See this is how to help kids get flexible. No screaming, no over stretching, no yelling just encouraging and they put their body through the exercise to the limit they can reach. Nice to see a healthy way to help ballerina reach their flexibility potential.
Facts, this the healthy way of training, not forcing turnout or flexibility just teaching to push yourself and work hard to make progress
He also uses humor - which keeps the kids lighthearted AND serious at the same time.
YOU CAN TELL HE IS A DAD!
Great job Slavomir! We love you!
Seriously, big kudos to him🙌
I always see those extreme stretching Chinese videos of ballet and how almost every single one of the kids were having mental breakdowns, and not ONCE did their trainers encouraged them (I know because I speak Chinese). Yet what baffles me is how half of the people in the comment sections were claim that it was okay and you need to sometimes put CHILDREN through "pain dan hardships" so they'll "become brighter"
@@xxecxx_ljx8372 Unfortunately education by trauma is still widely practiced all over the world.
"Gracie good job" pans to the cutest, sweetest little munchkin 😭😭😭😍
Actually Gracie is the older ballerina, before the little one. If you listen again, he says about her being so tall. I'm taking a guess that she was probably there to help in some capacity.
No Gracie is actually the kid that was next to the tall dancer , why? Cuz all of the dancers are kids and the tall dancer is definitely not a kid , plus he was just joking with her @@nancyt.7134
(Yt istg don't delete the comment or hide it pls)
@@nancyt.7134 No I'm pretty sure the older ballerina is Tessa...the tiny child is Gracie
@@theonabailey7646i thought it was amber haha, but yeah the little one is gracie- he was joking
The teacher: “Anybody in pain yet?”
The dancers: “yes”
The teacher: “good for you” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm nowhere near what ballerinas do with their body, but I've just started taking horse riding lessons again, now that I have the means to do it. And I can sense the burn in my body, where muscles are getting a workout, but I love it because it means I'm working with the horse and training my body.
P S.: at the moment of this comment, I just came out of a several months long hiatus on physical exercise because of various reasons. Feeling that I need to be more fit to ride better, and be a better rider for the horse who is carrying me, only encourages me to work out more in general.
The height difference with Gracie though 💀💀💀
Adorable 😭 I hope they don't put too much pressure on her ankles
“No Harper the other leg”
“No the other left leg”
He asked her once and she was confused, so he clarified. You can see more Slawomir (instructor) at evanysphotography on youtube
@@user-EMM366 she didn't switch twice when he said it the first time she switched arms not legs
He's such a great teacher he teaches them proper technique and is very serious about it but also incredibly caring and makes it fun for his students
When he said "so tall" to Gracie i started laughing so hard even though I'm a shorty💀
Edit: MOM I'M FAMOUS👍👍👍👍💅💅💅💅
Lmfao I’m permanently 4’11, I always feel like Gracie compared to everyone around me
I love that he's down to earth enough to teach the babies
I do love his charisma. He’s stern and strict but not abrasive or cruel.
He’s not wet linguine however, he’s no iron fist either.
Great teacher, and we see the results,
I had a teacher like that and I loved her so much! We all danced better when she corrected us. when she told you it was good, it was GOOD!
Lol. I love this teacher. "Hold the left leg."
"...the othet left leg." Lol
I love he knows everyone's names and gives out compliments as well as instructions
The “good for you” like if you’re in pain you aren’t doing it right
At risk of being too real in the UA-cam comments I'd say there's a fine line there. Kids often conflate being uncomfortable for any duration of time as pain and so in that regard, yeah they need to be "in pain". But no it shouldn't actually hurt nor should they be pushed through real pain
@@starrylane5071that’s so true, kids tend to not be able to articulate tension and pain
@@starrylane5071this!!!! I always have to try and explain to my younger dancers that stretching and the road to increasing our flexibility may sometimes be a new and uncomfortable one, that they may feel things in their body they never felt before, but that it should never HURT. For the real little ones we call it "stretchy ouch" or "REAL ouch" lmao
Well I did artistic gymnastics for 10 years, and when you are practicing flexibility and technique there is a good “pain”. Is a discomfort showing you are working the right muscles. Ofc, teachers should keep an eye on pain over wrong movements. But, here I can see what he means, they are stretching they need to feel that discomfort. It’s like the sore you feel after a good gym day.
He's definitely in his element!!! So cute!!!! 💛🌹
I like this guy. He's not too rough on the kids, and he makes it fun.
"Gracie, good job. So tall..."
Pans to smol Gracie 😍 😂
so cute
“Gracie, good job… she is so tall” he is SO funny.
Future Ambers, Mayas, Melanies, Tessas, Delaneys, Marissas, Lila Roses, Bellas, Channings, Audreys, Cruzes, and Leonidases in that room. 😊

I think they meant to say that they're going to be the ones featured in these videos in the future, just like our Maya, Melanie, Leo, etc.
Why does he lowkey sound like gru during the “look at the girl. She is awesome. Gracie, good job.”
When he said “she’s so tall” I absolutely lost it!🤣 the delivery😂
Aw, Gracie is the tallest kid in the room! She’s going to be a very successful ballet dancer!😊😊😊
Calf raises are my worst ENEMY whenever we do them in Ballet and Jazz😭 My calfs cramp up after them😂
Mine too, especially after doing a jillion of them. I found that doing a few minutes of varied ankle-foot rotations and flexes (seated on the floor or a chair and standing at the bar) before and after stops/lessens the cramping. Be sure to keep your leg warmers on as long as you can too.
“This is ballet shoulders down” felt so real-
Proof that a coach can be nice to their dancers and the dancers can still turn out incredible.
omg so many babies of color!! i’m so happy to see ballet slowly but surely becoming more inclusive
so many baby boys too, it’s so epic tbh
@@blackberrylipstickbecause ballet still has a bias towards white people. It’s a sport that majority white people do, so much so that even after people of various skin tones are professionally doing ballet, they still have to dye or put makeup on their ballet shoes to make them match their skin tone as the normal pointe short still is for white woman. Also it’s important for people to see people like them in different professions; representation matters
@@blackberrylipsticksociety made it about race, so now we need to acknowledge and encourage the diversity in previously very racist areas of life. People like you add nothing to the conversation because you should already know the answer to your question
@@sarahwenger4479It’s a European dance form. Do you expect traditional African dance styles to be diverse, too? It’s amazing no one ever calls for more diversity in basketball enough though one race is massively overrepresented.
Ballet desperately needs more boys!!! My daughter is in ballet and there’s one boy in the whole company!!
"Gracie good job!"
"She's so tall 🥰"
That line was the funniest yet the cutest scene I've seen so far 😂❤️
“good for you 😁” had me dying 😂
Him "Gracie good job"
*pans to Gracie "
Him" shes so tall"
Me(literally screaming) OMG SHE IS SO TIIINNYYYYYYY!!!
FINALLY! An actual ballet teacher who doesn’t practically FORCE your flexibility! (By FORCE I mean: Pushing a part of your body or just you in general up/down and/or holding you in place for FAR too long where the pain is literally UNBEARABLE!) Just encouraging, complimenting, and fixing small mistakes! NOT yelling the absolute SHIT out of you AND insulting you! Love Slawomir and his jokes! 🫶🏼🥰
Charming and kind teacher.
“The other left leg” had me in tears!!!
Gracie’s SO CUTE 😭 That little expression like “yeah, I am pretty great, now that I think about it ☺️”
"Gracie good job"
"Your so tall"
I LOVE IT❤
It isnt pain its a sensation.
"Anybody in pain yet?"
*Multiple yesses*
"Good for you! ☺️"
And then there's the mini one... 😭💖
"the other left leg"
"she's so tall"
😂
THE OTHER LEFT LEG IS SO REAL MY OLD ICE SKATING TEACHER WOULD DO THAT WITH THE YOUNGER KIDS like "Right hand out...no the other right hand"
The atmosphere in this studio seems so nice and encouraging ☺️
“ gracie good job… she’s so tall . “
"Anybody in pain yet? Good for you"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He cracks me up
Does he actually know how funny he is???😂
"Look at that girl. She's awesome!" THAT'S a big compliment
Gracie ate that up 😭 go Gracie
When he adjusted the one girls shoulders the girl next to her fixed hers too. That's a good dancer👌👌(I'm sure there all lovely dancers btw, I just noticed the one girl)
That boy is beautiful 😍😍
Gracie casually eating it up in the corner 😂
The pain is real, mind over reality. But dancers should also know that they don't need to suffer in real life outside the studio. If anyone or anything else in real life is causing them pain, they can walk away.
I could never be able to emotionally handle a guy criticizing my every move. These kids are strong
I teach dance to kids and I can confirm I’m constantly telling them, “No, the other leg. The other left leg”
The fact that youre probably having fun doing this. The whole experience and then the results and being proud of yourself and the people you love being proud of you just makes the pain worth it
More pls! I enjoy seeing this babies making such amazing efforts!❤
My favorite part was panning over to Gracie’s adorebale little proud face. 😅🥰
This is so cuuutteee
Omg this was the cutest thing ever to watch 🥲 They’re doing an amazing job. ❤
This has to be a ballet teacher thing because my teacher always says the other blank leg. All my other dance teachers just say switch feet.😅😂
"Shaena your other left" oh god the flashbacks 😅
This is so great to see!
If I had encouraging dance instructors instead of the discouraging and downright mean ones I had, I may have even stuck with dance…I did ballet, jazz, and was in the beginning stages of tap when I left.
I did dance for 11 years (ages 3-14)
There were no other instructors/teachers that I could bike to in my city. If there were, who knows where I’d be right now.
I paid for my own dance once I turned 10 and had to bike to the studio even if it was raining.
I look back now, I’m soon to be 30, with fondness toward the art of each style but with a bit of melancholy.
I wish all the dancers the best of experiences and, from the theater world, break a leg!
Turnout doesn't come from the foot
Love watching him teaching class❤❤❤
Aw this is sweet I remember learning classical Indian dance as a kid and I would cry while holding my poses LOL not great then but I realised how it help me have a stronger physical and mental strength
Wow I've been regretting all of my life that I refused to go to the ballet class when my mum took me there. I love your videos ❤
"Good for you. STRETCH IT!"
Yes! Ten years of this is what produces a ballerina. Discipline and obedience to strict practice..reminds me of my childhood learning to dance.
Every time I do barre work my feet cramp
Same. When I was actively competing/training it didn’t matter how much I worked over however many years I did it, pointing my feet as hard as I could like you’re supposed too resulted in my toes cramping up
Mine did, too, right in the arches, until I started wearing barefoot shoes (or well-fitting shoes) regularly and doing foot strengthening exercises.
Girl: **Pain**
Boy: **More pain**
Teacher (Probably Pain): Know pain
Such discipline.
Amazing to watch.
Ich tanze selber und es ist manchmal sehr schmerzhaft und schwer aber meistens lohnt es sich den Schmerz zu ertragen
I like this man
Good energy
More of the littles plzzz this is too cute
I’m never this early!!! This is so cute and fun to watch but IK I could NEVER do this 😂❤❤
"anybody in pian yet, good" is the the most ballet thing I've ever heard
Gracie was adorable.
I wish my ballet school was like this. Best teacher!
My ballet teacher says the other left leg too!!!
His shoes 👀🫢
I love watching him teach these little ones!
As a Ballerina, I can tell you the pain is real 😭
i want a ballet teacher as nice as this
When Slawomir said the other left leg I DIED
this man has the voice of bang chan from stray kids
Omg now I can't unhear it xD The voice is a little different, but the way of speaking is almost the same
Two boys in the class. Good for them.
The little girl gracie/grace used to go to my dance studio! She is such an excellent dancer and she is so sweet! We all love her and wish she hadn’t moved! ❤ But she has gone on to such wonderful opportunities with her new dance studio🎉❤
Bless these young, disciplined artist.
Ur other left leg killed me XD
I do taekwondo and I'm glad other teachers use "the other left leg" as much as we do 😂
Gracie is the absolute cutest!
"Słuchajcie" so proud that he is from our country(Poland)
The other left leg has never been more accurate
It's Harper's face for me
Это удивительно- Вы работаете и с детьми!!!?❤ спасибо Вам за Ваш труд, успехов
Pretty epic rap tbh, straight-knees-turn-out-rele-vé-TURN OUT 💃🏻
Pls more videos of the teacher and little ballerinas, they’re so adorable 😭❤️
The "good for you" is me anytime someone says they are in pain 😂😂😂 I blame my dance instructor 😂😂😂
Boy ballet teacher is funny lol😂😂😂😂 I

Class) " Yes 😢"
Teach) " Good 👍 For 😄 You 😜"
" Stretch 🧘♀️ It 😁 "
"the other left leg" 😭😂
That's wat my ballet teacher says too it's not really a joke he was telling the kid that it should be the other leg😅
i swear every dance teacher uses those words 😭
I've been told things like that so much in dance and theatre cause my brain decides to not work the worst moments 😭
Yup! Dance teacher here! Forever my favorite phrase to use in and out of the studio 😅
Bro my dance teacher says that too. And then my stupid mind doesnt work right and i mess up 😅😅
