23:24 I'm guessing Anachronos returns minions in the order of summoned first to last: (1) If we go back to 21:04 and play it in x0.25 speed, the cards on the outer side seem to fully spawn first followed by the inner ones, so the summon order is 1 3 E 4 2, with E being Elise and the # being the cards corresponding to order of 1st summoned to last summoned (4th). Assuming this is correct, we have Elise as first (since you play her to summon the others), with the rest being 1 - Aman'thul, 2 - Yogg, 3 - Thirsty Drifter, 4 - Sunspot Dragon. (2) When the minions returned, they are ordered from left to right, E 1 2 3 in the exact order of Elise, Aman'thul, Yogg and Thirsty Drifter. Sunspot Dragon didn't make it due to lack of board space. Would need testing to confirm if it isn't just random and we happened on this exact order via RNG.
@@Infinity-00x he was making a joke about how kibler never played the coin in the first match-up. Could have played Elise one turn before, but decided to keep it for no use whatsoever throughout the match
you never know when the coin might be useful. just because it wasn't used in hindsight doesn't mean a misplay happened. game could have gone in many different directions, it's not deterministic like chess or something.
@@ToxicallyMasculinelol easy, if you are against aggro: use it to play a board clear one turn earlier. Against control? Templo play or just draw and dump the coin Use it on turn 2 to play a good 3 cost well stated minion and then into another 3 cost well stated minion.
I have been playing a similar deck, with some slight bits of being irritated, but it does some enjoyably silly things, playing 5 elise in a game was a laugh riot, had Ragnaros in there for a bit so pulling Rag, Aman, Darkwater and Yogg off an Elise was also really amusing. A card I have been having a ton of success with in this deck is Tram Heist. It let me live though 5 Azerite snakes in a game, pulling other people's renos can also be huge.
The problem with Elise is that she lines up with Reno coming down. I fully expected that reno off of the paladin since they played order in the court which guarantees reno on 8
I KINDA feel like having 2 Elise portraits for 2 different classes is a readability issue. Unlike Arthas they're not as clearly different. I am really looking forward to Reno Elise with a big undead package.
it is a reference to the movie "the highlander" and it's famous lione of "there can only be one". thus it used to denote decks that have mechanics that only allow there to be one of each card.
Dev team: "Ok, let's make it so they can only have 1 of each Legendary in their deck because Legendary minions are so powerful." "Got it, so they'll only be able to play one of them per game." "...Thaaaaaat's not what we said." "But...but, isn't it what you meant?" "Is it?" It's crazy what passes through their skulls when creating cards and mechanics. You can only play 1 card - but in-game you can copy it literally endlessly.
I don't think that rule(and getting around it) necessarily makes certain decks which abuse such mechanic broken. But when the card becomes a win condition on its' own - meaning decks go autopilot, digging for a card while reiterating specific interactions and desired outcomes - usually means card offers too much outside of it's niche (or intended design). Not defending their design choices, this game is indeed notorious for printing cards with broken (random) card generations.

I feel like the coin in any kinda control/highlander priest decks is like a curse at times because of the amount of value you generate
Nah I love reacting and going 2nd in control decks. I’d rather have coin and flexibility, extra card

Just in time!!

i've never seen kibler so salty before lol unlucky!
You had lethal the turn before he gained the armor at 9 health. You could have used the overheal damage and the 5 damage frog
Frog couldn’t attack
?????
just feels like reskinned big priest
What is a highlander deck?
Only one copy of each card in the deck
runs only a single copy of every card to use cards that activate abilities off of that

A deck with no duplicates
