I loved it when they referenced this form in Jack's Tekken Tag 2 ending, nice little callback (Edit: just double checked and it's actually Tekken 6, my bad)
It's because you're not meant to play as the sub-bosses in this version of the game, therefore no sub-boss character is programmed in for when you play as the bosses.
Don't get me wrong I like his current design but this bizarre mishmash of parts is a lot more in line with what I think a prototype of a killing machine would look like.
I think from what I remember in the Story Prototype Jack upgraded himself before Tekken 2 after Jack-1 wrecked him in Tekken 1 which is why he looks different.
@@osooyabun2701 Yeah, the mid-late 90s was the awkward 3D era. But being a kid that was mostly accustomed to 2D art and seeing 3D stuff in this time period looked realistic to me back then.
so something i've noticed in your tekken vids like this, the sub-bosses are mostly copies of their original character but it seems like they have Paul's Hammer Punch as an addition, can someone explain to me why that specific move if it's possible? just hoping for some random knowledge
This version of him is due for a comeback, he looks so bizarre.

Interesting how Jack is the Stage 1 opponent, usually the sub-bosses play their regular opponents in Stage 8 (or vice-versa)

This right here. Yeah, I definetly think this looks more like a "prototype." His later design is just jack but silver, which seems a bit lazy..

Just imagine this monstrosity being the Final Boss of Jack 7’s Arcade Mode instead of King
I love how delightfully weird this version is, versus the Arnie meme fusion he'd later become.
P. JACK
This game is still better than Tekken 7 and Tekken 6. Playing this after work
I think I prefer the more "conserved" gameplay of the earlier Tekken games. Tekken 3 and 5 got it pretty much spot-on.

This design used to scare the uncanny valley out of me as a kid!
This game’s character mugshots are complete wack. Very uncanny valley and creepy
It was the 90s everything was wacky
They had a very small budget for the game.

I like the fact that Venice made a comeback in Soulcalibur I...
Prototype has come a long way since then.
This is has to be the most complete bosshack I've seen for the Tekken games.
He should be called the Junkinator.
It's the drill sound effects in his win pose for me.
