I appreciate the thoughtfulness and consideration you are doing around sponsorships. My 2cents - don’t beat yourself up about it aka over think it. If you love a product or company, let them sponsor you in a way that you feel ok with. Eg $$ to spend on tools or tools themselves sounds great. Be open about it but keep your editorial independence and hopefully you feel good about it.
I love your channel. And I also love who you are! You are a caring, detail oriented, humble, true to his word and have a true sense of integrity!!! I think you have a BIG lathe coming in. But if it is not, then I would be inclined to put a bet on a boring mill, unless you already have one as I am not sure!LOL. Always looking forward to your next video production Sir! Thanks for sharing. God Bless. WWG1WGA
2/17/24; 8:45 am PST Ok, listen up SnapOn, Starrett, Mitutoyo and the companies Kyle mentioned, why not put some of your promotional funding behind Vanover? Kyle is the real deal-skilled, honest, straight forward, and very likable. He’s got 26,000 subscribers now, but that is likely to skyrocket! Some of us in UA-cam Land want to not only learn and improve skills, but also learn the highs and lows of starting a machining business. I’ve found no better instructor than Kyle/Vanover.
Hey, thanks for the update. I think most people are aware that sponsorships are necessary for UA-cam success in 2024. It's not a bad word. In theory it's the perfect way to communicate a good product, but it's been ruined by all the clowns out there. A sponsorship that is for a product that you actually use and like, and solves a real problem, is a win for everyone as long as it's properly disclosed. When it goes wrong is when a product shows up in a video, without a word being said. Was it given to them, or did they research it and buy it themselves? I do find myself asking that a lot in certain circumstances. It's doubly bad when you can tell that the person behind the camera is also reciting the talking points that the sponsor wants. Triply bad when they pretend to have familiarity with the product and its features (because they were bullet points in an email) but are really only unboxing it now and haven't actually put the thing through its paces to know if it's worth a damn or if those features are complete fluff. Anyway, that's way too many words to say this: Sponsorships are fine, as long as they are disclosed, and they are for good products.
We talked briefly at the auction open house. Unless you're talking about another auction I'm going to guess you bought one of the huge manual boring or jig mills they had. If that's the case I'm surprised you're only paying 10x the cost to move it. Whether I'm correct or not, congrats on the purchase and good luck! Looking forward to the videos.
@@VanoverMachineAndRepair No idea what was going on with that auction but almost everything went for way higher than normal. We ended up not purchasing anything either.
Good Talk keep up the good work also hope you can do videos once a week also hope you don't go CNC and if you do i hope you create a new video for cnc only . I'm sure the automotive part is paying bills and for me if you get a auto job that needs machine work more than surfacing a head that would make a good video . Well its your show and thanks for having us along . I'm a retired heavy equipment mechanic and love fabricating and one off jobs . Thanks again JM
Don’t worry it’s not cnc. At some point I would like to get a CNC machine but it’s far in the future. I also think CNC content is extremely boring to watch so if I did get one not sure how much i would show.
Very exciting. I bet you got a CNC machine on the way. I don’t have a Biax but just finished a Milwaukee Sawzall modified power scraper on my channel. Cost me $35 bucks lol.
For why you would need a mag drill yhat can do 2 3/8, clearance holes for 2 1/4 studs in the field, or stud removal. I've got had to remove some 3.5 Inch studs at a steel mill, as an example.
I have a Hougen, actually caught the big V Chinese company using thier video ad,and turned them into Hougen, and they were so nice and sent me a nice hat and some swag. I have a 900,will be getting a 904 after I pay off my taxes to the extortionist at the irs😂. congrats on the subscribers! I finally broke 200 after 7 years, but not as committed as most serious channels. can't wait to see what your channel brings.good luck.
Awesome. Every subscribed content creator that turns into an infomercial either gets a consistent thumbs down or an instant unsubscribe. Stay focused on your objectives.

Hey good taking to you. No it was a different auction. It was pretty pricey at that auction I did not win anything I bid on.

Awesome you got hooked up with KBC tools. I have been trying to get them to send me one of their banners to hang in my shop with no avail.
