Great old song from the past so much feeling well done thanks alot for the music ian
This is just sooooo beautifull, the melodic voices the harmonies and for me THE ACOUSTIC GUITARS interspersed with the electirc guitar and keyboard, this is music beauty at its best
Iain Matthews first sang this song in the early 70s! Kudos to a great musician, who never made millions, or became a pop superstar, but is loved by his fans and still makes beautiful music.
Check out the 2 albums Go for Broke and Sometimes the Bear Eats You, There is a mix of covers. His versions are better, more polished. I have listened to these since the 70's and still do. There is something special about him.
@@bogieviews Oh yes. I love all the early albums, but Stealin' Home from 1978 is my absolute favourite. I don't know why, but it really talks to me, still, four decades on.
@@bogieviews If ou like Ian's music listen to his album ïf you saw through my eyes'......
@@yvore1 AGREED! For me, that album echos Fairport's "What We Did On Our Holidays" album on which of course he played and sang. And the piano on "Never Ending" and Richard Thompson's guitar work makes that the best album of so many great Iain Matthews works.
@@robertnorfolk6072 Ian Mathews, for me the best
Lovely beautiful people ♥
Great Song and Ian' S voice is lovely. I Love his music since i first heard WOODSTOCK, back in 1971.... Good times....
Ich liebe die Musik auch mit 72 Jahren noch ❤❤
My favourite IM song since I first heard it on the MSC album Later That Same Year. This is a worthy version. Never understood the lyrics but who cares - it's the music that counts.
Written some fantastic songs - and performed many brilliant covers.
great update of a great song
Nice live rendition. Still like the original most of all. Some of the simplest arrangements of a song can carry the most powerful emotions and images. Watching this is like reading a favorite book again after 50 years. It's still there.
Thanks for this!
Love it. Sounds like a late Garcia/Hunter ballad.

preciosa cancion.
It's not Matthew's Southern Comfort, it's Ian Matthew with good musicians.
True. But singing a Matthews' Southern Comfort song though ...
