With you being a furry and all (I fully support!), you could do furry paws on the ear as an ASMR. It'd fit with your furry theme and the ASMR theme! :D
variable frame rate on the Pixel 3 isn't fun to deal with, buuut hey you're making lemonade with lemons! ...I think that's how it goes.... if you need something quick and easy, the problem could probably be solved with a different camera app like Open Camera that allows you to control the framerate might fix it? Granted you'll be loosing the (very little) amount of post the pixel does with videos, but I doubt you'd notice the difference. Don't know if this would work but it'd be interesinng to try out
Unfortunately it's built into the firmware, the default camera has a setting to turn off variable frame rate but it doesn't work :/ the lighting dictates the fps, and any changes will also change fps.

I mean if you ever feel like you don't need to worry about the warranty or whatever you can root your phone to get rid of it, but eh, aw well. Good luck with videos and hopefully you'll be able to get that shiny new camera soon!
The way Snowball makes his thumbnails: Get as close to the camera as physically possible. I feel like eventually one thumbnail is just going to be the pupil of one of the eyes.
