    as a diesel mechanic, you dont let your truck warm up on 100 degree days so as soon as you see that oil temp hit 90-100 you are good to go. No reason to wait till 150 degrees. Trans temp takes longer but its good at 60 degrees and above

    Its about 50km's from Kenora to the Manitoba boarder. The portion under construction is 6.7 km's. The cost is $31.7 million. At 3 years to complete each section trucker Josh will probably be in his mid 50's before it's done. Keep in mind there is also 17 km's in Manitoba to be 4 laned.

      Nope. It's his choice like me. Lots of drivers aren't as lucky to be home as much as he chooses. Alot of companies force there drivers to stay out anywhere from 3-12 weeks or longer and don't care if they get them home on time. He's an owner op he only does what he chooses to do. I found a company that treats me like an owner op without the financial responsibility. Trucking isn't a 8hr a day 40 a week job. Most work 10+ a day 70+ a week not going home for months at a time

    You really don’t need to warm engine so much before driving. It doesn’t do it any good.
    I fly small planes with combustion engine. When oil temperature is above 50 degrees Celsius, we are ready to go. And a plane is on FULL power for the first 1-4 minutes, depending on how high I wanna go from start.
    I KNOW planes and trucks isn’t the same, but combustion engines functions are very similar, and truck engines doesn’t take many rpm.
    Just saying, don’t judge me. 😊😊😊

    Funny thought. You were talking about the person who gets to go to work and make things go boom every day. When you said that all I could think about was the Muppets character that always blew up everything. His name was Crazy Harry.

To and from work always looking for Old Blue. Quick question. We spend a lot of time on the bus and I am interested in doing something like you do with the Map animation. Is there a specific program that you use? Thank you!

    Can you talk a bit about what happens when crossing the US border? What kind of paperwork do you need to have and do they inspect the load before letting you cross? I know you can’t record it but since I’ve never had the chance to cross over myself I’m very curious about it all

    • @sachadee.6104
      @sachadee.6104 Рік тому +3

      the loads are already in their (customs) system, as is the truck, as is the driver. So they are fully aware who you are and what you got. Still they will ask you where you are going, if you have fresh fruit or meat, if you are gonna leave something in the USA (besides the load), how long you are gonna be gone for and more of those standard questions. Sometimes they will inspect the load and even your cab, this is done randomly. Some borders (like Detroit and Houlton,Me) will scan the load. I do not know if International Falls has a scanner (X-ray that is).
