and buy her songs she works so hard to bring to us fans. It looks like Republic Records is saving their 'Big Global Promotion" for her album when it comes out. They did not even bother getting her any air time on major music radio stations for MILLION MILES. 7th heaven is a different ball game, it has something for every age group, Jazzy pop should satisfy a need for Jazz for the oldsters and pop for the young crowd, This move is a stroke of genius on her part. I can see Million Miles not going over big, because only older folks that have lost loved ones would find it relevant , but the young crowd hopefully will jump on it because it is something "cool, and catchy". I believe those might be Blue Agave cactus, not Aloe Vera. The pointy spikes on the tip of the leaves are not found on Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has more of a serrated edges to it's leaves, Tequila (Blue) Agave has sharp spikey thorns.

There's an Italian producer that's actively promoting her. He has 15M subs on IG, says he just wants to be sure she gets known. She's gonna be in demand , I've missed this quality for so long. She's gonna be as known as Celine Dion and others. All the great singers sound wonderful to listen to* but Angelina is a full body, heart, and soul experience.

The lyrics are deep, and I'm sure open to a great variety of interpretation. For me the mirror reference is interesting, especially as I have spent much time studying her book. Most of the people that follow Angelina will remember the interview with Skavlan. He commented that she didn't sound like a 12 year old, asked what she felt, she replied she only feels like a 12 year old when she looks at her passport. Perhaps today she only feels like a 15 year old when she looks in the mirror, perhaps in her mind she is ageless? When she sees the 15 year old looking back at her, I trust that she is content with what she has become so far, that she has retained her high principles. When I look into the mirror, I see an old man looking back at me, I wonder, who is this? Did this person achieve anything worthwhile? I live in hope that I can love the person that I have become - trying to live in the moment, no point in bitterness and sadness!

She’s staying true to her early influences like Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Amy Winehouse. There's no mistaking the artist singing this song. Angie has forged a unique style and sound over many years, regardless of the genre, regardless of the song. It's her! I can't wait to see a live performance of this, and also so many of her greatest to come. Angie's my daily dosage since I found this treasure in 2015. @@Pontus-Osterlin It is currently not on the chart. It charted as high as 46 in Sweden on the first 2 days of release. It also charted in Australia and Germany but I don’t recall what position. On the USA charts currently it is # 19 on the top new pop songs and # 196 on the overall pop charts. Angelina’s album “It’s Magic” is currently # 44 on the top Jazz albums chart. Many singles from that album have been charting almost every week since its release. I’m in Sweden and I haven’t heard it on any radio station so far. All of this is achieved without any series promotion. Having some insights on how the music labels operate, I commented on many sites after she was signed by Republic Records that I did not expect Republic records to start promoting her until her full album is ready to be released in the spring or early summer of 2021. It doesn’t make much sense for Republic Records to heavily promote an artist with only 2 songs under their label. If we take a step back and remember, she just turned 15 and time is on her side as much as I and many other fans want to see her on top of the charts now.

I'm beginning to think that Angelina & her team, as well as Republic Records, aren't going to put the big push on until sometime this summer. It's still too early for concerts & Angelina is still in school. We all know her Mom, Sara, has "hit the brakes" for years when it involves school. Hopefully her album will come out this summer & that's when I think the promotion gates will open & Angelina will go viral again. That's my take!
I agree with you. Maybe this summer is better timing for a big push. I don't think Republic Records are a bunch of amateurs. They know what they have with Angelina and want to do it right. I was a little surprised when uncle Michael made an appeal for fan groups to request their local radio stations to give 7th Heaven air time and also add it to Spotify playlists. I don't recall this happening with Million Miles. Hopefully, things are unfolding as they should. There is no race to fame. The only thing that matters to me is Angelina. Is she comfortable with what's happening. Is she ready?

Actually is 4th, just check it. Very little radio time if any & that's anywhere. Her last single was promoted for about 2 days & had only a couple of spins on the radio in only a couple of countries. She's in only 6 countries 2 being Nordic. I know that RR has hidden agendas a lot with certain artist (& ways to make money & try & get the young artist to believe in the company's propaganda etc) They take some of their money & give to certain ideologies that they support & most of the people they have contracts with believe in the company's rhetoric.) I feel they're just using her. They's say what ever just to further their agenda. That's my pov.

A lot of people have a similar reaction to the first beats and when she starts to sing. Like, what song does that remind me of. And one reactor nailed it, by noticing it sounds like "Fever" by Peggy Lee.
Since that song is a bluesy cool jazz, all it needs is a minimalist arrangement (fingers snapps and a boosted bass) and the awesome vocal effects of Angelina, a modern queen of jazz. The aloe vera plant surrounding her on the poster is, to me, a subliminal reminder of the benefits of her music in our troubled viral lives: it is therapeutic. A thousand views, and thumbs up are great, but if we expect to see Angelina on the charts this time, we have to stop listening to her over and over on U Tube for free, and get out there and buy her songs she works so hard to bring to us fans. It looks like Republic Records is saving their 'Big Global Promotion" for her album when it comes out. They did not even bother getting her any air time on major music radio stations for MILLION MILES. 7th heaven is a different ball game, it has something for every age group, Jazzy pop should satisfy a need for Jazz for the oldsters and pop for the young crowd, This move is a stroke of genius on her part. I cannot wait for the album, it could be a chart buster, and make Angelina Jordan a household name.

I can see Million Miles not going over big, because only older folks that have lost loved ones would find it relevant , but the young crowd hopefully will jump on it because it is something "cool, and catchy". I think Angelina would give up singing and become a super model, or write poetry before she would desert her fan base who do not want to see her go the mainstream Pop only route.

I believe those might be Blue Agave cactus, not Aloe Vera. The pointy spikes on the tip of the leaves are not found on Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has more of a serrated edges to it's leaves, Tequila (Blue) Agave has sharp spikey thorns.

There's an Italian producer that's actively promoting her. He has 15M subs on IG, says he just wants to be sure she gets known. She's gonna be in demand , I've missed this quality for so long. She's gonna be as known as Celine Dion and others. All the great singers sound wonderful to listen to* but Angelina is a full body, heart, and soul experience.
I heard that same story in a chat room yesterday, so I'm really excited to hear it reiterated from another source. That's the kind of promotion that can really make a difference.

The lyrics are deep, and I'm sure open to a great variety of interpretation. For me the mirror reference is interesting, especially as I have spent much time studying her book. Most of the people that follow Angelina will remember the interview with Skavlan. He commented that she didn't sound like a 12 year old, asked what she felt, she replied she only feels like a 12 year old when she looks at her passport. Perhaps today she only feels like a 15 year old when she looks in the mirror, perhaps in her mind she is ageless? When she sees the 15 year old looking back at her, I trust that she is content with what she has become so far, that she has retained her high principles.
When I look into the mirror, I see an old man looking back at me, I wonder, who is this? Did this person achieve anything worthwhile? I live in hope that I can love the person that I have become - trying to live in the moment, no point in bitterness and sadness!

I’m not sure if the song has been played on any radio stations in Norway but since its release it has and still is # 1 on Norway’s iTunes chart.
@David Touma Yes I heard! I have tried to see what place 7th Heaven has here in Sweden, but failed to find it.
@@Pontus-Osterlin It is currently not on the chart. It charted as high as 46 in Sweden on the first 2 days of release. It also charted in Australia and Germany but I don’t recall what position.
On the USA charts currently it is # 19 on the top new pop songs and # 196 on the overall pop charts.
Angelina’s album “It’s Magic” is currently # 44 on the top Jazz albums chart. Many singles from that album have been charting almost every week since its release.
I’m in Sweden and I haven’t heard it on any radio station so far.
All of this is achieved without any series promotion.
Having some insights on how the music labels operate, I commented on many sites after she was signed by Republic Records that I did not expect Republic records to start promoting her until her full album is ready to be released in the spring or early summer of 2021. It doesn’t make much sense for Republic Records to heavily promote an artist with only 2 songs under their label.
If we take a step back and remember, she just turned 15 and time is on her side as much as I and many other fans want to see her on top of the charts now.

I'm beginning to think that Angelina & her team, as well as Republic Records, aren't going to put the big push on until sometime this summer. It's still too early for concerts & Angelina is still in school. We all know her Mom, Sara, has "hit the brakes" for years when it involves school. Hopefully her album will come out this summer & that's when I think the promotion gates will open & Angelina will go viral again. That's my take!

I agree with you. Maybe this summer is better timing for a big push. I don't think Republic Records are a bunch of amateurs. They know what they have with Angelina and want to do it right. I was a little surprised when uncle Michael made an appeal for fan groups to request their local radio stations to give 7th Heaven air time and also add it to Spotify playlists. I don't recall this happening with Million Miles. Hopefully, things are unfolding as they should. There is no race to fame. The only thing that matters to me is Angelina. Is she comfortable with what's happening. Is she ready?

Actually is 4th, just check it. Very little radio time if any & that's anywhere. Her last single was promoted for about 2 days & had only a couple of spins on the radio in only a couple of countries. She's in only 6 countries 2 being Nordic. I know that RR has hidden agendas a lot with certain artist (& ways to make money & try & get the young artist to believe in the company's propaganda etc) They take some of their money & give to certain ideologies that they support & most of the people they have contracts with believe in the company's rhetoric.) I feel they're just using her. They's say what ever just to further their agenda. That's my pov.

Pontus, Angelina incorporated jazz, blues and pop in this song. She created her own genre. I’ll call it the Angelina affect. The cover photo demonstrates Angelina’s evolving beauty as a person and as an artist. I enjoyed the overlays with Angelina doing all of the vocal work. When I looked at Angelina's picture and showed it to my wife, she said: “The three roses, aren't they the Masons' roses?” At first I didn't notice, but afterwards I felt like scales from my eyes . The Freemasons also have these roses as a distinguishing mark! I don't know if it just happened that way, ok, but what if it happened on purpose? @@Pontus-Osterlin, Me too! I'm wondering if they will use back up singers to achieve that overlay that is in this recording, or if they might film Angelina singing both and overlay them in a video? It will definitely need back up singers for a concert, but that is down the road a bit.

Since that song is a bluesy cool jazz, all it needs is a minimalist arrangement (fingers snapps and a boosted bass) and the awesome vocal effects of Angelina, a modern queen of jazz.
The aloe vera plant surrounding her on the poster is, to me, a subliminal reminder of the benefits of her music in our troubled viral lives: it is therapeutic.
The lyrics on the screen: that is so precious of a tool for the full appreciation and understanding of the song.
