As per IS 1893 (Part 1) 2016, Clause no 6.4.3.1, Moment of Inertia for Structural Analysis of RC and Masonry Structures are: For columns, Ieq = .70 Igross For beams, Ieq = .35 Igross The code considered the cracked section properties.
Please try to add auto combination as per IS:1893 (part1) 2016. Software is provided auto combination as per IS : 456. Why is Staad pro programmed to design a beam as singly over reinforcement beam instead of designing doubly reinforced beam. I am staad pro"s fan but many are recommending Etaabs. Staad pro developers need more hard work to over take Etaabs.
Not properly programmed. Singly over reinforced section warning is there. It should be obsolete & care to be taken for design of doubly reinforced section. Short span beam design is not possible in the software. Joint has not been designed due to a singly warning & fail. The software is not programmed as per latest IS 13920 for a perfect design.
