    nice mix that mate, I'd further enhance it with the addition of some mixed sized trout pellets added after the boiling water has cooled down, so they don't turn to mush.

    I always add a good glugg of groundnut oil to the mix after it's soaked. Give a stir, then leave it a while. Or, mix some of the boiled water with dark brown sugar, or treacle (effectively making a molasses mix), add to the particles and the rest of the boiled water. This creates a really sweet smelling mix- great fir tench and bream.

    Hi Kev try mixed corn i feed my chickens on it. When soaked for 24hrs cook till water is redused,let it stand overnight it turns into a thick porridge,leaves a thick cloud when you thow it in,works very well for all fish..

    I got the Pigeon conditioner as well, and use it regularly. I did not catch the name of the other bag. What is it called, Lilem or something like that? Hard to make out what Kev is saying. Thanks.

      +RICHARD TARBERT hey Rich do you mean the vitalin? It's a cereal for working dogs you can get it in sacks from farming shops. Soak it with molasses if your after bream, and it helps thicken up a method feeder mix a treat ;) regards, Kev

    is there a video how you did on your carping at the new pond

      Hi Sergio, unfortunately the 'secret lake' ended up being full of smaller carp, and I found a method feeder or maggot feeder approach to be more effective than a bulk particle approach. However I did use the remainder of the mix I made in this video at Marchamley Pools and ended up catching a few carp on it! ua-cam.com/video/AFm1fRIzHuc/v-deo.html

      A carp on a line is better then no carp at the end of your line..i just started to use particles this past week and from the looks of it they do a much better job then just a hand full of sweet corn,, also I just finished letting my particles sit overnight now it's time to cook a few pounds..going to bait up for a few days and I'll keep you posted..check out my carp club I started here in the US.. You can find us on Instagram under #Californiaghettocarping or @bigsergg.. tight lines & loose drags mate..here in Los Angeles we call mate is called HOMIE..lol..

    • @OnTheBankAngling
      @OnTheBankAngling  8 років тому

      Hehehe! Cheers homie! When I say the lake was full of smaller carp though I meant 2-4lb, I just couldn't get anything big! I bet over in LA small carp are 3 or 4 times that size! Particles are definitely the cheapest way to mass bait, can you get boilies over in America? I will check out your instagram! Kev

    hi, don't you have to boil it or something? Also how much did that weigh? thanks

    • @OnTheBankAngling
      @OnTheBankAngling  7 років тому

      Hi Connor, with pigeon conditioner as long as you soak it 24 hrs it will be fine. This is because it doesn't contain hemp or tares which require boiling to split. A litre volume of the mix with water will weigh about a kilo I would imagine, as that is how much a litre of water weighs. Hope this helps you, let me know how you get on!

    • @connorgibson6014
      @connorgibson6014 7 років тому

      Cheers, whats the cheapest supplier? And how much kg would you take on a short session? Thanks

    • @OnTheBankAngling
      @OnTheBankAngling  7 років тому +1

      Go to a farm shop like Mole Valley Farmers or similar, a 25kg sack is about 18 quid. Then just take as much as you need per session. Just fill whatever size bucket and follow the directions on the video and you are good to go! Just remember to get 'pigeon conditioner' because other bird feeds like wild bird feed may well need boiling, and also contain things like sunflower seeds which you cannot cook anyway!

      I disagree with the pigeon conditioner comment. I get a mix that contains tares and peas. These need boiling. Also, you get a lot more out of pigeon conditioner if you boil it for 45 minutes after a 20 hour soak.
