I spray the apple cider vinegar with water and a bit of drops of lavender essential oil to protect my dog from fleas when she goes outside . Has worked for more than a year and it’s natural ♥️
It’s OK if you sprayed on your dog just very very very very little Too much of any essential oils can be very very harmful But if you do please be very very cautious and don’t use a lot Like less than four drops
Dave yes . But I only put like 2 drops off essential oils and 1/2 organic apple cider with 1/2 water in spray bottle . Don’t spray the face . For the face I spray my hands and then rub a bit on her .
Also a half t-spoon of organic raw apple cider vinegar added to fresh filtered water in a scrubbed clean stainless steel bowl (not plastic) every second day will keep the fleas away... A few drops of Neem oil with about 10 drops of essential lavender sprayed on your pet and through the house as the Neem has a yuk smell but works amazing 😉. Plain spray bottle of diluted Neem oil for out side... Plant citronella plants at front and back doors... Plant lavender, rosemary, lemongrass and mint 👌😁
Anyone dealing with this.. like I am.. you have my sympathy. I have an exterminator coming in today. I tried it all.. me and my two cats are done!! Ugh.
Thank you for the vinegar & water tip...rescued a stray and oh boy rescued a nation of fleas with him...tried DE, threw out rugs, steam cleaned floors and furniture...I think we're in control and maintenance phase now (3 months later) but never experienced this kind of infestation before. So bad it effected house humans with bites....your video is very helpful.
I have kittens with fleas too. I tried DE for a few days now and already cleaned the house but I still see fleas on them. I don't know what to do anymore.
I sold my house because of fleas. Never knew fleas could get in your house. I have no pets so i am the host. Oh and fleas have followed me to my new house.
The most important thing you haven't mentioned is to vacuum 24 hours prior to doing anything because the vibrations break open flea eggs allowing the treatment to work. Second most important thing, immediately empty the vacuum canister/bag outside. Otherwise the fleas can escape. I learned this from a pest control guy.
Thank you very much for this tip. Haven’t had a major problem, because I just got these pets(I actually think that my cats gave to my dog)but I want to get on top of this BEFORE it becomes a major problem. Thanks again.
TIP: Apple Cider Vinegar takes away many "skin itches". Changes the "balance" of the skin. Can dilute or straight. THIS IS a great tip! You asked for some?
ACV and BAKING SODA, which is what I clean with, is GREAT for EVERYTHING. I keep my pets away from my bed and I don’t have a major problem. But I just want to stay on top of things when I see my pets scratching.
In Cuba, where I was born, they use vinegar to prevent skin sun burns. Usually, old people put pure vinegar directly on the skin of kids after have been exposed to sun all day long on the beach. They take a fresh shower prior to apply the vinegar.
@ Natasha's Beauty Studio. I found a few on my dog and woke up with one on my bed a few days ago. I spent the entire day washing everything in hot water. Gave my dog her first of several flea baths and used a flea comb. I used baking soda mixed with sea salt on my carpet and furniture. Vacuumed my furniture and I’m vaccumimg all floors daily. I’m also using vets best home spray. Accidentally ordered the kind for cats but it’s fine to use. Smells like strong peppermint. Sprayed down everything soft. Used raid flea killer spray on the base boards. Also bought the Adams flea spray that I spray in dark area where fleas usually nest. Haven’t seen any fleas since I started but I heard they hide well. I been reading about diatomaceous earth so I’m probably gonna go ahead and order that in food grade because of my dog. I keep a clean house never thought this would happen. I’m so scared they gonna pop up in again.
For the flea larva and eggs just make sure you keep your pet away from them, they should die of starvation or at best stop laying eggs since they can only lay eggs 24 hours after feeding so if you have a flea repellent collar for your pet and also use the flea treatment with all this tips mentioned in this video it will be extremely difficult for fleas to get any chance of populating your pet and home.
Yes, but Doctors will not tell you. They will say I don't know or it's Inflammation and will not help you. Because natural things will make it go away and they can't make any money off of natural things, they don't care if you die.
Also, I would recommend using any form of dish soap by Dawn. It works wonderfully as a flea killer, but it’s not a repellent. I use 1 tablespoon for 8 ounces of water when I bathe my dog. Apple cider vinegar with mother organic works and so does lemon juice. I hope this helps here’s to getting rid of those pesky fleas 🤯☺️
Did you know you can vacuum your bed? My cats love to sleep there so fleas love it too... but I can get rid of eggs and larva as well as adult fleas by running my vacuum over it... and it's even more effective if I sprinkle baking soda on it and let it sit for a while first! Every little bit helps...

I've been fighting fleas in my place and body over 10 years when I live in an apartment that had dogs but I had none. I will try some of these natural things to help.
man oh man. i have a cat who gave birth around 3-4 months ago, and when the kittens were already in the world they already had fleas with them & until they got older they lived in the house and so the fleas just started growing into a giant family & my problem right now is... fleas, no matter how many times i clean my room and spray flea spray, if doesn’t really do to much and they’re usually more active at night for my opinion so i hope these tips will help and do a big difference! (i have a lot of flea bites on my foot that i always get paranoid that there’s a flea jumping/crawling on my foot)
@@preranahbaruah i tried a lot of different ways to get rid of the fleas but it didn’t really made much of a difference, but some of things that i did was 1.) clean the house daily especially the place, 2.) got a bucket of water put soap in it then i got a flea comb and combed the fleas of the cats daily, 3.) i bought some flea spray from the pet store and sprayed the places where i usually see fleas at, 4.) i fed them a flea pill to get rid of them but i had to wait for the kittens to be at the right age before i fed them the pills. but what actually really got the fleas away fully was my dad and his friend built a house outside my backyard, and we put my cats there, and then i just cleaned my room and the house and the fleas did go away but it did took some time to fully make them go away, but little by little. i just sprayed my room and the house with flea spray until they fully went away. fleas are usually out during the summer because when fall started they also went away. (i’m sooo sorry for the long reply)
Use Vets Best Flea & Tick Spray you can spray it on your furbabies, your bed & your floor. I use Diatomaceous Earth Food Grade powder too. But it has to be FOOD GRADE!!! You can sprinkle it on the floor then vaccumm it up. You can also spread it around all over your yard too just like the regular DE, but the Food Grade is safe for pets. Rosemary can't be used around Pets that have Seizures.
@@SillyGoofySponge 😭 i have beaten the fleas i think. not from anything in this video but i still did! just make sure to get your oets treated by the vet asap.
DE is also recommended for internal parasites. I mixed it with wet cat food last week (1/2 tsp for cats under 5 lbs, 1 tsp for everybody else). No ill effects. Best to use a mask during and wash one's hands after mixing (my advice, anyway). I worry about pets breathing it in, but if they are not sleeping on chairs I treat then vacuum? I'll definitely be using the vinegar solution on furniture and rugs though. Thanks!
Literally, it's driving me insane and the worst thing Is my cats never go outside because they are indoor and I'm currently going through a investation!?!? 😭😭😭
Bright side I love you so much my brother brought in a stray kitten walking around the street brought it in she’s lovable and loves to play but she had fleas now we have an infestation no matter what we do I’ll try some of these
Sprinkle salt mixed with baking soda on mattress and round the floor of the bed area leave as long as you can ..then hoover mattress do it once a month
I can not break the cycle of fleas this summer.😢 Every few weeks I have to treat every thing. This summer has been the worst ever for fleas with my creatures.
I can relate to that. The fleas in Florida are awful and seem immune to many veterinary treatments. Time for the natural remedies. I made my dog a Dawn, apple cider vinegar, and water shampoo. Now my roommate has to take care of her little dogs. I’m currently working on a spray for the fluffy furniture, dog beds, and floors - no carpet except a small area in my room that I may just rehome to the dumpster!
My dogs didn't have fleas, and then we moved and now they do. And I can tell you that they are miserable because this is the first time they have ever had fleas. I'm always telling them to stop scratching and to stop biting after butts
I was in my bed on UA-cam and I felt sum on my chest bc i had a tank top on and a flea was on my chest I hurried up and got up real quick it had jumped and idk where it went I can’t find it now I can’t sleep 😭😭😭
I used to catch them with a transparent tape if I saw one, always had it on hand(the tape I mean) If you see it on your body, don’t make any sudden moves.
I use a 1 cup of White Vinegar and a 1 cup of water, also put 2 or 3 drops of Lavender in a spray bottle. On wood furniture I use 1 cup of warm water and 10 drops of Cedar Wood Essential Oil. But you still have to vacuum often or use dry wipes with Cedar Wood Oil to wipe the floors.
Where I live there are many stray cats and I have been noticing some fleas whenever we go outdoors and walk back into our home. We don't have pets inside of our apartment. Watching this video to help with how to get rid of them. At least some people have pets but we don't. Maybe the last person who lived here have an animal who had them. I'm trying the baking powder and vacuuming.
I brought in a kitten in with fleas into my house. I am vacuuming daily 2x a day and washing my covers daily. I will be trying to I will be trying all these remedies.
I had to come back and comment on the video and say the apple cider vinegar and water worked for me THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊 I had fleas in my room bc of my dogs and I’m not gotta lie I gave my dogs away bc the fleas were getting out of hand after that the fleas got worse they were EVERYWHERE so I turned to this video and I shampooed my carpet twice a day sprayed the vinegar and water mixture also, and I used Hartz Ultra Guard Plus flea and tick home spray I bought it at Walmart and afterwards empty my vacuum every other day AWAY from my house and within 4 days the little pests were gone !
Also drinking water laced with apple cider vinegar 2-3 times a day actually keeps fleas from biting more than once every few days and drastically reduces the time for the itching to subside. Also makes them easier to catch whenever they dare try another biting attempt. ;-p
Yep, it killed my last vacuum... but I think if you also sprinkle some (larger, harder than DE) corn meal or even plain grits in with the DE, it will help prevent the fine DE powder from burning up the motor. The finer dust should cling to the larger grit to cleanly move through the vacuum cleaner. (I haven't tried this, but it's sorta "homemade scientific" haha)
When we have fruit flies I get a container put viniger in it and put wholes in the top cuz then they draw in and cant get out .. Works like a champ and better than anything store bought
Lemon and other citrus are usually scents that makes cats miserable. So don't spray lemon on their bedding or near where they eat/drink or near the litter box. Lemon can make them avoid the litterbox. 😰 Vinegar water and levender is a great spray and cats like lavender usually.
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle I have always made a spray of 2 c water, 2 tablespoons vinegar and 3 drops of lavender oil and have never had issues with lavender toxicity with any of my cats. But you are right, better to be safe and not use it. Have you found a combo that works for you that is a pleasant scent but non-citrus and non-toxic to cats? (I know cats are more vulnerable to respiratory reactions around essential oils, period.)☹️
Do yourself a favor. Get a can of “Knockout” from Chewy. Vacuum your house, wash all bedding blankets etc. and treat your house with this stuff. I tried all these “tricks” I found online and this is what the vet recommended. We got an extra can to treat the house next flea season before there’s a problem.
Since we bring them in on our shoes and clothes always treat your yard and spray your shoes and pant legs..if you get DE food grade you can dust it on your cat or dog. They can be dormant for years in the baseboards and emerge when conditions are right ie: you get a pet..keep DE in your vac bag
I have tried almost everything under the sun, including everything in this video, NOTHING worked, but one thing. I am an absolute favorite of flees, if there is a hundred dogs and cats with flees, they will literally leave them all and come to me. They will bite me, jump on me, come home with me. Absolutely err my mind boggling. Everything in that video had zero effect to stop the biting, until I went to the extremes and tried garlic. I cut the garlic to slices, rub it all over the skin, especially on old bite sites, put slices in the bed with me. I guarantee you, not a single flee well dare come close.
Use peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and lavender oil in the 1:1 vinegar water mix because the fleas don't like the oils at all. Keep the lawn short like they said and liberally spray your carpet and cloth aposltry.
Every flea control fails if there are feral cats polluting property. So the root of problem has to be fixed. The only solution now is the traps provided from your related city. Then the city would pick up cats. Latter on, city would neuter them, and possibly treat them for flies. However, the law says that the cats has to be return to same place they where taken from. So property owners are only ½ helped and for the rest, hopeless.
Same here; including Baking Soda and this is why I do not have a serious problem but I have notice my dog and cats scratching. I just got the dog a few months ago; and she was not scratching. I want to believe the cats gave her flies. The trials of having PETS.

The acid also eats away body fats which accumulate in shower drains
What purpose do fleas serve? Why do we have to put up with them?
And ticks & mosquitoes !
their purpose is to annoy us
That's exactly why they're called parasites..
The same can be said about Mosquitoes and termites.
Mosquitoes and termites serve a purpose of being a natural food supply for other animals, from what I can tell ticks and fleas fill that same niche
I've been fighting fleas in my place and body over 10 years when I live in an apartment that had dogs but I had none. I will try some of these natural things to help.

I use pesticides, and works great for me. Thanks for the natural solutions , I’ll try the vinegar, lemon and rosemary :)

man oh man. i have a cat who gave birth around 3-4 months ago, and when the kittens were already in the world they already had fleas with them & until they got older they lived in the house and so the fleas just started growing into a giant family & my problem right now is... fleas, no matter how many times i clean my room and spray flea spray, if doesn’t really do to much and they’re usually more active at night for my opinion so i hope these tips will help and do a big difference! (i have a lot of flea bites on my foot that i always get paranoid that there’s a flea jumping/crawling on my foot)
Same problem 😢 what did you do?
Rosemary can't be used around Pets that have Seizures.
ive seen 3 too many just in my bedroom today. seeing one on my bed was game over and I’m now watching videos desperately.😢

@@SillyGoofySponge 😭 i have beaten the fleas i think. not from anything in this video but i still did! just make sure to get your oets treated by the vet asap.

Thank you for all your suggestions; Merry Christmas and the best of New Year hope it’s better for all of us. Shar TN.
Thanks!
Is it ok for human to take for parasites?
I deep clean my room, wash my sheets & still see a flea jump across my phone

Sprinkle salt mixed with baking soda on mattress and round the floor of the bed area leave as long as you can ..then hoover mattress do it once a month
This is why I DO NOT allow PETS on my bed. Stay away from my bed besides they have their own bed.
Also, bathe your animals in the original blue Dawn dish soap and it’s not toxic or harmful at all like the medicated flea and tick treatments.
Blue dawn is toxic to me, irritates my lungs. Just letting you know it has some level of toxins because of the chemical formula.
I can not break the cycle of fleas this summer.😢 Every few weeks I have to treat every thing. This summer has been the worst ever for fleas with my creatures.
I totally agree
I can relate to that. The fleas in Florida are awful and seem immune to many veterinary treatments. Time for the natural remedies. I made my dog a Dawn, apple cider vinegar, and water shampoo. Now my roommate has to take care of her little dogs. I’m currently working on a spray for the fluffy furniture, dog beds, and floors - no carpet except a small area in my room that I may just rehome to the dumpster!
@RoadThruGrace we have them bad here in UK only thing that worked was Advocate on the cat and critterkill in house
Not that I do chemicals but got desperate enough to try.
They eat me when i sleep

I use a 1 cup of White Vinegar and a 1 cup of water, also put 2 or 3 drops of Lavender in a spray bottle. On wood furniture I use 1 cup of warm water and 10 drops of Cedar Wood Essential Oil. But you still have to vacuum often or use dry wipes with Cedar Wood Oil to wipe the floors.
Did these two solutions--the Vinegar w/Lavendar & the Cedar essential oil & water, actually rid your house of a flea infestation?
Where I live there are many stray cats and I have been noticing some fleas whenever we go outdoors and walk back into our home. We don't have pets inside of our apartment. Watching this video to help with how to get rid of them. At least some people have pets but we don't. Maybe the last person who lived here have an animal who had them. I'm trying the baking powder and vacuuming.
Spray outside and inside your around door, Apple Cider Vinegar 1 cup and 1cup of water in spray bottle and a few drops Lavender for the smell
Your video is very helpful and I like the humor in it!
Shame on you for giving your dogs away! :((((
@josie4peace the dogs were not given away. The pests not pets were gone!
Bright side: 1:1 apple cider & water
Me:pure apple cider to get rid fleas immediately😂
Also drinking water laced with apple cider vinegar 2-3 times a day actually keeps fleas from biting more than once every few days and drastically reduces the time for the itching to subside. Also makes them easier to catch whenever they dare try another biting attempt.
;-p

Bro you are one of the only ones I can trust these things with
Vinegar kills mold too and gets rid of roaches too!!!
I used dettol with citrus fragrance in it.. I sprayed everywhere i think they would
Less you have bag vacuum, do not use DE powder. Fine powder like baking soda , DE , salt , etc... will damage the motor on bagless vacuums.
Thank you for your info!
This makes me happy.

Amanda. Everyone is complaining about these things. I swear they too have been govt strengthened.
Can you use regular vinegar or does it have to be apple cider vinegar? How about ROSEMARY, where do I locate this item?🌻🌼
Lemon and other citrus are usually scents that makes cats miserable. So don't spray lemon on their bedding or near where they eat/drink or near the litter box. Lemon can make them avoid the litterbox. 😰 Vinegar water and levender is a great spray and cats like lavender usually.
Lavender is toxic to cats don't do this
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle I have always made a spray of 2 c water, 2 tablespoons vinegar and 3 drops of lavender oil and have never had issues with lavender toxicity with any of my cats. But you are right, better to be safe and not use it. Have you found a combo that works for you that is a pleasant scent but non-citrus and non-toxic to cats? (I know cats are more vulnerable to respiratory reactions around essential oils, period.)☹️
Lavender is toxic for cats
@@lisaahmari7199 I've heard equal parts of apple cider vinegar and water works well for cats. You can even spray it on them.
I like the tongue twister a lot I had to watch it all over again. 😆
Good ideas there. I will have to try them.
Is it toxic?

My daughter too.
Did you get rid of them? I've rashes all over my body too and they're so itchy

Bright side im so proud you have 30M subs!😊
That's what I use. The warm bowl with soapy water. I will try thw lomenie water for under my bed and korners. 😺
The ones I have went swimming and thanked me for the hospitality.😂
They brought their bathing suits and sunglasses.
Thanks for introducing me to DE. I have seen great reviews on this stuff.
Cedar chips have been found to be toxic to cats. Please check on current information before using cedar or essential oils near pets.
I know that I might be late but are these ways appropriate for dogs I want to know ways to get rid of fleas before I get a dog . 💖
Use peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and lavender oil in the 1:1 vinegar water mix because the fleas don't like the oils at all. Keep the lawn short like they said and liberally spray your carpet and cloth aposltry.
Please dont use the oils with cats. They are toxic for cats.

Does regular vinegar work?? I don’t have apple cider vinegar
reg vinegar is fine to use but it won't get rid of fleas.
My dog's fleas laugh at vinegar and diatomaceous earth but then they laugh at drop on treatments too.
Every
flea control fails if there are feral cats polluting property. So the
root of problem has to be fixed. The only solution now is the traps provided from your related city. Then the city would pick up cats. Latter on, city would neuter
them, and possibly treat them for flies.
However, the law says that the cats has to be return to same place
they where taken from. So property
owners are only ½ helped and for the rest, hopeless.
I think this is whats happening at my apartment. My dog has never had fleas but she has been getting them and also has an allergy to them
My husband &myself have. been going
crazy trying to irradicate this flea problem.
