I have a LoMax trifold. It's a nice cover. It did develop a leak (the part that covers the hinges was delaminating). I called them, and they shipped out a replacement cover at no cost to me under warranty. They stand by their product!
Lots of covers. The Bakflip is another great one if you need every inch of internal bed space.
I've had an access adarack on my truck for about 2 years now and love it. Went with it because it was basically the only one that would work with a bed cover

@@benflyt9827 I sold the truck recently but im pretty sure the load limit was 500lbs evenly distributed. Never had any issues with a bunch of ladders or lumber so I think a roof top tent would work no problem.

@@benflyt9827 it probably has a higher weight limit when not in motion, but i didnt know when i had it. For example, my current cap on my ranger is rated 330lbs while in motion, but 700 when stopped.
Nice cover. When I chose a cover, I hadn't decided on a fifth wheel on bumper pull. I went with a Tonneau Power Trap Pro. Key fob open/close rollup. Powder coated black aluminum that has a 500 pound load limit. My wife loves it.

Oh man, thank you for the loud noise warning, I’m usually listening with headphones and while that wasn’t too loud I’ve previously been painfully deafened by videos with just bad audio levelling or “prank” screaming videos. Really appreciate that.

@@seminolewind1999 I love it! The Lomax cover works great and is on the truck all the time. I have taken it from GA to Grand Canyon and back. The Adarac works great for our Kayaks. I can get the Adaracs on and loaded with kayaks in about 20 minutes now that I am used to it. I am happy with the purchase.
Hello there Big Truck. So we have finally done it! We have both retired and sold our home! We are building in Florida, but will not be done till late April early May. So in the meantime we are traveling with our travel trailer! Right now we are in Louisiana! At a brewery called Bayou Teche , that has great craft beers and let’s you stay one night in your RV! Tomorrow we are off to your home state of Texas, for a night at the Texas Air Museum in San Antonio! For one night. Then we have a longer stay at a place called Matagorda Bay Nature and RV Park. From there I hope to explore as much of the beautiful Texas Golf Coast as possible in two weeks! After that we plan on heading north east a bit to The Smokey Mountains of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas, before heading back to our New Home state of Florida! Cover looks decent. I know many are, but I'm not a fan of the finish. I personally chose the Bakflip F1 for my truck. Absolutely AWESOME cover! And I can have full access to my bed at any time (and drive with it open). Also, I can close my tailgate with the cover open or closed (i.e., don't need to open the cover every time I open my tailgate in order to get it to seal correctly). Also, it's made of fiberglass reinforced polymer. VERY durable and can hold up to 400 lbs on it. Worth a look.

I got a retrax and except for the fact that I need to figure out how to make it watertight in the front, my wife and I love that cover.
Well that sucks for us, man what a nice cover. I'm running an 8' bed as well with a B&W fifth wheel hitch. Let me know if the manufacture hears us and the fifth wheel world- we are seeking a bed cover like this.
Check out the Retrax Pro in both automatic or manual operation. The top of the Retrax holds 500lbs so you and a friend can stand on it to wipe off the roof of your truck. It's very 5th wheel friendly and can be locked into any position on your bed I love mine (manual operation.)

Dang that is nice. Reminds me of my old DiamondBack cover that wasn't as low profile but could put two atv's on it. I still think I'm gonna go with a Retrax cover for my next one.
My rollbak was a lower profile and it rolled in the front, best design in my opinion. But this does look like a kick ass cover.

Amazing... I just had the DEF unit heater replaced by warranty on the F250... Guess we are just getting used to using and fixing the DEF...I feel like I'm lending a a deaf-ear to this... lol

I like this combo, but wish they offered shorter supports for a roof top tent. I don’t want it way above the truck cab. I have a universal rack that does that just fine for longer items, but it creates a lot of drag and high center of gravity off road.

I just put a Pace Edwards Jackrabbit retractable bedcover on my new 2018 Ram 3500 dually yesterday. I've been using Bakflips for years, but with the wide hips of the dually, I dint want to mess with trying to fold them up. I tow a 5th wheel (exact same as yours but the Phenix version) and the Bakflip worked on my old Mega cab. I plan on using the new Jackrabbit with my 5th wheel as well. Working looking into. Wasn't but around $100 or so more than the Bakflip for an 8' bed.

So I had a tailgate latch failure on the 4 year old truck I just traded in. I had a Diamond Back Cover on that truck.. Tailgate latch failure not really an issue, I was seriously going to change to a Trifold cover, until I realized if I had another run of bad luck with this cover on my new Ram like I did with my Titan and the tri fold cover was on and latched and there was something in back of truck I would have to borrow a crowbar if I was lucky enough to find anyone around with one.. or carry one inside cab with me.. I will call and ask Lomax, I already tried another company and they said they get the call a lot of people with failed tailgate latches..

Nice looking rack. I sure love my DiamondBackCovers.com the light duty cover holds 400lbs and the HD model holds 1600lbs.
M. Forest Shipps: I agree that diamond back makes great rugged covers that can support a tremendous amount of weight. Problem is that they are not easily removed and light weight for when you need your full bed. The Lomax can be removed in 5mins in the event you tow a fifth wheel and want to pull it out. Huge fan of Diamond back though. Just not practical for those who need to get the cover in and out of their truck often.
I don't like it plus the upright parts don't look like they are Anodized, which is electricity conducted in lighting storms. Diamond Back is far more rugged with 1600 load bearing and options to get it done in Black.
Stephen Bradley Yes I agree Stephen Diamond back and Aluminum bed cover is a far superior better I would love to see a review of that and the fact you can hold two ATVs on it for a side-by-side is amazing and security is some of the best on the market. When I get my new Dodge 3500 long bed putting a Diamond bank bed cover on it.

Nice cover. I put a Pace Edwards electric roll up on mine with the explorer rails. You can purchase ladder racks and cargo holders that mount on it. I've got a video of mine on my utube here.

And why would you not be able to tow a fifth wheeler with that bed cover?
Both together make a nice combination. I don't need a rack though so I use the retrax bed cover for my truck. Key locked and I don't get much water into my bed either. the box for where the cover rolls into does require drains though, but those went through the plastic grommits at the front of the bed so no drilling required there. The one big downside to the retrax is the inability to hold up any item you might put on top temporarily. Not much weight carrying capacity.
What’s your thoughts on the peragon truck cover? It appears to be fifth wheel friendly but I’m concerned about the mounting hardware interference.
Kinda surprised that guy dropped off the truck and flew back home for what seems is a really user friendly and quick install. I'm guessing he had more work done than what we saw? Otherwise... must be nice to have that kind of disposable income lol. Great video! Love that cover! Love your channel!

I really hate the look of diamond plating, so it'd be a big no for me. But, to each their own.
I would think there would be a problem with sunlight reflection into the rear window when the aluminum is new, shiny and not dulled out from exposure to the weather and elements. Is this truly a problem? I think the cover would be beneficial in some applications and a hindrance in others.
Most back windows are tinted and we all wear sunglasses, thus not a problem most of the day.

what do you think about retractable covers? looking at several but here in FL I need ot yo be dry and resist heat/sun damage as well. I like the benefits of them but they do cost alot more than a hard top flip up.
Nope, my BakFlip VIP sits lower than that one..."perfectly flush" with top of bed walls...does have rain drains too that I didn't have to drill holes for...bed has holes already....2016 F250
Nice cover, but I don't care for the high rails on it. I have a fold-a-cover for my F150 and because it is a 4 fold cover it folds up close to the cab so I can use my fifth wheel without having to take it off.
They have obviously never seen a diamond back truck cover, diamond back is the best bed cover, never a drop of water in my bed, 1600 lbs cargo capacity on top of the cover

I’ve always wondered that your personal stance is with deleting the def in modern day diesels. There’s information out there stating that it can save the trucks engine in the long run? Gives you more power? Less soot build up?
So how are you supposed to strap down your load on that rack? Seems odd they didn't provide eyelets to fit in that slot so you could move them around or at least some punched out holes in the uprights.
Agreed where the heck are the tie down/ ratchet strap hooks??

I have had a Bakflip F1 for about 5 months. Very well made but it has drawbacks. Leaks more than I would want. The hinges between the panels leak. If you park on an incline I feel the drain tubes are overwhelmed in a heavy rain The prop rods to hold it in place when you need the whole bed are flimsy. I like the latch system although if a thief wanted in there are videos on UA-cam on how to easily break in. It fits very well and is probably lower profile than the one in this video. Very nice glossy texture that looks brand new still. My Extang Fulltilt it replaced was pretty much leak proof but obviously not very secure. Overall I would not buy another Bakflip F1. I value weather protection so I would get a solid tilting cover.
What do you think of Peragon tonneau covers? I see very few people talk about them or even know who they are but I think they are made in the USA and it’s aluminum aswell. Just want to here some input on them.

Nice looking setup. Cost? Pulling the plates up from the underneath with a cord strikes me as a generally slick diy trick to remember the next time I'm cussin' and fussin' trying to fish something like that. Company truck I drove for years had the BakFlip installed and I loved it. When time comes, I'm putting one on my F150.
Call you stand on the cover or can you put material or appliances on top of it? I want to incorporate a slide out truck bed draw the width and length of the bed for access to my tools and golf clubs. I want to put long material (lumber, carpet etc.) on the rack, drywall, plywood, dishwasher, stove on the cover and lock my tools and golf clubs in the bed.
Any reports if that rack has alot of wind noise? I like it.

an all black truck with a bunch of aluminum and chrome on the bed... not my taste. I think given the choice I would go with a black finish cover over the diamond.
I don't like it either, I need a low profile, lockable cover that gives me the capability of the bed for towing but stays dry enough to throw luggage in the bed for family trips.
