- "I wonder how all your lies taste!"
----------
So this song was supposed to be released back before we released Mimicry, and we actually finished it back in September. We started doing a PV for it but eventually had to scratch it due to some issues with the artist. We're really happy to be able to present you with this song, and we hope you'll enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it!

Nonsensical Abyss best comment ever
Nonsensical Abyss Okay but... What if the townsfolks are the REAL tattlers?
This meme is dead why did i laugh 😭
most people are talking about the Steampianist references
I'm just here wondering why a kid just walked into a bar
Retro and Revolt Same XD
Probably why Yohio screamed
M e t o o
Ikr
Retro and Revolt for a root beer of corse, do you think he would have gotten a real one?
The creepy thing is that one of Oliver's tales was actually truth... Still, in this story none of the townpeople belived him - instead they hung him up because he'd made them cry which they didn't want to. In other words, this town feigned ignorance to the hideous truth, the miserable fates of the others to keep themselves happy - whatever the price was.
Oliver saw the miserable truth of the town, and tried telling the truth to make them see what’s wrong, and yohioloid tried to hide it further by telling lies...
"he saw the truth within the lie, he saw it with his one good eye"
The song shows the horrid side of both truth and lies.
i think that's called lack of maturity....from both sides xP
both oliver's and of the town but... can we blame a whole town? is not like the town will let us... majority's reality always comes true..even when it isn't..
though, the song says...oliver seeked a thrill... not to fix things, but to have a thrill...
"and truth they hid behind theirs backs for it was better than the facts"
Basically what I got from this was the villagers just got pissy that the characters were spilling all of their secrets and were like
"hang him?"
"Yeah"
the townspeople just couldn't handle the tea :pensive:
So Yohioloid told scandalous lies and Oliver told dramatic truths? I must figure this out...
they both told truths but they didn't want to admit it i think
Yea idk either
As far as I think then neither of the men are lying, nor tattling. They both are exposing the rotten truth of the ''nice'' town. But the townsfolks got angry because they dare speak out the truth, so they were labelled as ''tattlers'' and were hung with the townsfolks' glee. And the truth forever lies to rot in the dark.
Hoàng Hồ Well this song got a lot darker fast.
Yohioloid: you will die soon
Oliver: you will die now
Okay so here's my theory:
Yohio is a young man who liked to make up stories and spread false rumors about people. Maybe a few details about them were true, as stated by the lyrics "he saw the truth beneath the lie". Either, way he was still a liar, or as the song calls him, a tattler.
Oliver is a young boy, who like Yohio, is also a liar. He likes to either make up stories or tell heavily dramatized versions of real events that took place. It takes a liar to know a liar, and Oliver saw through Yohioloid's charming facade. He humiliated him and the two became enemies determined to rat each other out. Evuntually, their attempts go too far and they are executed by the town, who discover the natures of their stories.
Maybe it's just me, but I get the impression that the town itself was also lying because they didn't want to accept the truth.
+KagamineSydmay That's a good idea! We won't deny or confirm anything at the moment :)
ok its been a year time to start denying or confirming :D
Or maybe the town itself is actually corrupted. It doesn't want people to see the mistakes because they want to be viewed as a paradise or sort.
So when the duo exposed them toward the light, they were labelled as ''tattlers'' and were executed with glee. And the truth forever lies in the darkness.
I thought like this too. But, I think that the first guy lied and the boy was saying truth. And both were really painful for people.

Moral of the story:
*Stop letting shady blond boys into the bar.*
aww c'monnnn :(
Lla Lorona, Secrets of Wysteria, Twaddles of A Flue Faker, then Kaleidoscope Haze.
I knew it. I LOVE THEM ALL.
3:30 Is this Kaleidoscope Haze? becouse I never listen with something like this
Is no one going to talk about the fact that at 4:26 when the townspeople come to get Oliver and yohioloid, Oliver was smiling at them and yohioloid actually showing slight fear and confusion ? He was all smiles and talk but he was truly scared and confused as to why the townspeople came to him with weapons and Oliver didn't let his smile falter at all. If you look closely at 4:27 he is smiling up at them. Why has no one even mentioned this yet?? It took me like five repeats to actually notice that Oliver smiled at them before they killed him and yohioloid smile was completely gone from his face unlike in the beginning of the song.
I'm thinking that the townspeople were the ones lying? What if the two guys were telling the truth and they just won't accept those facts because, y'know, they're hurt lmao
Canada
Me as well
Canada Or maybe... The town itself is corrupted, but they want people to think that it's a paradise. So when the duo began to expose them, the townsfolks got angry because they dare speak out the stigmas like prostitution, murder, cannibalism, etc. And so they hung the duo with glee, and the duo were tagged as ''tattlers'' and the truth was left to rot in the darkness.
**cough** North Korea
Sorry, but in the song when yohio tells about a rumor about a girl. Oliver tells it wrong. So who is who. And pls correct me if l wrong
Sooo two minors walked into a bar, called everyone else out in their lies, and were butchered and hanged for it?

Why do I like the "So she did the unspeakable?" part so much?
Kawaii Kyla I do to, Ollie just has the cutest voice.

YOHIO IS A SWEDISH MAN WHO SINGS JAPANESE AND ENGLISH SONGS AND IRL HE LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE AN ANIME BOI
Does Oliver actually sing any happy songs
Well there was that one song, uh..
Gay sex. It was pretty happy.
dinky dink
and gay sex
I’m a bit late to the party but Dear Diary is pretty upbeat-
Eternity is pretty happy
As I view this song then both the men were all exposing the truth. The town was already well-known for their perfectness (yet corrupted inside). But after the duo's exposure, the townsfolks got angry and they hung the duo with glee. And the truth are labeled as ''stories'' and left rotten in the darkness. The duo were labeled as tattlers and became a theme of ridicule for their ''lies'' afterwards.
Ok but I don’t see enough appreciation for the tuning and mixing for Oliver’s little bird puppet voice at around 3:03 Bc oh my gosh it literally sounds like he’s doing a funny voice w his mouth moving a specific way
I'm pretty sure 1:25 is a jab at Big Al and I love it.

Oliver : l ain't see anything, du du du ~ * walk away *
Yohio : hell nah, your going down with me * drag oliver *
"my lies taste like bullsh*t"
Okay so here’s my theory as to how this song fits in with the kaleidoscope haze series,
I believe that Oliver and Yohioloid symbolize the people not on drugs and the town symbolizes the people who were (because in the town in the final frames we see the elephant toy from the first song in the series so that’s what led me to believe that) and this song is from the mind of the drug users not wanting to accept the truth that the world was telling them that what their drug abuse is bad so the drug users cut those people out of their lives so they could “be happy” and do what they want. (Like when the tattlers were lynched)
In you have anything to add I’d love to hear it!
That is actually a pretty good theory, no clue to if it is true.. but I like it!

Seeing Oliver with shoes is both relieving and bothering
Far away, and long ago
There was a land, a nice plateau
There was a town, and next to it
Lived a young man who would not quit!
You see, this man was tall and fair.
He spoke and acted without care.
And with his words and with his charm,
The whole town believed without alarm.
The stories that he weaved
Would soon cause the town to grieve
He roamed the streets from dusk ‘til dawn,
Without a care, without a yawn.
He walked into a bar and smiled,
He said he’d stay a little while
But soon, it all just went awry,
When, from afar, he heard a cry!
“I bet you it’s that blue-haired vixen!
You know she isn’t free of sin?”
“I saw her working down the block,
Where, on her knees, she begged for xxxx!”
“Or maybe it’s your husband Ann?
I heard he isn’t half a man.
With legs spread wide from nine to five,
I wonder how you’re still alive!”
And so, he went off tattling,
From winter snow to sunny spring.
But soon, it all went straight downhill,
For now, he seeks another thrill!
But soon, one day, his time will come,
When justice seeks and finds his wrongs.
And he will learn to hold his tongue,
By the end of this song!
There once was a boy with bright, blonde hair,
Who sought a thrill without a care
He roamed the streets from dusk to dawn
For stories that he had foregone!
You see, this boy was young in mind,
And even though they thought him blind,
Just from his words and with his charm,
The town, they praised without alarm.
The stories that he weaved,
Would soon cause the town to grieve.
He saw the truth beneath the lie,
He saw it with his one good eye!
He walked into a bar and smiled,
He said he’d stay a little while
But soon, it all just went awry,
When tattler came in with a cry!
“So she did the unspeakable?”
“She drowned them like in the fables!”
“He did not taste the precious meat.”
“He used the cleavers, cut her feet!”
“A portrait hid a tiny child,
And we were sad a little while.”
“The colors mixed without a trace.
I wonder how all your lies taste!”
And so, he went off mockingly
As tattler hung his head and fleed,
But soon, it all will be set straight
For everyone will face their fate.
But soon, one day, his time will come
When justice seeks and finds his wrongs,
And he will learn to hold his tongue
By the end of this song!
Far away, and long ago
There was a land, a nice plateau
There was a town, and next to it
Lived a young man who would not quit!
You see, these two, they hit a snare,
And neither man was well aware,
That with their words and with their charm,
The town began their great alarm!
The stories that they spoke and weaved,
Had finally caused the town to grieve.
And fed up with their foolish lies,
They boiled their blood and gouged their eyes.
The truth, here, kids, it’s all a lie
The lie is that the truth was dry
So never cause people to cry
With fibs or tales of any kind
And so, the town lived happily,
As both tattlers, they hung with glee.
And truth they hid behind their backs,
For it was better than the facts.
And soon, one day, their time will come,
When justice seeks and fixes wrongs
And the town lived forever strong
So it is the end of this song!
Thank you !
