Hey, Maymay, a tip on straightening the fiber. I’m assuming the fiber is metallic. As you discovered, the fiber has some “give” to it. To straighten it, wind one end around one forefinger and the other end around the other forefinger, then pull in opposite directions. When the fiber becomes taut, steadily continue pulling until the fiber magically straightens! I learned this in my former crafting addiction - needlework! If the fiber is cotton, i use water (or spit which is always handy!)to straighten it. Dip your fingers in water (or lick your fingers!) and run the fiber between your damp fingers. Tightly squeeze your fingers as you run the fiber through them. That straightens the fiber, just like ironing it with a steam iron but with no heat. Of course, you can also use Sewing With Nancy’s mini craft iron also! Good luck!
That is so cute!! I have a picket fence die, also one on my ScanNCut. Plus all that acetate I save from packaging! I'll have to do this with flowers! (Bad case of Soring fever, here!)
Ok I just want to say this is my first video of yours I've watched and I'm so thrilled.. your speech is at the right speed. Your instructions clear. And basically you are an amazing teacher thank you so much. Also do you ship to UK ?
So clear, too! I have seen videos I like the projects for, but they mumble, and even with hearing aids, they are hard to understand. Or, they just speak too fast. Nice ladies, but I just can't follow them.😮 Thanks, MayMay for taking time in explaining the steps well, and giving us the logic of the order of things!! Love your discussions with Vince, also!
What size is the inner paper (the stripey coloured one) that holds the card open? I want to make sure it sits in the right spot when opened. Thanks! And great video!
I love the card . I have a ? I was wondering if you could do a video on your Perfect Layers Mini and Perfect ruler I would love to see how they work. Thank you
Hi the base is a piece of cardstock that is 4.25" x 12" score on the 12" side at 5.50"~~ 8.50"~~9" and 9.50" Acetate piece start with 3.25" (l) x 2.50" (w) then cut it into 1.25" wide strips outside sentiment strip is 1" x 3.50"
That is so COOL Maymay!! Love it .. & it got me thinking. If my idea turns out I will definitely post it in our group. btw ... Will you be getting Maymay's Made Its T-shirts in ur store for Us to purchase?
How is your card 8.5 X 11 when you only cut it at 4.25 X 12? I am confused. I understand how you lose 1" because of the pleat but where is the 8.5 measurement. Love the card...working on it as a birthday card for my grandson.
I thought it would be perfect to make for my grandson. What size is the white card stock and the one at the bottom of it I wait to your blog but I didn’t find it.
it's cute but I think full acetate will backing the balloon better than strips. just cut off the excess above the balloon. it doesn't matter anyway cos you still see the stripe so why not just use square acetate to support all. Or just glue those balloon in a place where they touching each other
how do you call the second board that was shown? first is the paper cutter, right? what is the second board? pls answer me huhu :( i want that so badly
