i love your voice and the way of explaining ...... yes ,i agree with you everyone works hard in life so it is totally worth it to fulfil our dream .then we don't see the price of things because it is the prize of our hardships.
Dont bash me for this comment .. but its really not worth of 1.8 lac .. this is satin silk saree and not handwoven in benaras the same design and fabric you will get in 20 - 25 k .. i agree the marodi work on saree is hand done... However in chandni chowk this marodi work on entire saree can be done within maximum 15-20 k ... So your sabyasachi saree could get ready within 50 k ... This is for brides who want the same thing but not by paying 1.8 lac .. ..its just to get all this done you would need atleast 2 months in hand because marodi work takes time.. also my humble request .. in 1.8 lac one could go to benaras and ask the weavers to make highest quality weave of kaduwa with pure gold zari and handwoven which would have benefitted the weavers directly.. hope this helps
Totally agree with u....weddings have become huge business n Shoo shaa....without the core concept n bond of love n togetherness is lacking...I feel parents are overtly burdened.... spending unecessary on clothing is of no use...Instead see wedding pics of YAMI GAUTAM...so SIMPLE n beautiful she looked...It's just an opinion...😊
My moms wedding sarees has pure zari and today just her reception saree costs like upwards of 1 lakh if I want to buy it in the store. So the price of silk and silver and gold has surely gone up, so the sarees do cost a lot. If I had to buy all her wedding sarees I would have to spend 3L maybe 😂
@@JustMe54328 I totally agree with you dear. It’s the same thing for me aswell. Silk sarees are expensive in general as they are timeless. Thank you for your comment 🙏🏻
Actually this is not that costly for her, as she lives in US and earning in dollars, and when converted it comes in for around $2200 and thats too for a Sabyasachi original saree. If she wouls have bought a wedding dress from US, then it would be non branded and more costly than this, a simple lehenga bought from US is above $3000 easily on some shops in New Jersey which are famous for bridal dresses. So for someone living in US, its not that costly.
Congratulations on your wedding and your beautiful purchase 😍😍 It's really a stunning saree. Very nice banarasi weave along with hand-embroidered details - can only be done by Sabyasachi. For all those saying it's not worth it, they obviously do not have an eye for art and aesthetics to understand the craft. And the biggest problem is that people think you can get the same thing made for much cheaper without realising that what you'll get is the copy, not an original piece of art. The artist has created something and there is a cost to that - anyone can copy!! Sabyasachi outfits are also increasing in value constantly. If ten years down the line you decide to sell it, you will realise it was a good investment :) So enjoy your beautiful saree, it's absolutely worth it!
Yes, Thats what I saw she bought a cutwork benarasi. when she turned the saree, i saw the back & was like oh! no, not even a kaduwa weave after spending so much.. also its satin/mashru fabric not the mulberry silk katan...
@@bidishabagchi9959 How did u understand it's not Katan silk? Isn't Sabyasachi the most expensive one nd y would they use a cut work one? I'm just curious to know

I mean your lehenga that you wore in your wedding make a review and explanation about kalki ,prices etc just like this saree review 😊 cause I love your choice of lehenga it's amazing ❤✨️
Do you know this sort of brand by name of hand embroidery they just making you fool…why we need hand embroidery in a handloom made traditional benarasi? Doesn’t it destroy the look? Actually they got this sarees from weavers in benaras and do some mismatched embroidery and sell them in 10 times more prices and making people fools…according to me those hand embroidery just kill the look ….typical class less decorative stars (we called them chumki) gives basically cheap appearance…Bengali and South Indian they don’t wear these sorts of sarees…if you want embroidery then why don’t you go for kantha stitch saree or something similar…where you won’t get those cheap chumki

This is how ppl who are brand obsessed get robbed by brands. They sell big dreams, and take 80% money is going for the brandname
