Okay, gotta say, "If i'm preaching, you better pray" is going in the book of "lines that are far more hardcore than I'd ever expect from their source material."
I am pretty sure that line does not originally come from Arzette.
If this games goes well, Imagine still havig the sequel featuring Link's equivalent, or seeing a direct spiritual successor to Hotel Mario and one of IM Meen's games.
Or even a Zelda's Adventure spiritual succesor
This game does have a Hotel Mario based minigame
I can’t help but feel like that one old man trying to escape the library is a reference to I.M. Meen.
@@matthewbankey5547 Same here. The fact that he is stuck in a library makes it even more noticeable.
You again?
Final boss only lasts like 20 seconds
It really is a CDI game! :D
It definitely emulates it
Yeah all the bosses are really weak, or the player has really overdone the grind?
Now you will DIE
twenty seconds later
Nooo it BUUUUURNS
Hilariously, I put off fighting the final boss for awhile, thinking I needed to help more NPCs, get more hearts, ect. expecting him to be hard. lol
Still a more solid challenge, IMO. He dies in one hit, but the challenge comes from landing that hit.
I love how Apatu's death had NO foreshadowing. She didn't even complain about the cold before the fight.
0:37 I’ve seen ENOUGH UA-cam Poop to know that was from Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog-the demise of Dragon Breath.
"When your life ENDS, my reign begins! DIE!"
Why does this line go so hard?
It sounds like an edgy 13 Yr old saying that shi
@@Denzo-df9gr Doesn't make it any less hard
@@ikaraiden4368 yeah because it's cringe duhhhh
Man she straight up murderalizes them.
"After you've scrubbed all the floors in Faramore, then we can talk about mercy."
To be fair, she didn't directly kill the cat lady. Just waited until the cold got her.
@@GarlicPuddingshe likely cut off her clothing in order to make the cold kill her
They really took that "you killed me" "good" exchange and made the last part of the game to be all about it lol
"My father showed you mercy once. You are right. He was honorable. I wont commit the same mistake"
honestly that's the best summary of this game. Arzette realized the bad guy always comes back and decided "nah. Not gonna get that chance."
I kind of wish some of these bosses didn’t explicitly die, they seem like fun characters with a lot of potential for future games.
In particular, Klive and Beeves seemed like good future frenemy-ally-type NPCs in the future a la Squid Baron and Ammo Baron from Shantae.
I can see it be randomly written in for no reason that they just got better to justify bringing them back.
@@NarutooftheRasengan I can definitely see that happening with the frozen cat in particular.
Especially Cornrad
Nodelki and Daimur were my favourites, but it is rather unlikely they would come back given the way they died.
I have to admit, if there was a weak point to this game, it was the bosses. They're definitely a step up from the original CD-i Zelda games' bosses, though that's not saying much, since if they didn't go down in one hit, there wasn't really a strategy to them, you just slashed at them repeatedly until they died. Here there's a little more strategy to it, since the bosses frequently teleport around, necessitating that you be on your guard in terms of both dodging and attacking.
Speaking of one-hit kills, though, I thought it was brilliant that they kept the fact that you kill Ganon with one hit in this game, but have it so that you have to reach him first. I just wish the gauntlet Daimur put you through was longer, it still felt a bit anticlimactic beating him.
Still, regardless of how easy these bosses were to deal with, they've all got great designs and personalities to go with them, to the point where I kind of hope at least a few of them show up in the teased sequel!
Okay, but seriously. Why does the boss theme lowkey kinda slaps?
All the music in the game slaps!
Given how comedic some of the villains are, it kinda is a weirdly dark tone how the princess kills them all, giggling while she does it.
They did try to murder her, tbh. And she didn't kill the cat lady, the cold did.
That was her plan all along. She didn’t plan to trap them again. She planned on just killing them all to make sure they never come back.
@@GarlicPuddingThe crow beat the scarecrow too.
Old CDI Zelda was like that too. In Wand of Gamelon, Zelda defeats iron knuckle and he loses his armor and scurries off humorously in his underwear, but when another guy from the same game straight up melts to death, Zelda responds with "Good." Random civilians have a tendency to die in boss cutscenes too.
It’s pretty insane how the last two bosses can be beaten by just using the reflective ring
"Imagine if the CDI games weren't just YTP material and were actual games,"
Whoever made this sure took that too heart. Well done mate.
I just hope it gets a sequel. The ending hinted towards it.
This game has too much charm to be a one off thing
OMG drug fairy
I gotta ask...did someone love UA-cam Poop so much that they had to make a spiritual successor to Wand of Gamelon?
Let alone make the games actually kinda not terrible
Pretty much yeah, and god bless them for it cause it’s clear the effort shows
Eh yes and no. For one thing, arzette is kind of like a combination of link and Zelda, but there are many differences between her game and the cd-I games.
The guy character who accompanies her in the castle is a bard, not a warrior
The king has died in her story unlike the king of hyrule
But the biggest difference of all is that instead of trapping the enemies like Zelda or link, she just straight up kills them. Makes me wonder what would happen if she went to hyrule and was tasked with defeating Ganon to bring peace to the land
@@jaykay8426I mean Zelda also kind of killed her enemies, remember the wizard that melted. “You killed me. Good.”
Yes, and someone loved it so much they made a UA-cam Poop of it.
6:26 NO! NOT INTO THE PIT! IT BURNS!
The dialogue in this game is so charming 😭
nah
@@youdonegoofedyah
This game truly is a gem, it's really easy but it has so much damn charm and the gameplay is good enough to where I beat it %100 in two sittings. Might beat hero mode, although I'm just expecting enemies with more health and do more damage. Highly recommend this game to anyone considering it.
Play the Hero mode. Theres even more content after that.
@@alfasilverblade oh really? That's cool, yeah I'll have to give it a go. I know where all the secrets are now so shouldn't take too long.
0:00 Klive

1:44 Apatu
2:31 Beeves
3:32 Nodelki
4:54 Daimur
Well, these lines will be sentence mixed in ytps I'm sure of it.
00:46 THIS ain’t no scarecrow….. It’s Shaggy’s Father and/or other relative (from Scooby Doo)
The new age of YTP's
"Lamp oil? Rope? Bombs? You want it? It's yours my friend, as long as you have enough rubies."
"Sorry Link, I can't give credit. Come back when you're a little mmmm...richer."
I think that for the creation of *Beeves,* they were inspired by *Koopa King* from *The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!*
kinda think its trump if he was s dragon
I get what they were going for with the last boss being killed in one hit as a nod to the Zelda CD-i games doing the same thing, but is it weird that I can also kinda picture a Pizza Tower-like boss rush occurring, with Daimur summoning the souls of the previous bosses, only for Arzette to beat each of them up with a flurry of sword swipes before sending Daimur skyward and impaling him with her sword on the way down? I don't know, playing both of those games this month kinda gave me that weird little idea.
Come here! Stop horsing 🐎 around!
With all respect, those are the mildest bosses ive ever seen in gaming. Each one is as strong as a minor stronger type enemy, the second one literally shot a projectile like once
Yeah, but it's mostly like that in the material this game pays homage to. The draw of this game is the cheesy campiness that gave the Zelda cdi games their charm.
11/10 game.
Beeves' design seems to be highly influenced by the design of King Koopa from the late 80s-early 90s Super Mario Bros. DIC cartoons.
Oh look! It's CD-I Zelda, except it's actually good!
Cornrad is definitely my favorite boss in terms of both character design and his actual fight. It’s a shame the shield ring completely trivializes it.
damn, would of been nice to know more about Apatu, she could of been an interesting character
Beeves looks like King Koopa from the Super Mario Bros Super Show
You... you know you can block projectiles, right? ...right?
And you can use the acorns to quickly defeat Klive...
1:08 not gonna lie, hearing the gun noise was hardcore, even if said gun is his smoking pipe^^;
4:47 - That one moment of *unbridled savagery.* _(But let's be real here, folks: He had it coming!)_
Though I do wish the bosses didn't get super easy later on, it is very funny to just stand still and reflect all of Nodelki's projectiles, because he super deserves it.
I don’t know why but I get a really weird vibe whenever one of the bosses die. She just giggles. The horse guy literally gets crushed to death and all she does is just smile.
0:02 dame he's strong as heck

Cornrad and Apatu are my favourite bosses.

If you use bombs or bomb glove on them, you can deal more damage.
And the Chainsword 2 shot the bosses.
I wonder if Clive has a relative named Stallion

Really? All I felt was offended.
@@baalfgames5318 Why? I take sexy anthro characters in any form we get them. Even terrible cartoons like Krapapolis gave us some.
@@SwiftNimblefoot Because it's insulting. Clive, Apatu and Beeves were clearly meant to be a "Yiff in Hell!" to those oh-so horrible furries.

Cc j'aimerais savoir comment on accède le boss rush svp ?
It unlocks when you complete the story
Is this game any good or is it just as bad as the original Cd-I games? I'm doubtful since these guys are planning on releasing Plumbers don't Wear Ties.
I heard it’s actually really good
It plays far better.
Platforms are way easier to discern. You have smoother movement and jumping control. You end up getting a very easy to use long-range weapon. You only need to use one button to use items. Your special items last longer and have a visible timer to show you how much remains. You get proper defenses against projectiles. Money can be collected just by walking into it. And the economy is a lot kinder; I never had to grind out rubies to afford the ammunition and items I wanted.
All told, the game follows the same base concept, but it’s clearly been made with an eye for what did *not* work about those two games, because it pointedly fixes those specific control and level design problems.
Oh great, another legend of Zelda CD-I Ripoff game to release

This game is awful and completely misses the mark on both the writing and the artstyle.
Oh, bleep off, Game Devs. A lot of these bosses are just you shoving your hatred of bronies/furries/scaleys into the game. Yes, I know there are anthro NPCs in the game, but it doesn't change how oddly specific the villains feel, specifically Clive, Apatu and Beeves.
Are you really defending Stallion?
Right after she goes out of her way to help a wolf to attain legal citizenship and engages in peaceful small talk with sentient rats and steers?
Arzette is, if anything, equal opportunity.
@@Mordecrox llike I said, the NPCs are nice, but the bosses are oddly specific to the point where they feel SPECIFICALLY targetted at sections of the furry fandom.
@@baalfgames5318 you can't throw those accusations and not give names.
Already got Words Worth. Legitimately curious about what about the business dragon aggravates you, and the scarecrow didn't even got ball joints
@@Mordecrox Literally WHY did we need a brony and a sexualized cat villain? Answer me why these things were important to have, and how the creators didn't think for one f@#$ing second that these characters might have been offensive. Also, there's MILLIONS of dragon villains, plus the dragon himself feels like something HIJOKE The Dragon would create.
I miiiihght have been able to look past that if the MC wasn't an uninspired human. Like, Literally anything else. She could have been an amoeba or something. But, no. We need a glorious, heroic human to slaughter those oh-so horrible "furf@&s and brony-f@%s and whatnot. How dare anyone able to relate to anything but a human!"
There was no need. Thee end.
Aaand opinion discarded. The first line, tell me whose characters are those. Oh wait, they don't exist. Are we even talking about the same game?
