I tested Amber Cologne as a sample and I have to say it is a very nice but very special salty amber summer fragrance. I don't know the other members of the series yet, so I would be very happy about Amber Cologne. Best regards from Germany
Sayat Nova appeals to me most of the three. I enjoy gourmand fragrances and am beginning to explore oud a bit more. I've tried a few from Bortnikoff and they've all been very enjoyable. Located in California.
Out of those 3 fragrances OUD MONARCH sounds to me the most interesting , since BORTNIKOFF came from distilling oud - so it must be very high quality oud fragrance. Love your analysis and break down the perfume experience. From Israel :)
Love this house. All 3 that you mentioned are amazing. I love Amber cologne for summer as you mentioned. Its so uplifting. With Oud Monarch, I do not get the longevity but the blend and notes are to die for. I have a decant of Sayat Nova, and my oh my what a creation. Hopefully I can afford a bottle of these someday.
I feel like Amber Cologne could fit best my taste: Easy to wear, fresh and clean, super versatility. However, Sayat Nova could make a dope fall/winter nights out fragrance. I currently only have Ultra Male by JPG for that purpose, which is nice but one dimensionally sweet. I could do with another nights out frag that's a good deal more mature and different to the common nose. That would be cool as it's quite hard to get. Best regards from Germany
Sayat Nova is really nice, for me is a very Jucy peach with vanilla touches along with smoky touches, it will definitely will break the cold wind. I used it as a layered the other day of "under my skin " . Waooo nice combo!!! Would like to try aoud monarch the breakdown sounds amazing!!!! A long lasting tropical freshy sounds great for next summer. Sayat Nova sounds delightful. The idea of smoked apricots has me excited to smell it. I find his other fragrances to trend toward the gourmand. Trinity and Oud Sinaharja have decadent pastry accords from the Sri Lankan Oud. I would love to own a full bottle of Sayat Nova. Personally I'd love to try the Amber Cologne, because I have a decant of the Musk Cologne which I'm enjoying a lot and definitely want to try the amber I think the oud one may be too intense for me 😅

One of these days I will chalk up the cash to buy a full bottle of one of Bortnikoff’s creations. There are a few more I need to sample first, one of them being Sayat Nova. Oud Monarch sounds the best to me (only because it’s one I’ve already sampled) I love the cocoa/cinnamon/oud trifecta. It works so well. It was great to hear your take on some Bortnikoff fragrances. This house has intrigued me for the longest time and a few months ago I was able to acquire a 10ml decant of their exclusive Lucky Oud. Oud is one of my favorite notes in perfumery and Lucky Oud was an instant love for me. Sayat Nova would be wonderful to win, as you mentioned it contains three types of oud. I bought Oud Wood a few days later. I really like your videos. Your are articulate and don't rely on some attitude to your presentations. You also excel when you present with a partner. They get their chance to speak and you either confirm or offer a differing opinion. Again, authentic and without an act. I have never heard of this House. I am a fan of Oud Wood. I know that I enjoy ouds and vetiver - the smokiness in both. Would love to know more...and would love to own a bottle Sayat Nova!

Bortnikoff seems to be pushing the olfactory envelope combining art and science to produce fascinating scents utilizing real oud and not just aroma chemicals. I really don't know that I have ever smelled actual oud despite having four or five scents featuring oud in my collection. It would be amazing to be able to try Sayat Nova. I’ve heard and seen about this house before. Haven’t tried any of their fragrances. The most interesting composition for me is the AMBER COLOGNE. I’m always and will be into tropical summer fragrance. Every time you featured a tropical like fragrances I’ll sit on my lazy boy grab a cold one and relax. Always entertained when you’re describing AMBER COLOGNE and it shows how passionate you are doing your craft. It’s a little bit on the pricey side. Definitely will acquire it before summer time. Secondly which is my 2nd pick is the Oud Monarch. This a great winter fragrance. My nose is always looking or smelling for this matter for an animalistic scent. I have some light oud scent maybe its time to kick it up a notch. Last and my 3rd pick. Honestly the way you describe SAYAT NOVA being so smokey. I do have a lot of smokey fragrances but none of them are I would consider being intensively strong. They are from light to medium smokey vibe. But it doesn’t mean that I don’t like it. What strikes me is the notes of fruits and rum the booziness ugh I loooooooove booze note. It reminds me of Baraonda. Reason why I wanna participate and hopefully winning this beautiful composition is to experience it another trophy for my collection and it will not break the bank. From Long Beach, California USA

I only have Oud Monarch in 9 ml decant, but, man, it lasts forever, just 2 sprays. Delicious. I would sell my kidney for a bottle of this.

I would probably enjoy very much all three. The fragrance that seemed to be the best to me might be "Oud Monarch" on account of how intriguing the combination of those notes seems to be. I, in recent times, first heard of this fragrance house and certainly I've been wanting to try them. I appreciate this video because it causes me to be more familiar with a fragrance house that seems to release high-quality fragrances. I also appreciate the reminder that some fragrances stain/discolor certain clothing. Sayat Nova sounds the best. A great tribute to the poet & town. Most of yr vids kinda makes me feel like i’m right there experiencing the olfactory, with modest narration n description on how you actually feel while testing those scents, helps me to feel relatable. I have huge love for gourmand scent. Couldn’t stop sniffing em. Not just the neck, I’d even put an extra spray on the back of my hand for myself. This sounds like another gem for me. Also, oud without the animalic note is how i like it. I feel that Sayat Nova seems like a different direction than what Bortnikoff usually attempts, and the juice makes my mouth waters. Amber Cologne sounds amazing, as I'm from California and have extended family in Hawaii so I've smelled and love Frangipani. I liked how you described your own childhood story about how Frangipani was integrated into your life because I can connect with it as well. Another great video from Sebastian, I count on this channel to give me ideas for future fragrance purchases. After researching both Areej Ie Dore and Bortnikoff (business partners who each created their own houses) I bought a bottle of Bortnikoff's Vetiver Nocturne Absolue which is utterly rich, decadent and amazing. Bortnikoff is definitely my favourite of the two houses now. Sayat Nova is my favorite of the three, the rum, vanilla, Laotian Oud and Apricot make for a luscious Gourmand. (perfume info fetish maybe..) 😅 Seems like I’ve heard you mention Bortnikov before. The notes are simple and commonly used for the most part but I suppose it’s how they are blended. Given the brand description, it should be perfection. I do enjoy the smell of magnolia blooms. I bet this is what the Mad Hatter and the March Hare smells like though..

Thanks for the further information on this house, as I am not new to it. What I liked about the video was your review of the 3 fragrances, along with your enthusiastic breakdown of each. The one that sounds the best to me is the one that would come off most balanced to my nose - - Oud Monarch. I like it from top to bottom - the florals (I read that, even the civet has a floral smell), tobacco, cinnamon (I love cinnamon in fragrances), the 2 types of rose (rose lover here), the oud. Do I have to go on? Sayat Nova...why do I want it? Basically, because I want to experience it, as it would be my first experience with oud, and with the 2 types of oud, it would be like jumping into the deep end of the pool. Then there's the rum - - I like drinking rum, I just baked a rum cake (which was very good, if I say so myself), the sweetness from the apricot and vanilla. It should be experienced. Sayat Nova appeals to me most of the three. I enjoy gourmand fragrances and am beginning to explore oud a bit more. I've tried a few from Bortnikoff and they've all been very enjoyable. Located in California.
Out of those 3 fragrances OUD MONARCH sounds to me the most interesting , since BORTNIKOFF came from distilling oud - so it must be very high quality oud fragrance. Love your analysis and break down the perfume experience. From Israel :)
Love this house. All 3 that you mentioned are amazing. I love Amber cologne for summer as you mentioned. Its so uplifting. With Oud Monarch, I do not get the longevity but the blend and notes are to die for. I have a decant of Sayat Nova, and my oh my what a creation. Hopefully I can afford a bottle of these someday.
I feel like Amber Cologne could fit best my taste: Easy to wear, fresh and clean, super versatility. However, Sayat Nova could make a dope fall/winter nights out fragrance. I currently only have Ultra Male by JPG for that purpose, which is nice but one dimensionally sweet. I could do with another nights out frag that's a good deal more mature and different to the common nose. That would be cool as it's quite hard to get. Best regards from Germany

A long lasting tropical freshy sounds great for next summer. Sayat Nova sounds delightful. The idea of smoked apricots has me excited to smell it. I find his other fragrances to trend toward the gourmand. Trinity and Oud Sinaharja have decadent pastry accords from the Sri Lankan Oud. I would love to own a full bottle of Sayat Nova. One of these days I will chalk up the cash to buy a full bottle of one of Bortnikoff’s creations. There are a few more I need to sample first, one of them being Sayat Nova. Bortnikoff seems to be pushing the olfactory envelope combining art and science to produce fascinating scents utilizing real oud and not just aroma chemicals. I’ve heard and seen about this house before. Haven’t tried any of their fragrances. The most interesting composition for me is the AMBER COLOGNE. I’m always and will be into tropical summer fragrance. Every time you featured a tropical like fragrances I’ll sit on my lazy boy grab a cold one and relax. Always entertained when you’re describing AMBER COLOGNE and it shows how passionate you are doing your craft. It’s a little bit on the pricey side. Definitely will acquire it before summer time.
Secondly which is my 2nd pick is the Oud Monarch. This a great winter fragrance. My nose is always looking or smelling for this matter for an animalistic scent. I have some light oud scent maybe its time to kick it up a notch.
Last and my 3rd pick. Honestly the way you describe SAYAT NOVA being so smokey. I do have a lot of smokey fragrances but none of them are I would consider being intensively strong. They are from light to medium smokey vibe.
But it doesn’t mean that I don’t like it. What strikes me is the notes of fruits and rum the booziness ugh I loooooooove booze note. It reminds me of Baraonda.
Reason why I wanna participate and hopefully winning this beautiful composition is to experience it another trophy for my collection and it will not break the bank.

Thanks for drawing attention to Bortnikoff fragrances. I have vast collection of perfumes, but Bortnikoff fragrances have special place. First, they are EXTREMELY long lasting. I only have Oud Monarch in 9 ml decant, but, man, it lasts forever, just 2 sprays. Delicious. I would sell my kidney for a bottle of this.

Most of yr vids kinda makes me feel like i’m right there experiencing the olfactory, with modest narration n description on how you actually feel while testing those scents, helps me to feel relatable.
I have huge love for gourmand scent. Couldn’t stop sniffing em. Not just the neck, I’d even put an extra spray on the back of my hand for myself. This sounds like another gem for me. Also, oud without the animalic note is how i like it. I feel that Sayat Nova seems like a different direction than what Bortnikoff usually attempts, and the juice makes my mouth waters. Amber Cologne sounds amazing, as I'm from California and have extended family in Hawaii so I've smelled and love Frangipani. I liked how you described your own childhood story about how Frangipani was integrated into your life because I can connect with it as well. After researching both Areej Ie Dore and Bortnikoff (business partners who each created their own houses) I bought a bottle of Bortnikoff's Vetiver Nocturne Absolue which is utterly rich, decadent and amazing.
Bortnikoff is definitely my favourite of the two houses now.
Sayat Nova is my favorite of the three, the rum, vanilla, Laotian Oud and Apricot make for a luscious Gourmand.

I’ve first known about „Bortnikoff“ from your previous video. Really interested in „sayat nova“ and also what I like about your reviews is your power to describe the perfume so that we can literally taste the scent.

I have been interested in Oud Monarch for some time so this review was very helpful. I've been looking for variations on the cacao with woods and Bortnikoff is a well known house in my frame of reverence, just not had the opportunity to test yet. Second curiosity is Sayat Nova because of the apricot note. From Nevada.
Hi, I am from Bulgaria, and have discovered your channel pretty recently. I have been binge watching your reviews for the past 2 weeks, as I am just getting into expanding my fragrance tastes. from all 3 the Oud Imperial sounds most interesting to me, as I am just dipping my toes in Oud driven perfumes, but to be honest the civet notes sound kind of scary. I would like to win the bottle of Sayat Nova because it sounds fascinating to me, and I felt it deep in my soul when you mentioned kompot. Brought back childhood memories.

Oh Sayat Nova, your description is spot about the smoky gourmand kinda feeling. I had a sample from luckyscent and have been saving up for it too. I initially sampled SN since I was looking through fragrantica for fragrance that contain apricot and happened to come across SN. Would love to win a full bottle. I also having my eyes on Triad, it have 3 different ouds in it.

Sayat Nova sounds the best to me. Why? You had me "gourmand". The idea of it being a multifaceted oud makes it doubly interesting as well. I do appreciate your comments on how the notes work together with so much more detail than just listing the notes. Cheers. USA-TEXAS

All three fragrances seem very interesting, but Sayat Nova is the one that inspires me the most. I love rich, intense and smoky fragrances, with an always appreciated gourmand touch. It's really turning into hot weather here in Brisbane Queensland so I think Amber Cologne such a matchy kind of juice for people here, if I wear it and with Sayat Nova is interesting in the way perfumer picked different ouds to enhance the smokiness of the perfume.

Alabama US. Definitely Enjoy listening to your informative videos on obscure fragrances, even though I can’t afford to buy any or most. It is still cool to hear about things. (perfume info fetish maybe..) 😅 Seems like I’ve heard you mention Bortnikov before. The notes are simple and commonly used for the most part but I suppose it’s how they are blended. Given the brand description, it should be perfection. I do enjoy the smell of magnolia blooms. I bet this is what the Mad Hatter and the March Hare smells like though..
Another great video! I feel like you give your honest opinion about perfumes and you have great taste. I have tried many of your favorites and now own a few. I like dark,boozy fragrances so off course Sayat Nova is my favorite. When you called out the dried apricots and the vanilla I was sold.

Sayat Nova sounds cozy , sweet fruity-boozy fragrance,perfect for colder nights. Fun and happy .That's how i feel about it . Not familiar with Bortnikoff . Interesting house i will try soon.

Thanks for the further information on this house, as I am not new to it. What I liked about the video was your review of the 3 fragrances, along with your enthusiastic breakdown of each.
The one that sounds the best to me is the one that would come off most balanced to my nose - - Oud Monarch. I like it from top to bottom - the florals (I read that, even the civet has a floral smell), tobacco, cinnamon (I love cinnamon in fragrances), the 2 types of rose (rose lover here), the oud. Do I have to go on?
Sayat Nova...why do I want it? Basically, because I want to experience it, as it would be my first experience with oud, and with the 2 types of oud, it would be like jumping into the deep end of the pool. Then there's the rum - - I like drinking rum, I just baked a rum cake (which was very good, if I say so myself), the sweetness from the apricot and vanilla. It should be experienced.
